European Moto2 and Superbike Championship in Jerez (Spain) – Day 2

Xavi Vierge fighting with Tetsuta Nagashima Under an overcast sky, but with mild temperatures and a strong wind rather than the expected heavy rain, over ten thousand motorcycle racing fans gathered at the Circuito de Jerez to enjoy the seventh event of the FIM CEV Repsol calendar. In the Moto2 European Championship Xavi Vierge looks a strong contender for the title after winning today. Carmelo Morales adds the Superbike European Championship title to his resume, after taking first position in both “Intense” is the only way to sum up the Moto2 European Championship race. A fierce battle for control erupted right from the light: the explosive Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex) and Xavi Vierge (SPA-Tech3) were instantly on the front, with the Spanish rider making up 5 positions in a flash. European Moto2 and Superbike Championship in Jerez (Spain) – Day 1

Edgar Pons Despite the unpromising forecast, the weather was partly favourable for the FIM CEV Repsol today in Jerez, with riders of the two categories enjoying one session with a totally dry track though the other was affected by rain. The prevailing wind hampered the day’s qualifying sessions from beginning to end, which nevertheless left Pons in Moto2 and Morales in Superbike out in front despite the inclement weather.In the first session of the Moto2 European Championship Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex) was quickest, but in the second Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex) put in the fastest time. However, the best times were posted in the morning sun, as the rain began to fall 20 minutes into the second session. In pole position tomorrow will be championship leader, Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex), accompanied by Alan Techer (FRA-Tech 3) and Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex) on the front row. Last round of the Supermono European Cup in Assen (The Netherlands)

The last round with two races of the FIM Europe Supermono Cup was held this weekend at the Assen Track in Holland. Spreads rounds with many changes of positions to the delight of the audience. Last round of Junior Cup in Magny-Cours (France)

Augusto Fernandez (WIL Sport) has clinched the 2014 Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda title after an intense 10 lap race at Magny-Cours, held under wet conditions. The young Spaniard, who had to finish the race in the top-15, was third at the flag behind race winner Javier Orellana (Europ Food SL) and wildcard Dorian Laville (Team Laville Mi&Do). Last round of Superstock 600 in Magny-Cours (France)

The final STK600 race of the year has been won by Toprak Razgatlioglu (Bike ServiceRacing) after a thrilling 8 lap race at Magny-Cours this afternoon. The race was initially stopped after a nine rider crash at the infamous turn four hairpin, thankfully all riders were uninjured an all but two were able to take the restart. On the restart everyone made it safely around the hairpin and at the front a titanic battle then ensued. With several of the leading riders making their debut in the class, the fans were treated to a spectacular fight as the leading group consisting of over nine riders stayed locked together. At the flag it was Razgatlioglu who came out victorious with Anthony Dumont (SLMotuer) and Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing) completing the podium. Final 4 of the Individual Speedway EC in Czestochowa (Poland)

The fourth and last Final of 2014 Speedway European Championship took place on 19th September in the beautiful Speedway Arena of Czestochowa, Poland. 6.500 spectators have seen a very exciting Final with everything that makes speedway so spectaculars. Many heats with a lot of overtakes, great sport and fair racing has been a real advertising of our sport. Thanks to One Sport as promoter of this SEC series not only the spectators in the stadium but also millions of audience around the world could see this fantastic Final live on TV. The medals to the Emil Sayfutdinov, Russia as a new European Champion as well to 2.place Peter Kildemand and 3.place Nicki Pedersen (both Denmark) were given by the FIM Europe President, Dr. Wolgang Srb, who also enjoyed the meeting very much. Pata European Junior Cup in Jerez (Spain)

Josh Harland (Josh Harland Racing) won today’s 10 lap Pata European Junior Cup race at Jerez after a thrilling battle from lights that was decided for a split of a second between eight riders at the finish line. Angelo Licciardi (S.E.F.A.B Racing) and Illan Fernandez (Evo Kids Racing) completed the podium, with Javier Orellana (Europe Food SL) in fourth place ahead of Mika Perez (Cuna de Campeones). Sixth place Augusto Fernandez (Wil Sport) now needs only one point at Magny-Cours to grab the EJC title. European Superstock 600cc in Jerez (Spain)

Marco Faccani (San Carlo Team Italia) has won the Saturday European Superstock 600c race at Jerez (Spain) and with it the 2014 championship. Starting from Pole Position he and Federico Caricasulo (Evan Bros Racing Team) were soon over three seconds clear of the chasing pack, leaving the duo to fight for the victory. In the end it was Faccani who has been at the front of all of the races bar one this year who claimed his fifth win of the year ahead of his compatriot who himself notched up his 3rd podium of the season. The final podium place was decided in favour of Gauthier Duwelz (MVR Racing Team) after a race long duel saw him edge out Andrea Tucci (San Carlo Team Italia) who finished 4th. The final round with two races of the Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship was held this weekend at the Passo Zambla near Bergamo (Italy). On Saturday morning, the weather conditions was cloudy and later rain, afternoon sunny and the first official practice was dry. Sunday after the official practice beginning to rain, so the first race was wet and the second race was dry.
