European Team Speedway Championship: Poland team flies at home race The new European Championship fired into life last weekend in Poznań, Poland. Welcoming fans from the whole country, the race was live broadcasted on the main TVP Sport Channel. The first ever title was grabbed by Poland, followed by Denmark which had to fight with Great Britain until the last heat for the second position. Martin De Graaff, FIM Europe President “I was happy to join the new European Team Speedway Championship in Poznan. It was many years ago that this event took place. FIM Europe has good Speedway races for the European Championship and this event enriches our calendar. It was good to see team from Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark and Poland fight for the European title in 20 heats, not only for the results as nations, but also as individual. Congratulation to the Polish team for the win!”.

SEC: Kołodziej won in Debrecen

SEC Speedway European Championship: Kołodziej won in Debrecen QR3 for the SEC, the Speedway European Championship, in Debrecen, Hungary. Janusz Kołodziej lost only one point during the whole event and with 14 points won the second qualifying round of SEC 2022. The representative of Poland advanced to the challenge after four heat wins in a row. Finally, he crossed the finish line behind the rival only once - in heat 20 was chasing Michael Jepsen Jensen, but it was the Dane who finished first. SEC's spots were also taken by four more riders - Dimitri Berge, Jacob Thorssell, Andzejs Lebedevs and Michael Jepsen Jensen Berge - like Kołodziej - also lost points in only one heat. SEC: Speedway European Championship QR1 - Bartosz Smektała wins in Stralsund The qualifying rounds for the SEC challenge, the Speedway Europen Championship, which determine the participants in this year's Individual European Championship, is begun this weekend in Stralsund, Germany. The Speedway Euro Championship is a four-round series of competitions for the title of Individual European Champion. The battle for the gold medal will begin on July 2 in Rybnik. Then, the riders will compete in Gustrow (August 6) and Łódź (September 3). The final round will take place on September 23 in Pardubice. At the end of an exciting competition of 22 heats, Bartosz Smektala won the qualifying round. Kai Huckenbeck, Timo Lahti, Fredrik Jakobsen and Rasmus Jensen also advanced to the final round. Track Racing referees support program

Track Racing referees support program The Track Racing Commission, with approval of the Managing Council, decided to begin a special program for referees to support them when officiating at FIM Europe meetings, where they work as a Jury President and a Referee at the same time. The first Zoom virtual meeting of the Referees Support Program took place on December 16th with participation of all referees.  Susanne Neuhäuser and Marek Wojaczek prepared a presentation with general information on the structure, the FIM Europe and general information on additional duties when officiating as Jury President and Referee, as well as examples from meetings in 2021 season. Individual Ice Speedway European Championship: the Final in Poland The impressing Arena Lodowa in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland, hosted the Final of the Individual Ice Speedway European Championship. The competition was broadcasted live on NC+ and You Tube with great enthusiasm of the track racing lovers. At the end of a competitive race, packed with accidents but fortunately with no injured riders, the Russian Nikita Bogdanov won the European Title, while the defending champion Dmitriy Solyannikov lost his chance falling in the Final. European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship: SF2 SemiFinal 2 of the European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship in Pardubice, in the Czech Republic, in a a hot and sunny summer day. The event, opened to the public, saw the Polish U23 Team won with 56 points. Second place for the Swedish team with 27 points. For the third place it was a battle between the Mixed Team (Slovenia, Slovaka and Austria) and the Czech Team: in the end the home team scored 20 points. The best riders in the polish team were Wiktor Lampard and Jakub Miskowiak, both with 12 individual points. Filip Hjemland and Gustav Grahn (Sweden) scored 8 points each. Team Poland will meet Team Denmark, who qualified earlier this month in Brockstedt for the Final, and Team Germany, who is the best 2nd placed Team from both SemiFinals (44 Points in Brockstedt) will meet the home Team

Trial European Championship: final round in Kramolin The final round of the Trial European Championship was held in the little town of Kramolin, in the Czech Republic. AMK Nepomuk is an experienced organizer with several European and World Championships for Trials and also a regular organizer for the Sidecar Motocross. In the Women class three riders fought for the podium. The German Vivian Wachs had a very good day, taking the lead from the start and keeping it through the whole race. Behind her Alice Minta (GBR) and Naomi Monnier (FFM). Thanks to this second position and the victory in the first round, Alice got the title. Second position for Naomi and third for Vivian.
