2020 Motocross European Championships Calendar Update - Trentino Postponed The FIM Europe and Infront Moto Racing regrets to inform that due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the MXGP of Trentino, Italy, scheduled together with the EMX250 and EMX 2T on 4th-5th April, has been postponed to 18th-19th July. Considering the very difficult situation in Italy with regards to the coronavirus and the fact that the Italian government has forbidden the organisation of public events in Italy until the 3rd April including the difficulties of travelling in the northern regions of the country, the 2020 MXGP of Trentino in Italy will be postponed. The aim of FIM Europe, FIM and Infront Moto Racing is to make the FIM Motocross World Championships and FIM-E Motocross European Championships run with all the events programmed. The rest of the calendars up to now stay unchanged while the development of the situation in every country

The FIM Europe 2020 Yearbook is online The FIM Europe is glad to inform that the new issue of the FIM Europe Yearbook is now online and it can be downloaded for free here or in the reserved area of the official website. In the table of contents, the welcome from the FIM Europe President Mr Martin de Graaff, the story, the organization and the structure of FIM Europe, as well as info about International and National Organizations, Federations and Regional Associations, the 2019 sporting results, the roll of honour of European Championships and Cups. Furthermore, information about the communication, website, press card, Road Safety Conference, Moto Tour Assistant Training Course, FIM Europe Congress and Motorcycle friendly Hotels. The Yearbook also contains a preview on the 2020 sporting season and the official calendars.

EMX 125 2T European Championship: Liam Everts victorious in Great Britain First seasonal round for the EMX 125 2T European Championship at Matterley Basin in Great Britain. In the opening race on Saturday, Liam Everts got off to a flying start, followed by Kjell Verbruggen and Maxime Grau. By lap two Verbruggen was in second, as Grau went missing, dropping down to 13thposition. By lap 4, Verbruggen was coming under fire from W-Z Racing rider Rasmus Pedersen and a crash saw the Dutch rider drop down to 35th. Pedersen then moved to third as Kevin Brumann of iXS MXGP Team passed for second place. Finding good rhythm around the British circuit, Everts was able to pull away from Brumann, finishing the race with an impressive 24.122 second lead! Pedersen finished 3rd, while Cato Nickel and Meico Vettikplaced 4th and 5th. Local riders, Joel Rizzi of PAR Homes RFX Husqvarna and Eddie Jay Wade of Hitachi fueled by Milwaukee made the British proud with a 9th and a 10th place finish. In race 2, it was Brumann

The French company will organize the next 3 seasons of the European Supercross Championship. On the agenda, the completion of the contract and the calendar of the European Supercross Championship. Kevin Pronier, Twenty One Sport President “For the next years I’ll be the promoter of the Supercross European Championship (SXEC) with two main categories: Men and Women and different classes. The main goal is to have a good Championship with the best European riders. We would like have between 4 and 5 races for this first year and to develop the Championship during the next 3 seasons.

Superenduro Cup: final round in Budapest Photocredit: Dudás Endre The final round of the Superenduro Cup was raced on Saturday at Papp Laszlo Arena in Budapest, Hungary. A great evening with 34 riders fighting for the European title in front of over 5.500 spectators. The organizers did an excellent job, both for the route and the details with technical passages that highlighted the best riders. 14 riders reached the two finals and the title remained uncertain until the last lap with an amazing fight between the Swedish Magnus Thor and the Italian Sonny Goggia, who had to contain the Germans Springmann and Pfeifer and the Slovenian Spindler. At the end the race was won by Sonny Goggia of Team Berghem in front of Thor and Marco Pfeifer. Fifth place for the home rider the Hungarian Zsigovitz Norbert, supported by the local public.
