Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Terenzano (Italy)

Emil Sayfutdinov won the SEC Challenge, which was held in Terenzano, Italy, in front of around 1.300 spectators, in a sunny day. The Russian rider is one of 5 riders, who got promoted to this year’s Speedway Euro Championship series and this list included also Mikkel Michelsen (Denmark), Jozsef Franc (Czech Republic), Andrey Kudriashov (Russia) and Peter Kildemand (Denmark). The first two series of the meeting were a chain of crashes and exclusions. However, fans gathered at the MC Olimpia Terenzano venue, couldn’t complain about lack of fight on the track. There were some spectacular clashes with Antonio Lindbaeck and Kai Huckenbeck, but none of them was able to reach the promotion. Road Race Hill Climb European Championship at Landshaag (Austria)

The first round of European Hill Climb Championship was held at the traditional location at Landshaag, in Austria. Mr. Martin de Graaff, FIM Europe 1st Deputy President, visited the event. Besides the high level of organisation and nice number of spectators – around 15.000 - all the practices and heats were completed in optimal dry, sunny conditions without any crashes. In the practices the fastest rider in FIM Europe classes were: in 250cc Guido Testoni (FMI), in Supersport: Rafael Neuner (AMF), in Superbike: Wolfgang Gammer (AMF), in Supermono Open: Josef Frauenschuh (AMF). mde The winners of the races on Sunday are: in 250cc Guido Testoni from Italy; in Supersport Rafael Neuner from Austria; in Superbike Wolfgang Gammer from Austria; in Supermono Open Josef Frauenschuh from Austria. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Pardubice (Czech Republic)

The town of Pardubice in the east of the Czech Republic hosted the SemiFinal 4 of the Individual Speedway European Championship, which was held in front of around 1100 spectators. The meeting was run with sunny, warm weather. 18 riders took part to the event. Thanks to the work of the local organizers, the track was ready for a perfect competition and the spectators enjoyed a very good race. Antonio Lindback from Sweden won ahead of German Kai Huckenbeck and of home rider Eduard Karcmar, and the three riders qualified to the challenge which will be held in Terenzano in one week (on May 5th) The meeting was crash free and was run over in less than 3 hours. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Gorican (Croatia)

It was a superb meeting with many riders on equal points fighting for “Last chance” heat. Weather was perfect for an evening race, track was very well maintained and provided excellent racing. The winner Andriy Karpov from Ukraine ended second in the regular part after 20 heats behind his countryman Aleksandr Loktaev, but he managed to be at his best in the semifinal, where Loktaev conquered the second place. Local favourite Jurica Pavlic gave the crowd something to cheer about with his spirited ride, securing the spot, firstly in the last chance heat and then conquering the third place in the semifinal which leads to the ECC. Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Debrecen (Hungary)

In sunny, hot weather, the Semi-Final 3 of the Individual Speedway Euro Championship was held at Debrecen, in Hungary, in front of around 2.000 spectators. The event finished with three Danish riders on the podium: Mikkel Michelsen won ahead of Peter Kildeman and Nikolai Klindt. Since only two riders from the same Federation can go forward to the Final, Josef Franc from Czech Republic will do his access to the event instead of Klindt. The final will take place at Lonigo, in Italy, on May 5th.

Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Balakovo (Russia)

In sunny weather on the restaging date the Individual Speedway European Championship returned to the Russian city of Balakovo in front of a big crowd of around 8.000 spectators. The event had many exciting moments and it was mainly the competition between the Polish and Russian riders to keep high the emotions. The final heat decided that two Russian riders qualified for the European Championship: Ilia Chalov won in front of Andrei Kudriashov, both from Russia, with Polish Krystian Pieszczek in third position. Superstock 1000 European Championship at Assen (The Netherlands) - Day2

Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW) grabbed his third consecutive European Superstock 1000 Championship win, second this season, with a dominant display at TT Circuit Assen. The German, starting from pole, controlled the race right from the start and gave his rivals no option, completing a fabulous weekend in which he was the fastest in practice, qualifying, and had the best in-race lap. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Behind him, Roberto Tamburini (Berclaz Racing Team SA), whilst unable to match Reiterberger’s impressive pace, scored another second-place finish and remains just 10 points off the championship lead. Maximilian Scheib (Aprilia Racing Team), who rivalled Reiterberger at MotorLand Aragon before an untimely mechanical error at the end kicked him off the podium, returned to the top in third. Superstock 1000 European Championship at Assen (The Netherlands) - Day1

Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW) stormed to a second successive pole position of the season, as the European 1000 Superstock Championship moves to Assen for the second race of the season. Victorious at MotorLand Aragon, Reiterberger showed impressive dominance throughout the session, running consistently in the mid-1’36s while his closest rivals barely managed to make it under 1’37. The first five positions from the starting grid at the Spanish Round were repeated, with Roberto Tamburini (Berclaz Racing Team SA) making it in ahead of Federico Sandi (Motocorsa Racing) by just one thousandth of a second, in second and third respectively. As in Aragon, Maximilian Scheib (Aprilia Racing Team) made it through the checkered flag with the fourth best time and will hope to compete for the win again, after an electronic error derailed his bid last weekend. European Superstock 1000 at Aragon (Spain) - Day2

Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW, photo1) recorded his second consecutive win in the European Superstock 1000 Championship in the inaugural race of the 2018 season. After closing last year on the top step of the podium at Jerez, the new season opened with a similar picture, the German making the best of his pole position to start to cross in first place. It didn’t come easy for Reiterberger, however, with Maximilian Scheib (Aprilia Racing Team) getting past Reiterberger and controlling long stretches of the race. The Chilean was eventually overtaken by Reiterberger and nearly had his race spoiled by a technical failure, his bike momentarily coming to a near stop with just one lap to go. European Superstock 1000 at Aragon (Spain)

In his return to the European Superstock 1000 Championship, Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW, in the photos) secured the pole position at the MotorLand Aragon circuit with a time of 1:51:427. The German rider, also dominant in Free Practices 2 and 3 of STK1000, gave no options to his rivals. Italians Roberto Tamburini (Berclaz Racing Team SA) and Federico Sandi (MOTOCORSA Racing), 0.558 and 0.579 seconds away respectively, will accompany the German on the front row of the grid. Starting from fourth will be Maximillian Scheib (Aprilia Racing Team), just ahead of debutant Jan Bühn (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW) and Luca Vitali (Aprilia Racing Team).
