Northern Talent Cup: Gurecky wins the 2021 title Jakub Gurecky put together a stunning season in 2021, starting the year with four wins in the first six races and taking an early point lead. Some of his wet weather performances stood out as something extra special too, with the Czech rider routinely carving out his own postcode in the lead. The second half of the season has seen Lorenz Luciano and Rossi Moor fight back in the standings, but Gurecky kept calm and carried on to take the Cup in the penultimate race of the season with 49 points in hand. Women's European SS 300 Cup: Beatriz Neila Santos confirms the title Thrilling fight for the season finale of the Women's European SS 300 Cup at Mugello Circuit, in Tuscany, Italy. The title has been a Spanish matter with Beatriz Neila Santos and Sara Sanchez fighting to the last. Thanks to an advantage of 7 points and the second position in race, Santos managed to get the title for the second time in a row after the one conquered last season. Even if Sanchez won the race, 25 points and 1 point for the best lap were not enough to become the new champion. Polewoman Roberta Ponziani had a key role with a crash in the middle of the race. Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance European Cup: double round in Italy Third round for the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance European Cup at Autodromo dell’Umbria, Magione, Italy. Each bike is shared by a team of two riders, who started the race with a Le Mans procedure: the riders must change every 15 minutes and the rules are like an endurance race. European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship: final in Latvia Final round for the European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship in Daugavpils, Latvia. Even if the heavy rain of the previous days, the meeting ran well with the postponement of the practice in the afternoon. FIM Europe meets FIM Oceania On 24th and 25th August at the FIM Europe General Secretariat in Fiumicino (ROME), a meeting on administrative and sporting issues was held between the Secretaries General of FIM Europe and FIM Oceania. The relations between the administrations of the two CONUs have been strong for some time, with frequent contacts and interactions especially on licencing, insurance and sporting matters. In fact, there are many cases of participation in the European Championships of riders coming from other CONUs, mainly from Australia. CEV Repsol: Moto2 and HETC at Jerez Moto2 European Championship Fermin Aldeguer came into race 1 of the Moto2™ ECh with 44 points advantage. To win the championship he needed a 50 or more-point advantage at the end of the race, but with Aldeguer taking another win and Alonso Lopez taking another second, it left the 16-year-old with just a 49 point advantage, meaning the title would roll on to race 2. Taking third place was ‘best of the rest’ Lukas Tulovic (Liqui Moly SIC Intact Racing Team) once again. After a brief battle with Xavier Cardelus (Promoracing), Tulovic dug deep and pulled out a great performance to beat him to the flag.
