European Supermoto – 1st round in Spain Marc Reiner Schmidt is the fastest in qualifying

  After a long winter, the season of S2 European  Supermoto Championship burst back into life today, at the home of motorcycling at Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain.Blue sky and perfect temperatures greeted the riders, teams and Supermoto fans from all over the world. In the two free practice sessions, the early pace-setter was Marc Reiner Schmidt (Degasoline TM), the German rider (in the photo) topping the timing sheets in both sessions with Mattia Martella (MTR KTM) placing second both times. Towards the end of free practice Toni Klem (TM Racing) of Finland who was third in the 2014 S2 European Championship, steadily improved to 3rd and was looking to spring a surprise in Timed Training later in the afternoon.Marc Reiner Schmidt had a perfect day on Saturday as he was fastest in sessions on track, including the timed practice and will start from pole for the first

Green Education Strategy by FIM Europe Environment Commission

On March 22nd in Warsaw, Poland, during FIM CIE Seminar, the Green Education Strategy was presented. Mr. Peter Gregory from FIM and Environmental Stewards from 12 FIM Europe Federations were present. The Green Education Strategy is a project that includes several activities:  online check-list, brand­book and Facebook page. The intention of the Commission is to educate, promote, advise Environmental Stewards, Organizers and Federations. The brandbook will be available on the website of FIM Europe. All environmental matters, including Manuals and Rules for Environmental Stewards, can be found in FIM Europe website, in the “Social” area, at this link: www.fim-europe.com/index.php/social/environmentFIM Europe Environment Commission launched online-check list system, which will be tested during 2015 season. Individual Speedway European Championship and European Pairs Speedway Championship Calendar New Update

The European Track Racing Championship Calendar has been updated.After the cancellation of the events of 15-16th May and of 24-25th April hosted by Ucraine Motorcycling Federation, the events have been re-scheduled as follows: - the round of Individual Speedway European Championship scheduled at Rivne on 15-16 May 2015 will be held at Daugavpils (Latvia);- the venue of the third round of Speedway European Championships will be Kumla (Sweden);- the round of European Pairs Speedway Championship scheduled in Chervonograd 24-25 April 2015 will be held in Gustrow (Germany) on 4th July 2015.The updated calendars has now been changed to the following:Individual Speedway EC European Pairs Speedway EC

European Motocross Championship Official entries prelude to extraordinary season

With the entries for the European Championship EMX250 and EMX125 round of Pietramurata, Italy now officially closed, Youthstream, the promoter of the European Series, has just announced that both classes are full. With a 100-rider limit, the EMX250 class has exceeded this number. All riders entered after the 100th entry was accepted will be reserve riders. Should one of the first 100 entries withdraw for any reason, the reserve riders will then automatically be entered. Meanwhile the EMX125 has impressively received 95 entries, which along with the maxed out EMX250 class and extraordinary depth of talent in both classes, only attests that the European Championship is the ultimate development series for any aspiring professional motocross rider.Full grid also for the Honda EMX 150 class, which will take its start in Pietramurata, too, but the entry list will be defined by Honda in the next days. ­ These results confirm the

European Snowcross Championship: the Final in Russia

The fourth and last round of European Snowcross Championship was held today in Demino, Russia, with two final heats which were broadcast in live-streaming.   After the double win of Saturday’s races, Russian rider Dmitry Sklyarov did not manage to repeat his successful series in today’s round. In the first heat Denis Ryazantcev, from Russia, gained the leadership from the start, and held it for the first 12 minutes, but then he was passed by Estonian Kaur Tiisler who won the race. Dmitry Sklyarov finished in third position after 15 minutes +1 lap. In the second race (which was also the last of the European Championship) Estonian Kaur Tiisler took a good start. In the 6th lap he crashed and and lost several positions, but today he was the fastest rider on track and at the end he managed to gain again the front of the race. He won the

FIM Europe 2nd Workshop on Weight Training in Graz

On 21st and 22nd March the 2nd Workshop on Weight Training organised in collaboration with the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) was held at the Hotel Paradies - Graz (AUT). Even in this second Workshop the 12 Trainers, coming from 7 Countries (Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Sweden), had at their disposal the experience of the Irish presenter Colin Buckley, EWF Executive Board Member in charge of the European Coaching Framework. Not only theoretical information, concerning mainly postural analysis, functional movements, anatomical adaptations, overreaching and overtraining, but also group work focused on particular aspects as designing a warm-up program to be used before the race and how to design sample gym programs. At the end of the Workshop was discussed with the Teacher and with the Trainers the project to the study of FIM Europe to create a European Register of Trainers that, once approved and once found the resources,

European Snowcross Championship First day of races in Demino

The third round of European Snowcross Championship has started in Demino, Russia. With good snow conditions, the first day of race, on Saturday, offered great show and an unexpected winner: the Russian rider Dmitry Sklyarov, who had not taken part to the first two events of the Championship in Norway.   As for the first day of races, also today the third round of the European Series will be broadcast live on Russian Television.     The third round of European Snowcross Championship will be held this weekend in Demino, Russia. Weather forecast is good for the races, and today it was fine, too, with good snow conditions during the Circuit Control. The beautiful track on the banks of river Volga will host the third round of the European Series, which will be broadcast live on Russian Television. The races can be followed in live-streaming, too, at the website HDextreme.ru according to the schedule of the day. Qualifying practice will start at 12.00 and the last heat is supposed to end at 15.30, both on Saturday and Sunday.After the second round, Finnish Eetu Karjalainen leads the European Championship.
