Motocross European Championships: provisional calendars The FIM Europe, together with Infront Moto Racing, is delighted to share the provisional calendars for the 2022 season of the Motocross European Championships.   The EMX125 and EMX OPEN will kick off in Matterley Basin, Great Britain, on the 19th/20th of February, while the EMX250 in The Netherlands. In the Czech Republic there will be the EMX 2T and the EMX65 and EMX85 finals. For the TBA events that are yet to be announced, Infront Moto Racing is negotiating with various European organizers to offer some more exciting venues! As already announced the Motocross of European Nations will take place in Krasnodar in 2022 on the 2nd of October while the YZ bLU cRU Superfinale will be held on the 18th of September in 2022 and the venue will be announced shortly. EMX250 and EMX125 European Championship: Lapucci and Lata crowned champions on home soil It was a big day for Italian riders Nicholas Lapucci of Fantic Factory Team Maddi and Valerio Lata of MRT Racing Team KTM, as the pair secured the crown in the EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing Championships. The newly crowned champions were able to revel in their success at the chequered flag of their first races, as Lapucci had enough of an advantage over his closest rival Kevin Horgmo of SM Action Racing Team YUASA Battery, despite the Norwegian winning the first EMX250 race, while Lata’s closest rival Bobby Bruceof ASA United GasGas Racing was forced out of the running due to a broken chain. Enduro Vintage European Championship: final in Spain Last weekend the Enduro Vintage European Championship came to the end of its season after the first round in Italy, the second one France and the third in Germany. The city of Sant Mateu, Spain, hosted the last race of the year. A two-days race with the top organisation of the Club de Motociclismo Off Road Sant Mateu. Riders from all Europe competed until the last special test for the European title. EMX 2T and EMX250 European Championship: Spies secures EMX2T title and Lapucci wins in EMX250 Round of Lombardia in Mantova saw the penultimate and final rounds of the EMX250 and the EMX2t Presented by FMF Racing series, as a new European Champion was crowned. Fantic Factory Team Maddii had plenty to celebrate as Maximilian Spies secured his first European title in the EMX2t Presented by FMF Racing after a 1-3 result, as well as an overall victory from their second two-stroke rider Federico Tuani who went on to win the second race. Meanwhile in EMX250 their rider Nicholas Lapucci had the perfect day as he extended his championship lead with two race wins for his fourth overall win of the season. EMX2T The EMX2t Presented by FMF Racing Championship chase came down to the wire once again this season. EMX 125 and EMX250 European Championship: Horgmo and Coenen top the podium at Garda round Action in Pietramurata saw rounds eight of the EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing championships, as SM Action Racing Team YUASA Battery’s Kevin Horgmo and 9MM Energy Drink Kawasaki Bud Racing’s Lucas Coenen celebrated overall victories in their respective classes. EMX250 In the first EMX250 race, it was Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Nicholas Lapucci with the holeshot as Andrea Bonacorsi of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing got himself into second ahead of Raf Meuwissen of Riley Racing. Lapucci then made a mistake and crashed out of the lead, with Bonacorsi inheriting the top spot. The Yamaha rider then led the way ahead of Meuwissen, Horgmo and Maxime Grau of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing. Lapucci was up in 11th. Horgmo then made a pass on Meuwissen for second position and shortly after the Dutchman dropped another spot as Grau was able to find a way through as well. Horgmo then closed in on the rear wheel of
