149 riders registered to the 2nd round of the Enduro EC in Estonia

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July will be held in Paikuse (Estonia) the second round of the Enduro European Championship. At the moment 149 riders are registered coming from 17 different countries. Again a large participation as a demonstration of the importance and success of this championship. 3rd Semi-Final of Individual Speedway Junior EC

The third Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway Junior European Championship was held on Saturday the 7th of July in the Danish track of Holsted. The winner was Polish Zmarzlik Bartosz, in second position Polish Sowka Lukasz and third position Danish Porsing Nicklas. Third round of Dragbike European Championship in Tierp

The third round of the Dragbike European Championship was held from the 5th to the 8th of July in Tierp (Sweden). A good weekend of racing up until Sunday evening when heavy rain hit the track forcing the organizers to cancel the event. All UEM Drag Bike classes competed up to the semi-final stage. In the Top Fuel Bike class, victory went to Finnish Kai Selamaa (Puma Yamaha), in the Super Twing class to Finnish Petri Mattson (V60) and in the Pro Stock Bike to the Finnish Fredrik Fredlund (Suzuki). Fredlund set a new European Elapsed Time Record of 7.074 seconds. Next round of the Dragbike European Championship will be held from the 10th to the 12th of August in Hockenheim (Germany). Warnia confirms his strength at the MAXXIS EMX Quad round in Genk

The fourth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad European Championship was run this weekend in Genk (Italy). Difficult weather conditions with heavy rain in the night from Saturday to Sunday caused difficult conditions on the track and in the paddock The French Jeremie Warnia (Can-Am) confirmed again his domination of the championship winning both heats. He now lead the provisional rankings with 190 points, 54 points ahead of British Paul Holmes (Yamaha). In race 1 Warnia was followed by Dutch rider Joe Maessen (Suzuki) and German Stefan Schreiver (KTM). In race 2, second position went to Schreiber and third to Latvian Karlis Meldrajs (KTM). 3rd round of South-Western Europe EMX65 & EMX85

The 3rd round of the South Western Europe zone of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championship events was held this weekend in little San Marino Republic under very hot weather conditions (38°C on Sunday). The circuit, very well prepared and watered. In the EMX65 class the first heat was won by Slovenian rider Luca Milec (KTM), followed by Austrian Rene Hofer (KTM) and Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM). Facca won the second heat in front of Hofer and Milec. In the EMX85 class close battle throughout the race among the top three riders in the standings. The first heat was won by French David Herbreteau (Kawasaki) in front of italian Filippo Zonta (KTM) and Italian Tomas Ragadini (KTM). Results of the SE EMX 65cc & 85cc held in Haskovo

The fourth round of the South-Eastern EMX 65 and 85cc Motocross European Championship was held in Haskovo (Bulgaria). In the EMX65 class, domination of the Bulgarian rider Hakan Halmi, who won both heats. In the first heat second position went to Bulgarian Julian Georgiev and third position to Croatian Nikola Hranic ov. In the second heat, second position went to Croatian Nikola Hranic and third position to Bulgarian Momchil Ivanov. The riders in EMX85 Class made a great show for the spectators . The first heat was won by Bulgarian Michael Ivanov, followed by Bulgarian Ivan Petrov and Croatian Matija Kelava. In the second heat, Petrov took revenge winning the heat in front of Ivanov and Kelava. In the provisional rankings, leadership of Moldavian Igor Cuharcius with 174 points in the EMX65 class and of Bulgarian Michael Ivanov with 187 points in the EMX85 class. Third round of Supermoto S2 EC in Rijeka

The Automotodrom Grobnik in Rijeka (Croatia) hosted the fourth round of the 2012 UEM Supermoto European Championship with 28 riders competing in class S2. The Championship leader Petr Vorlicek (Suzuki) from Czech Republic was the winner of the heat one on the new venue of the supermoto european championship races. He dominated also in the practice. In the first heat he was closely followed by Austrian rider Lukas Höllbacher, difference was one second and a half. On the third spot Dutch rider Devon Vermeulen finished. In heat two no changes in the first place. Vorlicek was leading from the start and finished with gap of over 5 seconds infront of Finn Sami Salstoa in second place. Third was Höllbacher. Second round of UEM Trial EC in Santo Stefano d’Aveto

A superlative Matteo Grattarola (Gas Gas) dominated the second round of the UEM Trials Championship held at Santo Stefano d’Aveto, on the mountains behind Genova (Italy). Grattarola gained soon a smooth lead on country mate Daniele Maurino (Ossa) in the first loop, scoring 6 points against 8. The twos even improved their already low scores in the second loop, finishing the competition as a photocopy of the first round, contested three months ago. Grattarola first, Maurino second. In the third step of podium Spanish Francesc Moret (Montesa). Great hit for Italian Francesco Cabrini (Beta) in the Junior class. He won and in the standings he overtook the precedent leader, French Steven Coquelin (Gas Gas), today only in third, behind Spanish Oriol Noghera. Introduction to the 2nd round of the UEM Trial Championship

After nearly three months, the UEM Trial Championship is again on the run in the only week-end of this season where the attentions are shared with the FIM World Championship. The venue is Santo Stefano d’Aveto, on the mountains behind Genova, organised by the Moto Club Della Superba. The European riders will be on the scene on Saturday 7th for the second of six rounds, as scheduled in the series. In the top class, two Italian riders are occupying the provisional first two places: Matteo Grattarola (Gas Gas) and, behind him, Daniele Maurino (Ossa). At the moment, Grattarola is in great form, coming from two excellent performances. The victory in the Indoor held on Wednesday and a second place behind Raga at the Assoluti d’Italia disputed last Sunday. The Italian rider, if motivated like he is in this championship where he is fighting again for the crown, can be unbeatable.

Introduction to the Enduro EC round in Estonia

All quiet before the storm. After the first round in Arsie (Italy) follows a two month break before the next round on 21/22 July takes place in Pairkuse (Estonia). For the first time the Enduro European Championship is visiting the most northern country of the Baltic States, where as to now only Motocross is highly recognized. Despite this fact, riders from Estonia have been showing up in the present standings, like veteran Toivo Nikopensius, Tonu Kallast in the seniors and not forgetting Martin Leok, who at the moment stands in third place in the E2/E3 juniors. The next round will follow a week later (28/29 July) still in a Baltic, only 200 km away, in Ogre near Riga (Latvia). The proximity will make it easier and cost effective for riders to travel from one country to another. But before Leok, Nikopensius and their countrymen can take advantage of home turf,
