FIM Europe launches the European Superstock 1000 Cup in the Alpe Adria series

On September 27th 2018 FIM Europe and Dorna WSBK Organization have announced that as of 2019 the European Superstock 1000 Championship will no longer be part of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. Last September FIM Europe and Dorna WSBK Organization have announced that as of 2019 the European Superstock 1000 Championship will no longer be part of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. FIM Europe is now planning to create a European Superstock 1000 Cup, as from 2019, in the Alpe Adria series. The Alpe Adria Motorcycle Union was founded in 1981. The Motocross Commission was founded before, but soon, other disciplines of motorsport were organised. Road racing is the most successful discipline in AAMU with an average of more than 500 riders per season and a history of 20 years of competition. European Moto2 and Talent Cup at Albacete (Spain) – Day2

Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) was proclaimed champion of the Moto2™ European Championship in the penultimate round of the FIM CEV Repsol this Sunday at the Circuit de Albacete. On a day marked by heavy rain, Alex Millán (Aro Racing) won from pole position in the European Talent Cup. Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) won the first Moto2™ race; the second race was stopped on the tenth lap due to weather conditions and Luis Pomares (Pinamoto RS) adjudged the winner. Sunday’s FIM CEV Repsol round looks like being decisive with Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) poised to take the Moto2™ European Championship title against poleman Edgar Pons (AGR Team, photo1). Alex Millán (Aro Racing, photo2) in the European Talent Cup will head off his race in this penultimate round of the championship at the Circuit de Albacete this weekend. In Moto2™, Edgar Pons dominated his rivals in the two qualifying sessions, posting an unmatched time of 1:31.945 in the morning session. The AGR Team rider will lead the grid for the third time in a row, this time accompanied by by Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) and Jesko Raffin. Raffin only needs four points more than the poleman in the first of Sunday’s two races to take the Moto2™ ECh title for the second time. European Supersport 300 Cup at Oschersleben (Germany)

In race1 of European Supersport 300 Cup at Oschersleben, in Germany the winner was Michal Bulik (photo1) from Maco Racing Team. The gap at the finish line was less than 0,1 sec. on Samuel Lochoff from South Africa. With the second place Lochoff (Austrian YART Team under Samurai-Yart Racing) won the SSP 300 European CUP 2018. The second place in the Cup was also fixed after this race for Tarec van der Merwe from South Africa. Wet conditions for today’s final raceday. The warm up was declared as wet and not all riders attended it. The weather forecast for the afternoon was dry and sunny. The race started in very good conditions and Samuel Lochoff won but the fastest lap of the race was signed by Michal Bulik, a Slovakian rider of MACO Racing team who also took part to the World EWC Championship. European Street Freestyle Cup at Cologne (Germany)

The second event of the new discipline in FIM Europe was organised in the context of the famous Intermot Exhibition at Cologne, in Germany. The present riders made a very spectacular show for the spectators several times due to the practice sessions. On Saturday the Semi Finals and the Best Trick were organised and the results after the first two rounds saw Foma Kalinin 1st, Pawel Karbownik 2nd and Danila Zhelanov 3rd. On Sunday after a morning practice session the Finals started at 14:30 for the 12 riders who had to show their own best 5 minutes long program for the score marshals and the spectators. The final ranking of the event is: 1st Pawel Karbownik from Poland, 2nd Herczeg Balázs from Hungary and the 3rd Foma Kalinin from Russia. The Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto was the ideal setting for the sixth round of the FIM CEV Repsol, in which Edgar Pons (AGR) Team) chalked up his third consecutive triumph in Moto2™ and Matteo Bertelle (SIC 58 Squadra Corse) took both wins in the European Talent Cup. Óscar Ibáñez (Noyes Camp) won the second European Kawasaki Z Cup race of the weekend. In Moto2™, Edgar Pons was unstoppable on the way to his third consecutive victory. Edgar Pons (AGR Team) in Moto2™ (photo1) and David Salvador (Cuna de Campeones) in the European Talent Cup (photo2) took the poles in their respective categories in the latest round of the FIM CEV Repsol at the Circuito de Jerez. Gabriel Durán (Centro Moto) took pole and won the first race of the European Kawasaki Z Cup. Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) posted the best time in the Moto2™ European Championship, a 1:42.513 achieved in QP1, beating Edgar Pons by just 13 thousandths. However, the Wimu CNS Team rider suffered a 12-position penalty for a technical irregularity related to his bike, leaving first place to the AGR Team rider. In the end, Lukas Tulovic (Team Wimu CNS), third in the qualifying session, will start second followed by Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior), who suffered a hard fall on Friday. European Superstock 1000 Championship no longer to continue into 2019

FIM Europe and Dorna WSBK Organization have announced that as of 2019 the European Superstock 1000 Championship will no longer be part of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. After 19 seasons of successful racing in around Europe, with 17 different champions and six different manufacturers taking titles in the class, the decision to not continue the series, has been made following the evolution of technical regulations in WorldSBK over recent years. Looking ahead to the future, the removal of the STK1000 category from the WorldSBK paddock will bring more value to national STK championships around Europe. In conjunction with FIM, the following balancing regulations have been updated and will be applied from and including Round 6 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (D) for European Supersport 300 Cup and Class Alpe Adria Supersport 300: Yamaha YZF-R3A (2018 Year Model, Euro 4) can use the inlet camshaft and cam sprocket of the Yamaha YZF-R3 (pre 2018 Year Models, Euro 3). Part numbers: • Intake camshaft: 2MS-E2170-01 • Cam sprocket: 1WD-E2176-00 No other parts can be exchanged between the different homologations of the Yamaha YZF-R3 and YZF-R3A.
