European Junior Cup at Jerez (Spain)

The start of the race in Jerez (Spain) Javier Orellana finally got his hands on the 2015 Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda, in round seven at Jerez in Spain this afternoon, as fellow Honda CBR650F competitor Avalon Biddle became the very first FIM Europe Women’s European Champion. The original 10-lap race at the 4,423 km Jerez circuit was stopped on lap six after a last corner crash with local wildcard rider Xavi Pinsach leading the way. Pinsach completed victory in the five-lap re-start in which Orellana finished in third place behind Italian Pusceddu.The 18-year-old Spaniard had been denied the championship after being taken out of the lead with just three corners remaining in the last round at Misano in Italy, but that disappointment was made up for today as he climbed the EJC podium for the sixth time in seven races. European Superstock 600 at Jerez (Spain)

The circuit of Jerez (Spain) hosted the penultimate race of the European 600 Superstock Championship.With newly crowned Champion Toprak Razgalioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) withdrawing after Free Practice at Jerez, the way was clear for a new name to challenge for victory. Starting from pole position, Michael Ruben Rinaldi (San Carlo Team Italia) hit the front leading every lap, eventually converting his number one spot in qualifying to a maiden victory by 1.571s after 13 intense laps.Second position went to Augusto Fernandez (Pata Honda Junior Team) who notched up his first podium finish, the reigning EJC champion coming home a lonely 2nd after a controlled and mature race from the Spanish teenager.The main action on track was all about the final spot on the podium as a group of 5 fought from lights to flag with 3rd eventually going to Davide Stirpe (Scuderia Maranga Racing) just ahead of Andrea Tucci (San Carlo Team

Speedway European Championship in Ostrow (Poland)

Photo: Pabijan   The last round of the Speedway European Championship was held today in Ostrow Wielkopolski, in Poland. A crowd of 10.600 spectators from all over Europe watched 22 spectacular races and a really close finish. Emil Sayfudtinov from Russia was crowned European Champion after heat 16. The winner of today Nicki Pedersen from Denmark showed a constant performance during tonight’s races. The rostum today was completed by Janusz Kolodziej from Poland and Antonio Lindbaeck from Sweden. Overall winner Emil Sayfudtinov was crowned as European Champion for the second time in a row. Runner up is Nicki Pedersen from Denmark, while in third position there is Antonio Lindbaeck from Sweden. Qualified for the next year’s series are the first three riders in the Overall

European Team Speedway Under 21 Championship in Plzen (Czech Republic)

The circuit of Plzen, in Czech Republic, hosted the final of the European Team Speedway Under 21 Championship. As the race progressed, the track conditions became more and more difficult and the spectators who came to Plzen stadium had the chance to attend a spectacular event, with the best young Speedway riders in Europe. The Team Speedway Under 21 European Champion of 2015 is the Polish team. European Vintage Trial Cup in Folgaria (Italy)

It was the only venue of the season, so the winners of the various classes are the new European Champions. European Drag Bike Final at Santa Pod (England)

Ian King @Sanson & Hughes The weekend saw the closing round of the FIM Europe Drag Bike Championship at Santa Pod Raceway, England. FIM Europe Top Fuel Bike attracted eleven entries, with multi-time series champion Ian King qualifying in the number one spot and the quickest run of the event with a 5.9000s/242.77 mph run, with the home rider then progressing to reset the terminal speed record at 236.21 mph (as a consequence of the latter being over the previous record but not being within one percent of the faster time). King progressed to the final where he would meet incoming points leader Rikard Gustafsson with the winner determining the outcome of the championship. Gustafsson left the line first onboard his Suzuki Funnybike, but within a couple of hundred feet the power of King’s nitromethane supercharged Gulf Oil/Grand Prix Originals Puma Yamaha drove him past to take the event trophy

European Motocross Open Championship in Sentvid (Slovenia) - Day 2

In MX2 red plate holder and local hero Tim Gajser won after holeshot at start in front of a great number of spectators. At his shoulders, there was a strong battle among top 4 riders: Bartos, Michalec, Michek and Tyletski, who where reached by Molnar. After half race Bartos made a mistake and fell back to 10th position. He will finish in 8th. At the same time the other Czech rider Michek finished second before local Molnar, Belarusian Tyletski and Czech Michalec. After this result, at the start of the last heat, the championship had a new leader: Michek, 3 points ahead of Bartos. FIM Europe at International Six Days of Enduro 2015 in Kosice (Slovakia)

The 90th edition of the International Six Days of Enduro 2015 (ISDE) has been opened officially with a presentation of the teams in the center of Kosice (eastern Slovakia). From 7th to 12th of September close to 500 riders from 32 Federations will compete in the longest standing and most traditional team event of Enduro. Earlier in the afternoon the representatives from the teams, as well as FIM President Vito Ippolito, FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb and SMF President Peter Smižik were invited by the mayor of Kosice Richard Raši to the townhall for an official reception.“Team events are the most special competitions. European Moto2 and Superbike in Albacete (Spain) - Day 2

The start of Moto2 Overcast skies and the constant threat of rain at Albacete in the fifth round of the season failed to curb the enthusiasm of fourteen thousand fans or the determination of the riders who were the real protagonists today. With the track still damp after overnight rain but gradually drying out, winners Vierge in the Moto2 European Championship and Silva and Morales in the Superbike European Championship were all forced to ride rather cautiously. In the Moto2 European Championship race, Xavi Vierge (SPA-Tech 3) and Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex) pulled away from the off, staying together right to the end of the race, with Vierge leading and Pons close behind looking for an opening which he eventually took with five laps to go.
