Snowcross European Championship: Swedish Gustav Sahlsten secures 2021 European title Photo credits: Marko Panula After the cancellation of last year event due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 FIM Europe Snowcross Championship took place this weekend in Rovaniemi, Finland. The two races were dominated by Swedish rider Gustav Sahlsten, who was unbeatable in final 1 and final 2 races, leading every lap of both heats. In the first race, while Sahlsten took the early lead, he was followed by Sami Huttunen and Emil Mikaelsen, while Gustav Salomonsson was making quick moves through the field to get himself into second by lap three. Pontus Lundström was able to follow Salomonsson to get into third and that’s how the race concluded. In the second heat, Sahlsten led the way from the beginning once again, with Salomonsson and Topi Posti, a young talent from Rovaniemi, right behind. Drag Racing season 2021 The FIM Europe would like to give you an update about the latest news about 2021 Drag Racing season. Due to the national restrictions and uncertainty related to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 Drag Racing season will be different compared to the previous years. Two races have been scheduled: the first in Hockenheim and the final in Santa Pod. These events are depending on the decisions of the German and British governments and the possibility for big groups of spectators to attend the races. If the competitions will take place, it will be without the EC status. Besides this, the FIM Europe is negotiating with Trakbak promoter came at the end of its contract period. A meeting for potential organisers of Drag Racing series (2022 and following years) will be organised during the 2021 summer time. All useful information will be published in due time.

FIM Europe Mini Bike Road Racing Championship 2021 After a tough 2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak, FIM Europe is looking forward to the new season with optimism presenting two events for the European Championship Mini Bike Road Racing. FIM Europe is glad to welcome two new national federations to host the events for 2021. The Slovakian Motorcycle Federation will be responsible for the opening round at Slovakia Ring, scheduled on 5th-6th June. Second and final round to take place on 31st July and 1st August by the DMSB, the German Federation, that will organize the event at Cheb Kartarena in the Czech Republic. Time schedule will remain the same with free practice on Friday, official practice on Saturday and two races on Sunday. More information will follow shortly when the supplementary rules will be announced.

Motocross European Championships: calendar updates FIM Europe would like to inform of the updates to the provisional 2021 calendar of the Motocross Championships. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to delay the start of the upcoming season and the first round will kick off in Great Britain in late June. The same race format as last year will be used during the upcoming season meaning that EMX will race on Saturday. The decision to run a one-day format was made due to the tight racing schedule in order to allow more recovery time for the riders and the team staff. In addition, the FIM-Europe Motocross of European Nations and Women's Motocross of European Nations scheduled on the 18th-19th of September in Riola Sardo, Italy, will now be as TBA, with more details to be announced at a later date. 2021 FIM CEV Repsol Regulations The FIM Europe and FIM have published the official technical rules that will regulate the 2021 FIM CEV Repsol. The regulations for the Moto2™ European Championship and Hawkers European Talent Cup are available here. For the purposes of simplicity and convenience/utility, these regulations include both specific sporting and technical rules for all the classes. Please, bear in mind that articles amended as from the 1st January 2021 are in bold green type. FIM-Europe Motocross of European Nations and Women's Motocross of European Nations: new date FIM Europe would like to inform about the new date of the FIM-Europe Motocross of European Nations and Women's Motocross of European Nations. The event is moved to 18th-19th September, remaining at the same venue of Riola Sardo, Sardinia. The MX of European Nation is aimed at the development of young riders to ride as a National team with each team consisting of 2 riders on 85cc bikes, 1 rider on a 125 bike and 1 rider on a 250cc bike. The Women's Motocross of European Nation is the only motocross championship in the world for Women to ride as a National team, each team consisting of 2 riders on 125cc 2 strokes and/or 250cc 4 stroke bikes.
