The second round of the EMX125cc 2stroke and the first round of the EMX250 Motocross European Championship were held this weekend in Agueda (Portugal). The EMX125 saw Henry Jacobi fastest off the gate, claiming the lead on the opening lap. The victory went to Latvian rider Pauls Jonass (KTM), in front of German Henry Jacobi (KTM) and third position to French Nicolad Dercourt (Yamaha). In the provisional rankings Jonass is the leader with 75 points in front of Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen. In the new race format of the EMX250cc class, in the early stages of the race it was Damon Graulus who took the all important holeshot and led the opening lap followed by a charging series of riders in the form of Tim Gajser, Valentin Guillod, Jeremy Seewer, Ceriel Klein Kromhof and Micha-Boy De Waal. The second round in the European Championship in the classes EMX 65cc, EMX 85cc and EMX Open was held today in Orlyonok (Russia). On a perfect prepared track and a perfect weather, the training and Qualification was done on Saturday, Sunday also in a perfect sunny Weather started with Warm up for all three classes. The first race in the 85cc class was the fastest rider Sergey Prytov (Russia), number two Dmytro Chrenov (Ukraine), and number three Daniil Balandin (Russia). In the second race the fastest rider was Sergey Prytov (Russia), number two was Aleksandr Boyarskiy (Russia) and on the third place Dmytro Chernov (Ukraine). The first race in the 65cc class was Timur Petrashin (Russia) the fastest rider on the second place Svyatoslav Pronenko (Russia), and on the third place Maksim Krayev (Russia). The Italian motocross track of Castiglione del Lago, located near the city of Perugia was the host of the second round of the European Championship 65cc-85cc South-Western Zone. As usual in Italy, the track was greatly prepared and the little riders were eager to race. Italian Gianluca Facchetti (Suzuki) managed to impose himself as the winner of the first EMX85 race. He was the only leader of the race being on the top spot from the start to finish. French rider Ludovic Bompar (KTM) did not get the best start and after lap one he was just outside top 10. This did not mean that he gave up fighting, earning position by postion until he was second. Third place went to Italian Filippo Grigoletto (KTM). Due to the magnificently high number of entries for the 125 2 stroke (69 entries) European Championship and the 250 (94) European Championship for Portugal, Youthstream and FIM Europe are delighted to be able to announce a change in the race format for these Championships permitting every rider to race. The former format would have sent home more than 50% of the riders after the timed practice not allowing them the chance to race, however it is imperative for the young riders to be able to race in order to improve. Youthstream sees the European Championship as the base of our sport's pyramid and it's fantastic to see the number and quality of riders increase with each year. The format will consist of 2 groups for the free practices, 2 groups for the timed practices, 2 semi-final races and a last-chance race on the Saturday, then the final will be

 The France A team won the Motocross of European Nations that was held this year at the beginning of the sporting season in Castelnau de Levis (France). Second position went to Italy and third Sweden. The event had a new formula that see the composition of national teams with 4 young riders of the classes 85cc, 125cc and 250cc. The aim was to show skills to new hopeful riders. The experiment met a positive acceptance by riders and saw a good participation. The event included also for the first time the Motocross of European Nations for Women with the victory of France A team followed by German and Italian teams. (UEM Press Release 24/2013)    

The first Event in the European Championship 65cc and 85cc South-Western Europe Zone was held today 14th of April on the well prepared track of Albaida (Spain). In the 65cc class the first heat was won by Russian Nikita Kucherov in front of Spanish Oliver Oriol and Spanish Jorge Ramos. The second heat was won by Spanish David Braceras with second position to Italian Alessandro Facca and third Nikita Kucherov. The 85cc class was dominated by Italian Gianluca Faccetti who won both heats. He was followed in the first heat by Italian Filippo Grigoletto and French Ludovic Bompar. In the second heat second position went to Italian Alberto Forato and Filippo Grigoletto. Next round of the South-Western leg of the Championship will take place in Castiglione sul Lago (Italy) on the 28th of April. (UEM Press Release 20/2013)    

The EMX125cc 2stroke Motocross European Championship started this weekend in the Italian track of Arco di Trento. In the first heat the winner was Latvian rider Pauls Jonass (KTM) in front of Swedish Anton Lundgren (KTM) and Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen (KTM). In the second heat Pauls Jonass confirmed his strength winning the race in front of Anton Lundren and Dutch Frederik Van der Vlist (Yamaha). The first Event in the European Championship 65cc and 85cc North-Western Europe Zone was held today 7th of April on the well prepared track of Kamperweg / Heerde (The Netherlands). Sunday started with the race for non-qualified riders and the fastest rider was Frederik Røste (Norway) and second was Bastian Bogh Dam (Denmark) and on the third place came Lucas Sandby Ankjær (Denmark). In the first race in the 85cc class was the fastest rider Conrad Mewse (Great Britain) followed by Jorge Prado Garcia (Spain) and on the third place came Glen Meier (Denmark). Also in second race was Conrad Mewse (Great Britain) the fastest with Jorge Prado Garcia (Spain) on the second place, and Kim Savaste (Finland) on the third place. The fastest rider in 65cc class race one was Anton Nagy (Sweden) on the second place Emil Weckman (Finland) and on the third place Raivo Dankers (The Netherlands).

The second round of the South-Eastern Europe leg of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships was held this weekend in Gevgelja (Macedonia). The training Saturday was very difficult because of rain and, and a lot of water on the Track. In the first race 65cc was Tommaso Bertotto (Hungary) the fastest rider with Dimitar Petrov (Bulgaria), on the second place, and Kristof Jakob (Hungary) on the third place. Second Race in the 65cc class was Adam Kovacs (Hungary) the fastest and number two was Dimitar Petrov, and on the third place came Benedek Kadar (Romania). The first race in 85cc class was Robert-Chrisztian Tompa (Romania) fastest, with Luka Crnkovic (Croatia) on the second place and Ivelin Gospodinov (Bulgaria) on the third place. The South-Eastern Europe leg of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships started this weekend the Bulgarian motocross track of Poroy, located near the Black Sea's coastline city of Pomorie. The track was greatly prepared and the riders were in for some action, powered by the cheers of a huge turnout of fans! In the first heat of 85cc class Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) swept the win by a considerable distance while Bulgarians Ivelin Manev (KTM) and Ivilin Gospodinov (KTM) setteled for second and third. Second heat of 85cc had the same scenario, Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) managing to get up in front and claim first place. Although this time Croatian Luka Crnkovic (KTM) took second while Bulgarian Ivilin Gospodinov (KTM) finished third again. Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) wins the overall and starts the Championship with maximum points (50), while second and third places are tied to fourty points each
