EMX 250 and EMX 125 European Championship: Van De moosdijk and Laengenfelder master Lommel The EMX250 and EMX125 presented by FMF Racing raced the sixth round in Lommel at the MXGP of Belgium, and once again it was the sand masters who came out and showed amazing skills around one of the toughest circuits in the World. F&H Racing Kawasaki’s Roan van de Moosdijk is the king of the sand in the EMX250 class, going 1-1 and taking the points’ lead in the series standings heading to the next round in Sweden. The Dutchman was a level above his competition as he clocked lap times bunch of seconds quicker than the other EMX250 riders, Creymert Racing’s Kevin Horgmo was second overall and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory’s Mikkel Haarup third. In the EMX125 presented by FMF Racing it was WZ-Racing’s Simon Laengenfelder who scored 2-1 results to win the overall, ahead of series leader Maddii Racing Husqvarna’s Mattia Guadagnini and Team VRT’s Tom Guyon. EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship: the final in Loket Bidzans and Marek are EMX85 and EMX65 Champions! The hillside circuit of Loket witnessed the future of motocross in action as the Finals of the European Championships EMX65 and EMX85 were held together with the premiere classes. Racing was nothing less than impressive with Latvian Edvards Bidzans catching the top step of the podium and local hero and 65cc World Cup winner Vitezslav Marek being crowned EMX85 and EMX65 European Championship respectively. EMX85 The opening EMX85 race saw a great performance from Latvian Edvards Bidzans as the he did not have a good start but could manage to be in fourth position in lap one and worked his way through the field to move into first place on lap three and controlled the race from there, winning ahead of Quentin Marc Prugnieres and Marchetti Racing KTM’s Valerio Lata. EMX Open European Championship: season finale in Ukraina The last round of the EMX Open European Championship took place this weekend in Kiev, Ukraina. Good weather conditions in the morning and heavy rain in the afternoon welcomed the eight riders in fight for the season finale. Thrilling battle for the third place between local hero Oleh Kruk and the Matej Jaros. The 4-point lead Ukrainian lost 2 points in the first race. However, he was able to fight back in the second race under much more difficult conditions and to secure third place in the championship. Undeterred Volodymyr Tarasow secured with two wins the day's victory ahead of the Czech Petr Michalec which unobtrusively but surely brought his 2nd place in the championship home. Tragic mourning for the Polish Motocross

Tragic mourning for the Polish Motocross Polish champion Łukasz Lonka, 29 years-old, passed away yesterday following to the serious head and spine injury after a crash in the regional championship held last Sunday. Łukasz was an icon of the Polish motocross: multiple Polish champion, twice third in the European Championship (2008 - EMX Junior; 2010 - EMX Open), four times part of the Polish National Team at the Motocross of Nations (Teutschenthal, Kegums, Ernee, Maggiora). Last season he raced in the World Championship (MX3), in the European Championship (EMX250) and in many others championship such as MACEC, ADAC, Dutch Masters, ONK, MMCR and others international competitions. The FIM Europe takes part in the loss and the full sympathy goes out to his family.

2020 FIM Motocross European Championship Provisional Calendar Now that the 2019 MXGP Season is running into the second half, FIM Europe and Youthstream are proud to release the 2020 FIM Motocross European Championships Provisional Calendar for classes EMX125, EMX250, EMX2T and EMX Open. From 2020 the EMX Open Championship will be combined with MXGP/MX2 events within Europe. There will be 6 events counting towards the championship standings in the EMX Open Championship, all at MXGP/MX2 events similar to and in the same format as the EMX125, EMX250 and EMX2T championships. EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship North East zone: last round in Estonia This weekend the last round of EMX65/85 NE Zone was held on legendary Jaanikese track in Estonia and the 10 of each group, who got to the EC finals, were cleared. In EMX85 class there was Latvian Karlis Alberts Reišulis (KTM) who was too tough for others to beat and the young Latvian won cleary qualification race and the both finals. In the first race Russian Zakhar Osmolovskii (Husqvarna) and Estonian Mikk Martin Lõhmus (KTM) batteled for second and this time Russian was a bit quicker and took second place ahead of Lõhmus. In the second race Lõhmus didn't let anybody threaten his position and took second place, third Aleh Makhnou (KTM) from Belarussia, who finished sixth in the first heat. EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship South West zone and EMX Open European Championship: last round in Slovenia The beautiful area around Sentvid Pri Sticni hosted on 29th-30th June the last round of the season. Under a clear blue sky and over 30° temperature this final round has been very interesting as the top ten riders of the classification will take part to the final in Loket at the last weekend of July. EMX 65 class Sunday’s race 1 was ruled from start to finish by the French Basile Pigois. Zone leader Joel Canadas started at 6th place: he moved up to second but a few mistakes in last lap led the Italian Filippo Mantonvani to pass. EMX 250 European Championship and EMX 125 European Championship: Rubini and Guyon take top step in EMX The circuit of Teutschenthal hosted the round of EMX Championships EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing. Through the 2 days of racing where the Summer heat ups the Talkessel circuit it was Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Stephen Rubini and Team VRT’s Tom Guyon who proved to be the most prepared to challenge the technical German track. F&H Racing Kawasaki’s Roan Van De Moosdijk came out of the first lap with the lead in the EMX250 opening race and held that position for 12 laps before second placed Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Stephen Rubini closed up and passed the Dutchman on lap 13 and took the win. Van De Moosdijk finished second while Team Maddii Racing Husqvarna’s Alberto Forato finished third.
