EMX 125, EMX 250, EMX Open, EMX 2T Updated Calendars It is with great pleasure that the FIM Europe and Infront Moto Racing can finally reveal the updated 2020 calendars, as the series will make its much-anticipated return following a four month break due to the COVID-19 outbreak. During the last four months, the FIM Europe, Infront Moto Racing alongside the FIM, National Federations and Organisers have been continuously in contact and weekly discussions with local governments have taken place, in order to determine the best way to re-start the FIM Motocross World Championships and the Motocross European Championships. The common goal has remained to preserve the maximum number of events in order to make a credible Championship, supporting all the stakeholders with the aim of saving the jobs of everyone in our sport. EMX65, EMX85 and Women’s Championships’ cancelled for 2020 FIM Europe regrets to announce that due to the global COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 European Championships EMX65, EMX85 and Women’s are cancelled. The EMX65 andEMX85 championships should have taken place in four zone: South East, South West, North East, North West and the finals were set to take place at the popular Loket circuit in Czech Republic, with the EMXGP and many of the European youngest talents due to gather for another fantastic weekend of racing. Unfortunately, due to the current global situation, this will not be possible in 2020 as most of the EMX65 and EMX85 events were supposed to run in spring/summer and can not be re-scheduled in autumn due to the school calendar. Update of required rider’s protection for 2020 for EMX65/85/125 The FIM Europe, in cooperation with the FIM, is working on improving the safety and well-being of riders. In order to harmonize FIM Europe rules with the rules of FIM Junior Motocross World Championship, the FIM Europe is extending required protective equipment for EMX65/85/125 classes to include also shoulder, elbow and knee protection. As stated in the FIM Europe motocross rules for 2020, paragraph 01.2.8.3: riders must wear unmodified, commercially available, full upper body protection (back and front) at all times whilst on the track; riders in EMX65, EMX85 and EMX125 must wear commercially available, unmodified shoulder, elbow and knee protection at all times whilst on the track; riders in all other classes including quad riders and sidecar drivers and passengers are recommended to use shoulder, elbow and knee protection at all times whilst on the track. EMX 250 European Championship: Bastian Boegh Damm leaves Valkenswaard with the red plate The opening round of the European Championship EMX250 was raced in Valkenswaard with Bastian Boegh Damm leaving the Dutch round as the championship leader. In race one, it was Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory rider Kay De Wolf who grabbed the holeshot, closely followed by Bastian Boegh Damm of W-Z Racing, but was quickly pushed down to third by Gianluca Facchetti, rider for Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing. Meanwhile Jorgen-Matthias Talviku was in around fourth place. Facchetti tried to muscle his way into the lead in the early stages but Boegh Damm was not going to let that happen. The next lap saw Facchetti fall from third to sixth, but then two laps later was able to make up for lost time, passing KTM Liamski’s Liam Everts. The Italian followed Isak Gifting towards the leaders, as they caught the back of Talviku who was in second. 2020 Motocross European Championships Calendar Update - Trentino Postponed The FIM Europe and Infront Moto Racing regrets to inform that due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the MXGP of Trentino, Italy, scheduled together with the EMX250 and EMX 2T on 4th-5th April, has been postponed to 18th-19th July. Considering the very difficult situation in Italy with regards to the coronavirus and the fact that the Italian government has forbidden the organisation of public events in Italy until the 3rd April including the difficulties of travelling in the northern regions of the country, the 2020 MXGP of Trentino in Italy will be postponed. The aim of FIM Europe, FIM and Infront Moto Racing is to make the FIM Motocross World Championships and FIM-E Motocross European Championships run with all the events programmed. EMX 125 2T European Championship: Liam Everts victorious in Great Britain First seasonal round for the EMX 125 2T European Championship at Matterley Basin in Great Britain. In the opening race on Saturday, Liam Everts got off to a flying start, followed by Kjell Verbruggen and Maxime Grau. By lap two Verbruggen was in second, as Grau went missing, dropping down to 13thposition. By lap 4, Verbruggen was coming under fire from W-Z Racing rider Rasmus Pedersen and a crash saw the Dutch rider drop down to 35th. Pedersen then moved to third as Kevin Brumann of iXS MXGP Team passed for second place. Finding good rhythm around the British circuit, Everts was able to pull away from Brumann, finishing the race with an impressive 24.122 second lead! Pedersen finished 3rd, while Cato Nickel and Meico Vettikplaced 4th and 5th. Local riders, Joel Rizzi of PAR Homes RFX Husqvarna and Eddie Jay Wade of Hitachi fueled by Milwaukee made the British proud with a 9th and a 10th place finish. In race 2, it was Brumann

EMX125 European Championship round of Spain venue announced! FIM Europe and Youthstream are very pleased to announce that the brand-new venue of intu Xanadú in Arroyomolinos (Comunidad de Madrid) will host the second round of the EMX125 European Championship on the 18th-19th April 2020! After a one-year break from the calendar, the Spanish Grand Prix will be back for the next three seasons, and this season will head to the hard pack track at intu Xanadú, located just 22km from the center of Madrid. This will be the first time that the European Championship will land in Madrid and that has been made possible thanks to the support offered by the Community of Madrid, the Vice Ministry of Sports, the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation and the Madrid Motorcycle Federation. MX of European Nations and Women's Motocross of European Nations: Team Italy and Team Netherlands victorious in Poland for the MXOEN and WMXOEN The 2019 Motocross of European Nations has concluded at the Gdansk circuit here in Poland. Team Italy rode their way to victory as they defended their title once again, and in the women’s category, Team Netherlands finally took that all important victory! The weather in Poland was a mixture of rain and sunshine, as riders battled it out in all weather and track conditions for pride and glory for their country. A total of six races took place this weekend starting off with the Women’s Motocross of European Nations and finishing off with the EMX125/250 race, with the EMX85 in between. Each group rode a total of two races, as they fought for the highest positions, in order to take the least amount of point, with the worst result not being counted. Motocross of European

2019 Motocross of European Nations Entry Lists FIM Europe and Youthstream are happy to release the entry lists for the FIM Europe’s 2019 Motocross of European Nations and the Women’s Motocross of European Nations held this weekend on the 5th and 6th of October in Gdansk, Poland! This will be the third consecutive year that Poland will host the MXoEN, following the success of the previous events. After two thrilling days of riding on the international stage for the first time at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, the 2019 YZ bLUcRU FIM Europe Cup started on 28th September as for the first time in the history the bLUcRU program was split into 65, 85 and 125 classes, totalling nearly 100 of the most promising young Yamaha riders in Europe racing on the same track as the pro MXGP riders. Beginning with a damp opening free practice session in the morning, the YZ65 youngsters were the first competitors to ride the newly built sand track.
