FIM Europe and Yamaha launch R3 bLU cRU FIM European Cup for young road racer   FIM Europe and Yamaha Motor Europe are pleased to announce the launch of a new road race series aimed at providing a path to the world stage for young riders. The Yamaha R3 bLU cRU FIM European Cup, a collaboration between Yamaha, FIM Europe and Dorna WSBK Organization (DWO) supported by JiR (Japan Italy Racing), will be contested across eight races at the European rounds of the 2020 FIM Superbike World Championship and will be open to riders aged between 12 and 15 years. The Yamaha R3 bLU cRU FIM European Cup has been designed as the ideal first step for young riders with world championship aspirations. The series will be contested exclusively aboard Yamaha's YZF-R3 machine, a race winner in the ultra-competitive FIM Supersport 300 World Championship already this season, with a grid

First session of Sporting Commission Meetings in Fiumicino, Italy In the first session of the meeting with the Sporting Commissions many items were discussed. The meetings took place in Fiumicino (Rome) and almost all commission members were present. In two weeks the other three sporting commissions will have their meetings. Present were the FIM Europe President Martin de Graaff, the first Deputy President Michal  Sikora, the Secretary General Alessandro Sambuco and Paola Bianchetti, responsible for sport matters in the office. 2020 FIM Motocross European Championships Official Calendar The official calendar also includes the rounds scheduled for MXGP, MX2 and Women’s Motocross World Championship.   FIM Europe and Youthstream are proud to release the 2020 FIM Motocross European Championships Official Calendar for classes EMX125, EMX250, EMX2T and EMX Open. The Opening venue of the European championships is going to be one of fans’ favourites, Matterley Basin, being the MXGP of Great Britain the first European GP to start off the season since 2012. The second stop will be the following weekend on 8th March in the sandy track of Valkenswaard, in the Netherlands. Then the calendar will visit some of the most emblematic tracks in the calendar such as Pietramurata in Trentino, St. Jean d’Angely in France, Teutschenthal in Germany, Orlyonok in Russia and Kegums in Latvia. CEV Repsol Moto2 European Championship and European Talent Cup: Edgar Pons is the new Moto2 Champion! Next to last race of the CEV Repsol Moto2 European Championship and European Talent Cup took place on 12th–13th October at Circuito de Albacete, in Spain. Edgar Pons took advantage of his first opportunity and lifted the Moto2™ European Championship title in the first race of the day - and he did it like a champion, winning from pole position. In Race1 Baiko Racing Team rider headed the race from the off followed by Héctor Garzó, Marcel Brenner (Kiefer Racing) and Anupab Sarmoon (VR46 Master Camp), who all took advantage of a good start to place themselves at the head of the race. The race was part of the Misano Classic Weekend: an important event with over 500 riders. The extraordinary challenges and the good weather let over 6000 spectators to enjoy the weekend. The race of the Vintage Endurance Cup was raced together with the Italian Endurance Championship, with an amazing grid with 47 team. Cross Country Cup: last round in Estonia The second and last event of the Cross Country Cup was raced on 12th October in Paikuse, Estonia. The track was 7 km long and mostly soft and sandy with mud and roots too. Motorcycle riders raced for 2 hours, while quad riders for 1 and a half hour and the rain made the fight even more challenging. Street Freestyle European Cup: last round in Turkey The last event of the Street Freestyle European Cup took place on 12th-13th October in the historic city of Ayfonkarahisar, Turkey, in the middle of the country. The track was in the area of the MXGP: a great experience for all the riders. After the Quarter and Semi-finals the Russian Foma Kalinin lead in front of the two Hungarian Balázs Herczeg and Milan Podani. In the final Foma Kalinin won both the race and the European title. Second position for Balázs Herczeg “Mókus” and third for Milán Podani.
