European U19 Individual Speedway Championship: QR3 in Denmark Exciting Q3 for the European U19 Individual Speedway Championship in a sunny and hot day in Holsted, Denmark. The winner Philip Hellström-Bängs (Sweden) dropped only one point and stormed to victory and was also crowned Nordic U19 champion. There was a run-off to decide second and third place, between Marcus Birkemose and Emil Breum, both with 12 points, and the run off was won by Marcus Birkemose. Fourth and fifth place was also a tie on 10 points, which was taken by the 2 norwegian riders Mathias Pollestad and Espen Sola. To decide the last qualifying place for the final, three riders with 9 points. The winner of the run off was Danish rider Esben Hjerrild. Second was Casper Henriksson from Sweden, and last was Silas Høegh from Denmark.   Visit our Track Racing page

SEC: Final 1 On Wednesday, June 16th, the competition for the title of Speedway European Champion began on the track in Bydgoszcz. Leon Madsen was the best in the first of the four final rounds, although he did not seem to be the favorite to win the competition. Again, the Dane showed his high class in the most important heats of the day and managed to perfectly use the replay of the final run. The leader of the general classification, however, was Piotr Pawlicki, who finished second, but collected the most points. The podium was completed by SEC debutant Daniel Bewley. Fans saw an interesting competition, in with great racing and many position changings. Already in the first run a great duel was fought by Patryk Dudek and Piotr Pawlicki, the main Polish candidates to win the whole series.

European U19 Pairs Speedway Championship: Latvian Gusts, Matjusonoks, Ansviesulis win the Final The historic city of Gdańsk, Poland, hosted the first ever European U19 Pairs Speedway Championship Final. In a thrilling and emotional afternoon, the Latvian Pair took the leading from the beginning. After an easy match with the Czech and German Pairs, it won 5:1 with pre-meeting favourites Polish and confirmed its hegemony in heat 11 with a double win over British. The British lost their comfortable lead over Polish in heat 13 after an own fall of Rowe but stayed focused on the result and collected points. After the Polish win 5:1 over Danish in heat 20 and a tie between Great Britain and Sweden in heat 21 the run-off decided on the second place in which Poland got the silver medal. The Individual European Championship series will start in 19 days in Bydgoszcz. We already know the full lineup of this year's Individual European Championship. Robert Lambert, Leon Madsen, Mikkel Michelsen and Bartosz Smektala saved their spots in last year’s competition. These five were joined by last year's sixth place finisher, Nicki Pedersen, who will replace Grigori Laguta in this year's series. The next five places were taken by the riders who did their best in Pardubice where SEC Challenge was held. Patryk Dudek won the meeting. Speedway European Championship: Patryk Dudek won in Pardubice The SEC Challenge tournament was held in Pardubice in Czech Republic and the stake was 5 places in the final rounds of this year's Individual European Championship. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no possibility to make the qualifying rounds, fortunately the organizers were able to do at least one Challenge meeting. The competition included 16 riders, who had a great chance of being promoted to the Speedway Euro Champinship series. The beginning was down to Timo Lahti and Dan Bewley. The Finn and the Briton were the only riders with both wins. Next series made some bigger changes in the general classification. After 16 heats, Sergey Logachev was in the first place and Andzejs Lebedevs and Dan Bewley were behind him. European U19 Individual Speedway Championship: QR1 in Hungary With the Qualifying Round 1, hosted in Nagyhalász, Hungary, the 2021 season of the European U19 Individual Speedway Championship has officially begun. The meeting was run on dry track and was opened to the public thanks to the excellent work of the club members. At the end of a thrilling fight riders Ernest Matjusonoks from Latvia and Mateusz Ciernak from Poland lost only 1 point, racing an extra heat for the win. At the end the Latvian got the better and won QR1. Third position for Polish Karol Zupinski. The next event will be held on 19 June in Holsted, Denmark. Visit our track racing page

Nicki Pedersen becomes permanent participant of SEC 2021  Three-time Individual World Champion and 2016 Individual European Champion, Nicki Pedersen will appear in the Speedway Euro Championship 2021 as a permanent participant. The Dane will replace Grigory Laguta. This will be the seventh cycle of the Individual European Champion competition in which Nicki Pedersen will appear. The Dane competed in the SEC series in the years 2013-2016 and 2019-2020. So far, the three-time Individual World Champion has won four Speedway Euro Championship medals - one gold, two silver and one bronze. He won the most valuable one five years ago during a very unusual situation in Rybnik. Before the final round of the competition, the leader of the interim classification was Antonio Lindbaeck, and Nicki Pedersen was only on the ninth place. European Pairs Speedway Championship: Poland wins the title Terenzano, Italy, hosted on Saturday 17th October the final round of the European Pairs Speedway Championship. It was an exciting event with a lot of close racing and several passes, especially in the first half of the meeting, despite the tricky conditions due the rain of the previous days. Pre-meeting favourite team Poland met the expectation with their two top rider Jamrog Jakub and Victor Trofimov, who were always in control for the top spot of the podium. Second place for the Latvians thanks to a brilliant display of former European Champion Andzejs Lebedevs. He was one of the most entertaining riders of the meeting and scored 17 points not all from the start. European U21 Individual Speedway Championship: Danish Marcus Birkemose takes the title! After the cancellation of the final round of the European U21 Individual Speedway Championship in Hungary due to the restrictions of the Coronavirus, the event was held today in Gdańsk, Poland. Young riders from all over Europe fought each other for the title: before the last series of heats 7 riders still had a chance for a medal. At the end Marcus Birkemose scored 2 points to win the title and Jakub Miśkowiak won his last heat to finish second, Alexander Woentin completed the podium. The final classification: 1.
