Cancellation of the Motocross of European Nations The FIM Europe, together with Infront Moto Racing, regret to inform that the Motocross of European Nations is officially cancelled. The event was supposed to take place on the 15th of October as effort will now be put towards next year to find the perfect venue to celebrate this great event. Antonio Lindbaeck from Sweden fought for a spot in the SEC Challenge in Hungary and competed in additional races. In the end, he lost the competition to Andreas Lyager, but fans of this fierce rider can rest assured. The bronze medalist of SEC in the 2015 season will join the lineup of TAURON SEC 2023. In Częstochowa, Guestrow, Bydgoszcz, and Pardubice, we will also see Andzejs Lebedevs from Latvia. The 2017 European champion needs no special introduction. European Handy Bridgestone Cup: round 2 in Italy Second round of the European Handy Bridgestone Cup. A thrilling race weekend at the Vallelunga Circuit in Italy in tough weather conditions on Saturday. Race 1 took place in pouring rain, with six riders who crashed fortunately without consequences. It was a race full of emotions thanks to the duel between Lorenzo Picasso and Alex Innocenti, fighting for victory. The challenge ended three corners to the end with Innocenti’s crash after leading three quarters of the race. Northern Talent Cup: Sessler and Phommara victorious in Sanchsenring The Northern Talent Cup was back in action last weekend for the second round of the season at Sachsenring, Germany. Race 1 Rocco Sessler (MCA Racing) stunned the field with a superb ride in Race 1, continuing his incredible progression as both rider and Championship challenger. Starting the last lap in fourth position he timed his bid for victory to perfection, overcoming Championship leader Lenoxx Phommara (Team Phommara), Italian wonderboy Matteo Masili (Fairium Next Generation Riders Team) and teammate Julius Frellsen (MCA Racing) to take what was a victory to savour, all done with pride on home soil. Pictures copyright: Darius Zvinklys After 4 years without any international competitions the Motoball Club of Kretinga, in Lithuania, welcomed more than 7.000 visitors for the first round of the European Motoball Champions Cup. Fast games, technical finesse and hard, but fair fights, and a lot of goals: this is exactly what the Motoball Commission was expecting from this new format. Day 1 Troyes – Kuppenheim, 3 : 4 In the first match the French champion Suma Troyes met with the German champion Puma Kuppenheim. After a tight game the German team won with 3:4. Both teams were not able to arrive with the complete line up due to different reason, but it was Motoball on the highest level. EMX 65 / EMX 85 and EMX Women' European Championship The EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship – North Europe zone and EMX Women' European Championship were back in action in Olecko, in north-eastern Poland, for their second and third round. In EMX65 ruled the Estonian riders. Overall win for Theo Lolts (GasGas) thanks to a double second position. 22 + 22 points were enough for him to grab the first step of the podium ahead of Gregor Lootus (KTM) and Robin Robert Mooses (Husqvarna), who both took a win and a third place. In EMX85 another amazing triumph for Estonian rider Travis Leok (Husqvarna), who took the first step of the overall podium with a majestic double win. SSP 300 Women's European Championship: double win for Santos The action got underway at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain, where the SSP 300 Women's European Championship raced round two together with ESBK. Race 1 On her home track Beatriz Neila Santos won taking advantage of Roberta Ponziani's crash. Natalia Rivera took the first podium finishing second ahead of Aurelia Cruciani. Enduro European Championship: Matej Skuta claimed double overall victory in Portuguese round The second round of the Enduro European Championship was hosted in Santa Marta de Penaguiao, Portugal. Day1 Matej Skuta topped in all the three special tests: after the missing victory in Fabriano, the Czechoslovak rider managed to end the day with the best time ever. Second step of the podium for the French rider Diego Haution, who managed to maintain a good pace in all the special tests. David Abgrall, former European Champion, managed to finish third overall despite a small crash in the second lap. Individual Speedway Euro Championship: Berge wins SEC challenge In Nagyhalasz, Hungary, we finally met the next five participants of the SEC - Individual Speedway Euro Championship. Dimitri Berge, Kacper Woryna, Jan Kvech, Grzegorz Zengota and Andreas Lyager advanced to the series and will fight for the title of Individual European Champion. The Frenchman sealed his promotion already in the fourth series, when he reached the finish line first for the fourth consecutive time and got 12 points. He recorded his first defeat only in race 19, in which he was third. Promotion to the TAURON SEC series was won by two representatives of Poland - Kacper Woryna and Grzegorz Zengota. Both scored 10 points each, and their promotion means that we will see at least five Poles in the fight for the title of Individual European Champion.
