European Individual Ice Speedway Championship in Ufa (Russia)

  The event was held last week-end in in Ufa, Russia and was organized in very high level under and excellent winter weather with a temperature of about - 8 C. 4500 spectator attended the event and enjoyed the fight which saw that Russian riders  on top but FMI  Lukas Bauer and KNMV  Jesper Iwema riders were very near to got the title. It was necessary to have a rerun for third and fourth place between those two riders and Lukas won third place before Jasper. The meeting was interesting to the very last heat with a hard fight in very good ice and the Final A, which took place the Saturday, was also “ The Memorial Heat Gabdrahman Kadyrov ”. Gabdrahman Kadyrov won the first two European Championships in 1963, 1964 and has been Ice Speed ​​World Champion in 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972 and 1973. JIR and FIM Europe are launching the new 2019 Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup. This new single-brand continental cup will be run with the new Yamaha YZF-R3 machine equipped with a race kit. Aim of the series, on seven events taking place in important circuits, is to find motorcycle racing’s future world champions. At entry level, the challenge will be for riders from 13 to 19 years-old called the bLU cRU category, while the Open Class will give the access to older riders. The bikes will be shared among the riders of the two groups. 2019 updates to FIM CEV Repsol regulations

The FIM CEV Repsol Committee has decided to introduce the following changes and updates to the regulations: • Practising during the week of the FIM CEV Repsol is allowed, but only if it is immediately after a MotoGP™ Grand Prix on the same circuit. Note: this is only applicable to the final event of the season • The maximum number of days of free practice allowed will count from January 1st of the season. • It is mandatory to use a back and chest protector. • The maximum number of riders admitted will be 44 in practice and qualifying and 38 in the race, in all circuits on the FIM CEV Repsol calendar. • It is forbidden to install rear fenders in the European Talent Cup. European Moto2 and Talent Cup at Valencia (Spain)

The last round of European Moto2, Talent Cup and Kawasaki Z Cup was held at Valencia (Spain). Yesterday the quickest of the Moto2™ European Championship riders was Edgar Pons (AGR Team, photo1), who took pole position ahead of the Italian Tommaso Marcon (Team Ciatti) and local rider Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS). Swiss rider Jesko Raffin (Easy Race), champion since Albacete, gained the third row of the grid with the seventh best time, more than a second adrift of the poleman. The youngest riders in the FIM CEV Repsol, competing in the European Talent Cup, are the only ones who still have a title to fight for. José Antonio Rueda (Estrella Galicia) earned pole position after dominating the two qualifying sessions of Group B.
