The second round of the European Supersport Cup was held at Imola, in Italy. As usual, the riders shared the grid with the World Supersport riders.
Shortly after the start the race was redflagged because of the crash of Gamarino and of the oil lost from Krummenacher’s motorcycle. The second start was for a 11-lap race.
The Italian rider Alessandro Zaccone (in the photo) was very close to the leading group and was again the fastest rider forming part of the FIM Europe Supersport Cup, with the San Carlo Team Italia rider coming home in P5 to head the ESS challenge.
On the podium with Zaccone, Mikhalchick, from Ucraine, on Kawasaki of DS Junior Team, and Bassani, team mate of Zaccone in San Carlo Team Italia. Fourth position for Stirpe in front of Metcher.
