EMX250 European Championship in Hyvinkaa (Finland)

The historical sand based track of Hyvinkää in Finland was revived today for round five of the EMX250 championship. Taking his first win of the season was Beursfoon Suzuki’s Mike Kras ahead of the red plate holder Guillod Motorsports’ Valentin Guillod and KTM Scott Racing’s Brent Van Doninck. When the gates dropped for the EMX250 Final it was Racing Bike Finland’s Henric Stigell who came out of the gate with full force to take the holeshot. Following the local talent Stigell was a dynamic duo in the form of Brent Van Doninck and Mike Kras, who after growing up on world renowned sand tracks such as Lierop and Lommel were sure to be tough contenders here in Hyvinkää. Last round of EMX65 and 85 SE Europe in Globare (Serbia)

The sixth and final round in the European Championship SE zone was this weekend held in Globare, Krusevac (Serbia) on a perfect prepared/watered track the training and qualification round was made Friday on a sunny day by 30 degrees. The fastest rider in the Qualifying race in the EMX 65cc was Nikola Hranic (KTM) and in the EMX 85cc was Robert Tompa the fastest. Sunday started with warm-up and four races in the afternoon. The first race in the EMX 65cc class was number one Nikola Hranic (KTM) on the second place Jakob Kristof KTM, and on the third place Zsolt Kovacs Adam In the second race was also Nikola Hranic (KTM) number one, on the second place Zsolt Kovacs Adam (KTM) and on the third place Jacob Kristof (KTM). Last round of EMX65 and 85 NW Europe in Randers (Denmark)

The fifth and last round in the European Championship EMX 85cc and EMX 65cc (North Western qualification leg) was held today in Randers (Denmark). The event took place on a perfectly prepared track at an organizer with very high knowledge in MX Sport. The weather was perfect and got still warmer on Sunday (up to 27°). Best weather conditions for the kids and the youngsters. In the EMX65 class, holeshot of the first heat went to Kim Savaste in front of Kevin Horgmo and Roan van de Moosdijk. Danish rider Mikkel Haarup, 11th up to now and with a good chance for a top 10 place, crashed in the first lap and came back in last position. At the end only 22nd position. EMX125 and EMX250 European Championship in Kegums (Latvia)

‘Zelta Zirgs’ track in Kegums, Latvia, hosted this weekend rounds three and four of the EMX125 and EMX250 championships. Loamy caramel dirt, big fluffy berms, rolling wave sections and perfectly formed table tops sum up the circuit features. In the EMX125 class, local youngster Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass remained unbeaten this year taking his fourth final win. The EMX125 Final saw Jonass take the holeshot only to be passed through the first wave section by a dynamic Team MJC rider Nicolas Dercourt. Dercourt rode an amazing two laps looking to be a worthy challenger for the talented Latvian Jonass. Unfortunately for Frenchman Nicolas Dercourt the energy he had in the first two laps soon dwindled and he could no longer hold the pace of the red plate holder Jonass. Third round of EMX250 European Championship in Uddevalla (Sweden)

Third round of the EMX250 European Championship was held this weekend in Uddevalla (Sweden). After a week of dark clouds and rain, the skies cleared up to host the EMX250 Championship where Valentin Guillod kept up his momentum taking his third consecutive overall win to remain so far unbeaten in 2013. Damon Graulus was second and Jeremy Seewer was third. The EMX250 Final kicked off with Standing Construct KTM’s Damon Graulus firing out of the gate to take the holeshot and the early lead. Following closely behind was Stabilo Progrip MX Team’s Brian Bogers who was chased hard by the current championship point’s leader Guillod Motorsport’s Valentin Guillod. After sitting calmly in third, around half way the Swiss Guillod set the fastest lap time and began plotting his attack. A new European 300cc 2 stroke Championship to be launched in 2014

After a meeting between manufacturers and FIM, Youthstream and FIM Europe are glad to announce to start from next year of a new European 300 2 stroke Championship, that is likely to have a great success and it will be the base for a future World Championship. The market demand of the 2 stroke for Motocross is increasing rapidly. Youthstream plans to hold between 6 to 7 races together with the MXGP (like it is already done for the 125 and 250). Suggested capacity for the technical rules is going to be from 200cc to 300cc 2 stroke. Youthstream and FIM Europe believe a large number of riders is going participate to this Championship, in particular because of the fact that the MX3 World Championship will be stopped and for sure there will be many riders wanting to enter. EMX65 and 85 NE Europe in Cieszyn (Poland)

Cieszyn Poland was today the Organizer of the third round in the European Championship EMX 85cc and EMX 65cc. N.E. Group. Due to a very hot and sunny Saturday, the qualifying heats were not run, but postponed to Sunday morning, in the warm up session. In the 85cc Class the rider Pavel Repcak (KTM) was fastest and he got the pole position, in the two races in the afternoon. Second round of EMX250 European Championship in Ernee (France)

Round two of the EMX250 European Championship took place today at the spectator friendly circuit of Ernée, France, where Guillod Motorsport’s Valentin Guillod claimed his second victory of the 2013 season. Jeremy Seewer was second and Cereil Klein Kromhof completed the top three. In the opening stages of the race it was Ceriel Klein Kromhoff who took the lead followed by Valentin Guillod, Brian Bogers and Killian Auberson. While the Dutchman Klein Kromhoff was charging out front, there was no holding off the wrath of the current red plate holder Swiss Valentin Guillod who managed to pass Klein Kromhoff around mid race and lead until the finish. Starting from outside the top five Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Jeremy Seewer put in an outstanding ride.
