European Supermoto at Sestriere (Italy) - Day 2

Sestriere hosted the final races of the 2018 Supermoto European Championship. Thanks also to sunny weather conditions arrived early at race track to find a perfect spot in the hills with its spectacular views over the races. In the S1 class the overall victory went to Phoenix Racing rider Markus Class, while TM Factory rider Thomas Chareyre gained the 2018 title in the Supermoto European Championship. The victory in the S1 Lites class went to Gazza Racing rider Emerick Bunod while the title was taken by Phoenix Racing rider Elia Sammartin from Italy. Race1 The first race in Sestriere started with 23 riders. At the start it was runner up in the Championship TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre to take the hole-shot into the fast first left corner of the circuit followed by Markus Class, SWM Factory rider Mauno Hermunen and the teammate of Class Nicolas Cousin. European Dragracing Final at Santa Pod (Great Britain)

Santa Pod Racers Club along with Santa Pod managed, as usual, to organize a European Championship final in a brilliant way. Despite the bad weather conditions, the race could be done, ahead around 25-30.000 spectators. First ever winner in Junior Dragbike FIM European Cup was a girl racing for England but living in the Netherlands: Maggie Talbot (photo1). Maurice Bertrand (photo3) become the first French winner in Pro Stock Bike. The event was attended by FIM Europe 1st Deputy President Martin de Graaff. «The Drag Racing Final in Santa Pod was well organised and it was a very successful event, with a lot of spectators in both days. European Supermoto at Sestriere (Italy) - Day1

The last race of the 2018 Supermoto European Championship started today at Sestriere, in the region of Piemonte, in the heart of the Italian Alps. In the centre of the town a temporary race track was especially build for this event. The race track in the mountains has some fast straights and corners combined with very tight chicanes and fast off-road sections. Due to the fantastic scenery and the good and sunny weather conditions, lots of spectators found their way to Sestriere. Today the free practices and time practice were held in Italy. Phoenix Racing rider Markus Class took the pole position in Italy. With a lot of riders close to each other the races of tomorrow will be full of action. The European Rally Tout Terrain Cup started at Brasov Vama Veche (Romania). Prologue The fastest of the 14 racers was Italian Emilio Procaccini ahead of Sebastien Souday, French quad rider (photo2. The 2nd motorcycle rider was Andrea Mancini, ahead of French Loic Minaudier (photo1). Day1 The day foresaw two SS of 142 and 60 kms and a 160 km liason, without service. The fastest rider was Loic Minaudier. Second position in the overall category for French Sebastian Souday with his quad. European Supersport Cup at Red Bull Ring, Spielberg (Austria)

The fifth and penultimate round of European Supersport Cup was held at Red Bull Ring, Spielberg (Austria), in wet weather. The qualifying practice was held in in the rain and saw Samuel Lochoff sign the fastest laptime. In Race1 the riders were around 2 seconds faster than in qualifying. Good start on the wet in Race1 for Alexandra Pelikanova from Czech Republic from the third place on the starting grid - she fought with the European classification leaders: Samuel Lochoff and Taric van den Merwe from RSA. She also managed to lead the race for a while but in the end she finished second behind Sanuel Lochoff and ahead of Taric Van der Merwe. European Pairs Speedway Championship at Brovst (Denmark)

The European Pairs Speedway Championship Final decided for the winner of the European Championship during the last heat at Brovst, in Denmark. The meeting was well organized, in ideal weather conditions. Tobiasz Musielak and Grzegorz Zengota won the home pair 5:1 and for Poland was the seventh win of the European title in history. This pair won last year too, and in 2018 the team was supported by third rider Jakub Jamrog, too. Denmark, led by the home legend Hans Nielsen, finished second. Denmark was represented by Michael Jepsen Jensen, Anders Thomsen and Thomas Jorgensen. Italy gained the third place with only two riders Nicolas Covatti and Paco Castagna. European U21 Team Speedway at Daugavpils (Latvia)

In a dry, sunny weather in front of 2.000 home fans cheering for their national team, 4 junior teams provided excellent racing at Daugavpils, in Latvia. The first two teams put up exciting racing on the track for the top podium place till the last heat. The Danish team produced great riding up to the end and deserved the first European U21 team title in their history. Second position for Poland ahead of Latvia.

The first overall winners have been crowned at the 2018 Sevlievo stop. The European Motocross Championship classes of EMX300 presented by FMF Racing and EMX250 finished their Bulgarian weekend this morning with Verde Substance KTM’s Brad Anderson taking the overall victory but the biggest news was the Overall win of Honda RedMoto Assomotor’s Mathys Boisrame which crowns the Frenchman 2018 EMX250 Champion (photo 2). Steep hillsides and challenging track conditions put the riders in a battle for position, championship points, and traction. The beautiful track and surrounding nature hosted thousands of fans as they watched some of the best riders fight in what was the penultimate round in both of the European Championships. EMX250 Race 1 was the last event on track Saturday and followed the two Qualifying races of MXGP and MX2. The track was much changed with new lines since the morning practice sessions.
