European Sidecar Championship: qualifying round in Germany A very hot day in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, welcomed the qualifying round of the European Sidecar Championship. The race started in the evening and thanks to the great work done by the Moto Club the track was in good condition and the race had hard-fought battles.  The final was won by the couple Sven Holstein/Natasja Bartlett at the end of a nice battle with German riders Markus Brandhofer and Sandra Mollema, who finished third due to a problem to the engine just in the last corner. Immanuel Schramm and Frank Schiemer took the occasion to finish second. The Final is scheduled on 28 August in Eenrum, in the Netherlands. Final classification: 1. Sven Holstein / Natasja Barlett 2. Vintage Hill Climb European Championship The third and last round of the Vintage Hill Climb European Championship took place in the picturesque town of Lückendorf near Zittau, in Saxony, Germany. The race was excellent organised by MC Robur from Zittau with nice sunny but mild weather: Luckendorfer Bergrennen was first organised in 1923 and have continuously raced since than with only a break during the 2nd World War and Covid-19. This year the event celebrated its 99th anniversary. The track was 3552 m long with races both on Saturday and Sunday. EMX 125 European Championship and EMX 250 European Championship: Osterhangen and Van Erp top the podium in Sweden Rounds eight of the EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing have concluded at the round of Sweden in Uddevalla, with Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Haakon Osterhagen securing his first overall victory in the EMX250 class, while Yamaha Europe EMX125 MJC’s Ivano Van Erp celebrated his second visit to the top step of the podium. EMX250 In the first EMX250 race of the weekend, it was Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Haakon Osterhagen who took the holeshot while Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing’s Andrea Bonacorsi got caught up in a big crash, and did not carry on with the race, as his teammate Rick Elzinga also had a tough start to his race. SEC: Final 2 in Germany Final 2 for the SEC, the Speedway European Championship in Güstrow, Germany. Janusz Kołodziej won the 2nd round, Patryk Dudek took second place, while Daniel Bewley was third. Janusz Kołodziej brought home a set of points from as many as four of the five races he rode. This gave the Pole a handicap at the end of the regular phase, when he, Leon Madsen and Patryk Dudek each had 12 points. Kołodziej directly advanced to the finals, along with Madsen, who was pushed by a win in race 9 against the popular "Duzers". In the last chance race, Patryk Dudek and Daniel Bewley used the advantages of the outer starting fields. Mikkel Michelsen fought for a pass to the final until the very end but passed the finish line as third. Mini Road Racing European Championship After two years of lock down due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Mini Road Racing European Championship was back in action hosted by the “Cathedral of Speed”, the TT Assen in The Netherlands for a three-day event. The event was organized together with a big national event on the main venue which attracts a very large crowd of spectators. The weather defied the heat wave dominating other parts of Europe and with sunshine and around 22 degrees set the perfect conditions for three days of racing and friendship for the young riders. 6 nations were represented and the Mini Moto classes were all present. The Mini Bike classes of Ohvale and Honda NSF were absent due to a conflict of dates with other events. Trial European Championship: round 3 on iconic Isle of Man Pictures copyrights: Leah Robinson, Jennie Jansson, Magnus Liljeblad The third round of the Trial European Championship took place on the iconic Isle of Man, in Great Britain. A fantastic race with good weather and a beautiful scenery, with all the sections just by the beach. The soil is mostly volcanic rocks which make grip very good: the sections level was very good in all the classes. Day 1 First off from the paddock was the International Women Class. It was a battle for the win between the Manx rider Summer Peters and the British Holly Dixon. In the end Summers took the win. In the Youth International the British Harrison Lightfoot started out best leading after the first lap, but the Italian rider Etienne Giacuzzo finally took the win with only 1 mark, making very good laps 2 and 3.
