Sidecarcross and Quadcross of European Nations Day 1 at Slagelse (Denmark)

Quads - 20 Quad teams were present with teams from 17 European countries plus a team from Argentina, Canada and the USA producing some exiting and interesting racing. With the weather varying between clouds, sunshine and some showers of rain, team USA produced the perfect result with a win in the first race by Thomas Brown and again a win in the 3rd race by Chad Wienen and still had the luxury of a second position in race 2 by Jeffrey Rastrelli which the team did not need because it is the best two results that count for the overall team placings. The Netherlands finished second overall on 5 points with Joe Maessen finishing third in race 2 and Mike Van Grinsven second in race 3. In conjunction with FIM, the following balancing regulations have been updated and will be applied from and including Round 6 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (D) for European Supersport 300 Cup and Class Alpe Adria Supersport 300: Yamaha YZF-R3A (2018 Year Model, Euro 4) can use the inlet camshaft and cam sprocket of the Yamaha YZF-R3 (pre 2018 Year Models, Euro 3). Part numbers: • Intake camshaft: 2MS-E2170-01 • Cam sprocket: 1WD-E2176-00 No other parts can be exchanged between the different homologations of the Yamaha YZF-R3 and YZF-R3A.

Individual Speedway Euro Championship at Chorzow (Poland)

Over 32.000 spectators watched an exciting meeting in the historical place of Chorzow. Despite the rain of the day before the track was in very good condition. ONE Sport and the Track staff prepared the event and the track in the best way. Leon Madsen from Denmark won all his heats and after heat 16 he was crowned European Champion 2018. For the second and third overall place it was close fight the final heat and Jaroslaw Hampel from Poland got the title of European Vice-Champion. Newcomer Robert Lambert from England claimed in third position overall. There were some good racing actions during the whole night and Michael Mikkelsen from Denmark took the overall fourth position in the standings. He showed some good overtakings during his heats. Antonio Lindbäck from Sweden is the fifth rider to stay in next year’s European Championship series.

The 2018 Under 21 Final brought together European brightest young speedway talents. 9 nations were represented in a strong, competitive field of riders. A pleasant late Summer day gave the organisers no problems with the track preparation, a small rain shower in the early evening and later in the meeting only helped track preparation. A good racing surface was provided for the competitors, and a healthy crowd watched some spectacular entertainment. Local interest was maintained by sole German representative Lukas Fienhage. Lukas put in some strong challenges and delighted the home crowd with a race win in heat 7. Danish rider Patrick Hansen was subject to a heavy fall in heat 10. He was transferred to hospital. Enduro European Championship at Kielce (Poland)

DAY 1 - Kawasaki rider Alessandro Battig (photo1) from Italy won the title in his class on the first day of the European Enduro Championship final in Kielce, Poland. With a further day victory in the class of the four-stroke machines over 250 cc, he was able to extend his lead up to the mathematical certainty of the title. In the remaining two days of competition he would concentrate on winning the title in the overall standings in addition. There, too, the Italian is in the lead of the European Championship and with his second place in the overall standings on Friday, he has come a little closer to this goal. Although he was beaten by his compatriot, junior Lorenzo Macoritto, he was able to leave behind his direct rivals in the championship, such as the Frenchman Hugo Blanjoue who only finished third. FIM Europe Management Council at Chorzów (Poland)

Today the 2nd Management Council of the new mandate has taken place at the Hotel Diament at Chorzów, Poland, thanks to the perfect organisation granted by the Polish Federation (PZM). Enduro European Championship at Kielce (Poland) – Preview

The final of the European Enduro Championship will take place at Kielce, in Poland from 14th to 16th of September. It will be a 3-days event, with 2 days of classic enduro and 1 day of final-motocross. The first two days will be on a 50 km long circuit, which has to be ridden four times and includes a motocross test and an enduro test every lap. The motocross on the last day takes place about 25 kms away from the Parc Fermé. In Kielce enduro events were organised for many years and the European Championship 2011 was last hosted by the city in South-Eastern Poland. It is also the home-track for the KTM Novi Corona Kielce team. The Parc Fermé is located on the Southern outskirts of the city, near the athletics stadium and the sports hall (Leszka Drogosza 1, 25-093 Kielce). More than 150 riders submitted their entries

The 2018 Motocross of European Nations is complete from the Gdansk circuit of Poland. Taking the win in impressive fashion is Team Italy in both the men’s and women’s racing! A handful of races took place on the Polish soil today starting with Race 1 of the Women’s Motocross of European Nations and ending with the second race of 250 and 125 group with 4 others in between. The action filled day was also full sunshine, bar banging battles, and intense racing.
