European Cross Country Cup at Skýcov (Slovakia)

In the last weekend, the second round of the European Cross Country Cup was held at Skýcov, in Slovakia. The track is very rugged and includes all the technical features that the country cross track should contain. The start was placed on the motocross section where the riders take a few jumps, and uphill or downhill runs are not missing. It was quite muddy, due to Friday’s rain, so it was very important to choose the right track. Štefan Svitko from Slovakia, who dominated the two days, was the absolute winner of the race in Skýcov. He won also the Senior European Cup class, In the Junior class the winner was Patrik Halgaš, from Slovakia, too. In the Women class the winner was Gabika Čipková and in the European Cup Quad class the fastest was Juraj Gejdoš, all from Slovakia. Tout Terrain European Cup in Greece

The second round of the Tout Terrain European Cup was held in Greece. In the context of the Hellas Rally, which sees 285 entries, 46 riders took part to the European Cup. The event started on Monday 21st finished on Sunday 27th. After the first 5 days, French Loic Minaudier was the leader of the overall, ahead of Italian Jacopo Cerutti and Spanish Dani Oliveiras. Day 6 Italian Andrea Mancini snatched the first position at the end of the day. Second position in the absolute standing of French Sebastien Souday, winner of Quad category, who has been bettering every day and who was particularly performing on Day 6’s fast routes. The second position in the Bikes was for Italian Jacopo Cerutti, who has so far won 2 wins and 3 second places and is and 5th in the overall category. European Hill Climb Championship at Spoleto (Italy)

In the beautiful surroundings of Spoleto (Italy) the second round of European Hill Climb Championship was held ahead of 600 spectators. The whole event was in a very friendly "Italian lifestyle" atmosphere, together with the FMI National Championship. The riders taking part to the European series were 23. The free practices were held on Friday without any serious problems as well as the official practices and qualications on Saturday and today. The races took place in two heats for all riders under good weather conditions for the first race while it was wet for the second race. The winners of the day in the European Championship Classes are: Class 250 GP - Guido Testoni (FMI); Class Supersport 600: Davide Lignite (FMI); Class Superbike 1200: Jean Luc David (FFM); Class Supermoto: Philippe Bongard (FMS). European Trial Women and Youth at Krzeszowice (Poland) – Day 2

Spanish Martin Riobo (Gas Gas, photo 1)) and German Theresa Bauml (Montesa, photo 2) were back on top in the third round of the FIM Europe Youth and Women championship, disputed for the second consecutive day in Miekinia, 4 km from Krzeszowice, Poland. The circuit was the same as the day before, with 14 sections slightly simplified in each of the two loops. Still nice weather and high temperatures. This was the time to take a revenge for those riders who did not match the expectations the day before. And a brilliant reaction came curiously in both the main classes. The two-times European champion Theresa Bauml had not yet climbed the highest step of podium, which happened today. European Supersport Cup 300 at Poznan (Poland) – Day 2

Also on Sunday the Polish track welcomed the riders with sunny weather and 28 degrees. From the beginning to the end three riders battled for the victory. The first two ended the race with a difference of only 0,003 sec at the finish line, with Simon Lukas from Czech Republic (photo1) winning ahead of Taric van der Merwe from South Africa (photo2). EMX Quad European Championship at Cieszyn (Poland)

The city of Cieszyn, in the beautiful county of Silesia, in Poland, hosted the fourth round of the EMX Quad European Championship, with the best riders of the Continental series at the start. The panoramic view of the motocross track attracted more than 4000 spectators in the whole weekend. On Saturday practice and qualifying race took place in good conditions and sunny weather. Second position for Estonian rider Kevin Saar ahead of Harry Walker from Great Britain. The surface of the track on Sunday was prepared by the CKM Club Team Members and was good after track maintenance and evening watering. European Trial Women and Youth at Krzeszowice (Poland) – Day 1

Another triumph for Spanish riders in the second round of the FIM Europe Youth and Women championship, held near Krzeszowice, in Poland. Berta Abellan (Vertigo, photo1) doubled the initial success at the first round in the Women class, while Pol Medinya (Beta, photo2) found his first win in the Youth class, after a convincing fourth place in the previous round. Fine weather in the small area of Miekinia, 4 km from the main town where 14 long sections to be repeated twice were fitted for the entering 54 riders.         Berta Abellan started her race with a high concentration and discouraged her rivals delivering her first card at the end of the first loop with only 5 mistakes. All expected a sort of reaction from the two-times European champion Theresa Bauml (Montesa) but she was not at her ease neither in this second round for the 2018

EMX65 and EMX 85 Championship SW Zone at Fernao Joanes (Portugal) – Day1

The fourth and last round of EMX SW Zone EMX65/85 European Championship started in cloudy, windy weather at Fernao Joanes with 52 riders: 28 in class EMX 65 and 24 in EMX 85. The weather condition in the morning and all day was windy and cloudy. For qualification races it was sunny. The track was really well prepared. Qualification race winner of class EMX 65 was Spanish rider Francisco Garcia, 10,69 sec ahead of Italian Patrick Busatto and 13,55 sec ahead of French rider Jules Pietre. The first lap in class EMX 85 was lead by Pablo Gutierrez Solis, but in few laps Spanish Raul Sanchez Garcia took the first position and won the qualification race. Second position for Italian Matteo Luigi Russi, 3,69 sec ahead of French Saad Soulimani, 14,83sec behind the leader.

European Supersport Cup 300 at Poznan (Poland) – Day 1

Today the qualifying practice and Race 1 of European Supersport Cup 300 were held at Poznan, in Poland, in the context of the second event of the Alpe Adria International Championship at TOR Poznan. On Friday the two free practices for European Supersport 300 Cup were held under good weather conditions. Today the qualifying practice ended up with the pole of Balint Gyor from Hungary. Second place for Taric Van Der Merwe from South Africa and Simon Lukas. The race ended after a very close struggle between Van Der Merwe and Lukas, who passed below the checkered flag with a gap of 0,3 seconds after 11 laps. Third place for Lennart Ulbel. Race 2 tomorrow can be followed live on the website www.lutecracing.com, where live timing is also available.
