Dragbike European Championship:
Santa Pod opens the 2024 season

The first round of the Dragbike European Championship and Dragbike Junior Cup took place from May 24th to 27th at Santa Pod Raceway, in Great Britain.
An eventful event with tough weather conditions, after a sunny qualifying first day.
The heavy rain of Sunday and Monday did not allow to race regular sessions and in order to finish the race for most classes the organizer had to reduce the distance to a shorter 1/8 mile, where the top speeds are at a safer level to get to a stop.

In SuperTwin TopFuel won Marcus Christiansen from Denmark and runner-up Chris van Nimmen from Belgium. In ProStockBike P1 for Jörg Lymant from Germany and runner-up Bertrand Maurice from France. Marcus Christiansen from Denmark won the SuperTwin class.
Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain were not raced the TopFuelBike class final between Rikard Gustafson and Thomas Pettersson, and the SuperStreetBike final between Jake Mechaell and Chris Reed.

Challenging fight in the Junior Cup: at the end the class has been won by Hollie King with a runner-up Miss Leah Morrison, both from England.
