European Enduro Championship in Rüdersdorf (Germany) – Preview

Maurizio Micheluz, the Italian defending champion The final of the Enduro Championship will be held from October 30th to November 1st in the German city of Rüdersdorf (in the east of Berlin). The start is scheduled on Friday evening with a prologue. From 17:00 clock, the participants of the European Championship will compete there in pairs against each other. The race for the two days foresees three courses on the 62 kms track, with three different special stages. One of them is right in the paddock. The start will be on Saturday at 8:00 and on Sunday from 7:30 already. The main focus is the fight for the title in the Overall standings: the fastest rider of all classes is the Brit Tom Sagar. With a second place in the final day of the last round of the enduro-european-championship in Uhlirske Janovice / CZ, the Italian Maurizio Micheluz defended his Overall-title! “Why do we always have to race in rain and mud,” asked the Suzuki-rider bevore, because he knows, that this kind of conditions preferably the Englishman. But his greatest competitor, the Brit Tom Sagar, was fighting with technical problems on second day: His chain jumped away and this costs him more than 40 seconds in the special-test. So Sagars fellow countryman, Steve Holcombe, repeated his success from the first day and was again fastest rider of all classes. In addition this weekend where fight out for the national rankings – these were won by the british riders in the National-Team and in the Juniors! Third round of Extreme Enduro in Kilsbergen (Sweden)

The third race of Extreme Enduro European Cup was held yesterday in Kilsbergen just outside Örebro in Sweden. The track was about 10km long and had a lot of difficulties, both natural and built up obstacles. The weather was sunny and about 30 degrees celsius and the race time was 4 hours. There was a prologue on Friday afternoon to decide starting order, and Jonny Walker (GBR) had the best time followed by Joakim Ljunggren (Sweden) and today the riders started after the results from the prologue with 10 sec distance between each rider. Jonny Walker took the advantage to start first and never let anybody come close and was first all the way to the finish, second was Joakim Ljunggren and third Graham Jarvis (GBR). Second day of Enduro European Championship in Casanova di Staffora (Italy)

The second day at the third round of the Enduro European Championship (EEC) in Casanova di Staffora / Italy was won by the Italian rider Maurizio Micheluz. The reigning champion had a tight fight with his countryman Jacopo Cerutti. The winner of the first day, the Brit Tom Sagar, lost a lot of time already in the first lap, when he had a very hard crash in the Enduro-Test. This for he couldn’t reach the two Italians. The heavy rain at the end of the day doesn’t help him too: the last test became very slippery and difficult. The rain started, when the first rider arrived and became more and more. This is the reason that the 17 year old junior Brad Freeman from England won this test took the second place in the overall! First day of Enduro European Championship in Casanova di Staffora (Italy)

The first day at the third round of the Enduro European Championship (EEC) in Casanova di Staffora / Italy was won by the British rider Tom Sagar on his KTM: he was 51 seconds in front of the reigning Champion Maurizio Micheluz and his countryman Jacopo Cerutti – Both couldn’t take time from their “home-advantage”. Micheluz took the second place in the last of the six tests – which came together to 50 minutes: “I know, Jacco was only fife seconds far, so I pushed as hard as possible.” This helped him to win this enduro-test with 8 seconds in front of Cerutti and so he took the second place of the day. With this we already have the the winner of three main classes. Presentation of the Enduro EC round in Casanova di Staffora (Italy)

The Enduro European championship is on the way to the third round: Next weekend (28th / 29th of June) it will take place in Casanova di Staffora, in the Northern part of Italy, little bit east of the line between Milano and Genova (Mailand – Genua). More than 120 riders from 13 different nations are expected. On both days they have to complete for three times the track of 50 km and three special-tests each round. The reigning overall-champion Maurizio Micheluz is in his home-country and used to the area and the ground and will try to defend his current leadership. Second round of Extreme Enduro European Cup in Petra Neamt (Romania)

Romanian Zen World Extreme Moto-Club organised last weekend the second round of the FIM-Europe Extreme Enduro European Cup in the beautiful mountain surroundings of Piatra Neamt city. More than 5.000 spectators gathered in different areas of the track to see the battle between the top riders of Extreme Enduro. Jonny Walker (KTM) managed to win the Prologue of the event on Friday, giving him the first starting position for Day 1. Second for the Prologue was British rider Graham Jarvis (Husqvarna) while Spanish Alfredo Gomez (Husqvarna) and British Paul Bolton (KTM) tied for third and fourth. In the second day of Enduro EC in Bacau, the British rider Tom Sagar became again fastest rider in the overall at the second day of the Enduro-European-Championship in Bacau / Romania: “This weekend the tests have suited me – as most of the britisch riders here,” said the KTM-rider. The first day at the second round of the Enduro European Championship (EEC) in Bacau / Romania was a battle against water and mud: It was two days raining non-stop – but at the same moment the first riders started, the rain stopped! This was the situation like an home-advantage for the british riders: So Tom Sagar wonn six of seven tests in the overall in front of Maurizio Micheluz.
