Northern Talent Cup: round 2 at Sachsenring The Northern Talent Cup headed to the iconic Sachsenring Circuit in Germany for Round 2 of the 2024 season, promising another weekend of exhilarating racing action. Race 1 Jurrien Van Crugten (BB64 Academy) took his first victory in the Northern Talent Cup in a masterful display at the Sachsening, finishing ahead of rivals Tom Rolin (Junior Black Knights) and Antoine Nativi (Racing Nativi Team). Race 1 took place in warm and dry conditions with the riders on slicks. Ben Wiegner (JB-Racing) got a poor start from pole and dropped to sixth, but it was Assen Race 2 winner Tobias Kitzbichler (Racing Team Kitzbichler) who took the holeshot from second on the grid. By the end of the first lap, a lead group of four had formed, led by Dustin Schneider (Mass Sports Racing by JRP Academy) ahead of Kitzbichler, Van Crugten, and Alessandro Binder (Kiefer Racing). Moto2 European Championship, ETC and Stock: mixed weather conditions throw up some surprise results at the Circuito do Estoril Rain, sun, then a bit more rain was the order of the day at the Circuito do Estoril, with debut winners emerging from the tricky conditions. EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship North Europe zone EMX Women' European Championship: Poland hosted the first round of the NE zone and third for the Women   Pictures copyrights: Aleksandra Wozniak First seasonal round for the EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship North Europe zone, last weekend back to the town of Oborniki for the inaugural race of the calendar together with the third round of the EMX Women' European Championship. The last time that the Polish city had an European race was in 2011: after almost 15 years, more than 100 riders faced two hot days with thrilling fights. EMX85 2023 Champion Lucas Leok (Husqvarna) ruled both races with determination. EMX125 European Championship and EMX 250 European Championship: first win of the season for Valk and Doensen in rainy Portugal The EMX125 European Championship and EMX 250 European Championship races at Agueda, Portugal, happened in very tough conditions for the young riders who had to focus hard and showed great skills to stay on the bike with ruts deepening as the races went on. Individual Speedway Championship: QR3 and QR4 The 2024 season of the SEC, the Individual Speedway Championship, gets into the heart with another double challenge. After last week QR1 in Hungary and QR2 in Austria, this time was the turn of QR3 and QR4, the final two qualifying rounds for the SEC Challenge. The third qualifying round was held in Stralsund, Germany. Polish riders Maciej Janowski and Przemyslaw Pawlicki, and Danish rider and Rasmus Jensen set the pace from the beginning, securing their promotion to the SEC Challenge. Each scored 14 points in five starts, necessitating an extra race to determine the final order. In this race, “Magic” Janowski emerged victorious, with Pawlicki finishing second and Jensen third. Motocross European Championships: 2024 calendar updates The FIM Europe, together with Infront Moto Racing and FIM, is glad to announce two updates to the 2024 Motocross European Championships calendar. The Spanish venue of Cozar will be the third Spanish stop of the season as the host for the thrilling final round of the 2024 EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX250 series. The MXGP of Castilla La Mancha will take place on the 28th and 29th September. Riders will face a challenging and diverse track featuring spectacular jumps and tight corners, pushing them to their limits in pursuit of the final podium of 2024. Individual Speedway Championship: QR1 and QR2 The holiday long weekend for the Labour Day didn’t stop the European world of motorcycling competitions. The season of the SEC, the Individual Speedway Championship, started today with a double challenge: the QR1 in Debrecen, Hungary, and the QR2 in Mureck, Austria. The first of the four qualifying rounds was held in Debrecen. On the track for the QR1, where the first round of TAURON SEC 2024 is set to take place on June 8, the one who shown the brightest was Anders Thomsen. The Dane finished with a maximum of 15 points. Second place, behind for just one-point, Swedish rider Jacob Thorssell. The minor point differences in the final classification meant that the last two places that were eligible for promotion to the SEC Challenge were decided by an extra race.
