EMX 250 European Championship Elzinga secures the overall win at the round of Lombardia The EMX 250 European Championship riders have completed the opening round of the series in Lombardia, with Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing’s Rick Elzinga victorious. The Dutchman leaves Italy with the red plate, ahead of Fantic Factory Team Maddii duo of Cornelius Toendel and Haakon Osterhagen. In EMX250 race one, it was Mike Gwerder of WZ Racing Team who was flying out of the gate and led the way. Behind him was David Braceras from Team VRT KTM Veritise, Raf Meuwissen of Raf’s Motorsports, Marcel Stauffer of Sturm STC Racing Team and Andrea Bonacorsi from Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing. Stauffer then crashed out of fourth which allowed Bonacorsi and Rick Elzinga of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing through, but Bonacorsi’s charge to the front did not last long as a battle with Cornelius Toendel of Fantic Factory Team

Bajas European Championship Cancellation of the race in Ukraine The FIM Europe, together with the Enduro & Rally Commission, announces that due to the current situation the round of the Bajas European Championship in Ukraine is cancelled. The race should have taken place on July 22nd-23rd-24th in the Kherson Oblast Region, in southern Ukraine. All the other races are confirmed. EMX 125 and EMX Open European Championship Valk and Sandner top the EMX podium in Great Britain The opening rounds of the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX Open categories have concluded with overall victories from Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Cas Valk and Michael Sandner of Raths Motorsports. The European Championship riders were treated to two days of perfect conditions which made for some great racing that featured plenty of excitement and close battles. In Saturday’s EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing heat it was Karlis Alberts Reisulis of Yamaha Europe EMX125 MJC who grabbed the holeshot from Julius Mikula, Alexis Fueri of Fantic Factory Team Maddii and Elias Escandell of RFME GASGAS MX Junior Team. A couple of corners later the running order was a little different with K. Reisulis still in the lead as Brit Joe Brookes moved into third and Yamaha Europe EMX125 MJC’s Ivano Van Erp into fourth. Therefor the Russian rounds of the EMX250 and EMX Open European Championships are cancelled. The local Organizer has been informed. The Road Racing Commission presents the European Handy Bridgestone Cup The FIM Europe, together with the Road Racing Commission, is delighted to announce the new edition of the European Handy Bridgestone Cup. After the success of last year, Emiliano Malagoli (Di.Di Diversamente Disabily Non Profit Italy) and Stephane Paulus (HFR Non Profit France) are proud to announce the new edition of the Road Racing Championship dedicated to people with disabilities. FIM Europe supports the championship, that is more than a race: it’s a demonstration of courage and determination these guys had to start over despite their disability. The season will see four different dates, starting from the double round at Le Mans (together with FIM EWC), following by the race at Spa (always with the FIM EWC) and the final round at Jerez de la Frontera. European Individual Ice Speedway Championship: Dmitrii Soliannikov rules in Poland The European Individual Ice Speedway Championship went back to Sanok, Poland, for the first of the two rounds in calendar. A warm audience of 2.500 of spectators welcomed teams and riders having the occasion to watch a hard-fought meeting. Great performance for two Russian riders: Dmitrii Soliannikov and Vladimir Fadeev fought for the victory until the end, where Soliannikov wins with 18 points. Behind them, great battle for the podium between Harald Simon, Luca Bauer, Jasper Iwema and Lukas Hutla. The Austrian Simon had the best conquering the third position. EMX Open and 125 European Championship: the first round in Great Britain postponed to next weekend Infront Moto Racing and FIM Europe regret to inform that due to the severe weather conditions on-site in Matterley Basin, as a result of storm Eunice, the first round of the EMX Open and EMX 125 European Championship will be postponed to next weekend. Despite numerous meetings with the Strategic Planning Group from Hampshire, made up of Winchester County Council, Police and Environmental Health, a government warning was issued due to the strong wind gusts experienced yesterday and forecasted to continue throughout the weekend. The main concern of FIM Europe and all involved parties is health and safety of anyone attending the event be them public, riders, teams, workers and members of the industry. Enduro European Championship: new 24MX 50 CC Trophy The FIM Europe, together with Maxim, presents the new 24MX 50 CC Trophy in order to promote the participation of the youngest riders to the Enduro European Championship. The 24MX 50 CC Trophy will take place on 19th-20th March in Pietramontecorvino (Italy) during the first round and is sponsored by the Swedish brand 24MX, the most famous E-commerce in Europe for the sale of spare parts, clothing and accessories useful for carrying out motorcycle activity. This special category is reserved to all registered and insured motorcycles with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 50 cubic centimeters and all riders with a regular driving licence. The FIM Europe Enduro & Rally Promotional (One Event) licence and starting permission issued by FMNs is required. The promotion of young people is fundamental to keep enduro alive.
