SM & S3 Junior European Championship: double round in Bulgaria Fantastic and renowned all-asphalt Supermoto track in Pleven, Bulgaria, best S1GP venue for a number of seasons in a row, was the host of the last rounds of the 2022 S3 Junior European Championship and rounds 3 and 4 of the SM Junior European Championship, under the perfect organization of the Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation. The weather conditions were very unfriendly on Saturday with rain, however the weather turned better on Sunday. Saturday’s round of SM Junior started with a clear win of Czech rider Matej Kokes (HUQVARNA) in Race 1, who managed to build and maintain a good gap to second place Estonian rider Mathias Vetkin (TM). In both races third and fourth places were respectively for Estonian Rasmus Ebelmann (HUSQVARNA) and Spanish Ramon Godino (YAMAHA), while Vetkin managed to pull a win in the second race to tie Kokes

SEC - Final 3: Kołodziej wins in Łódź Janusz Kolodziej won the TAURON SEC - Final 3, which was held in Łódź, Poland. Before the grand finale in Pardubice, the Pole is on the lead of the interim classification of the series. Second in the table, Leon Madsen loses only one point. After two series of starts, Madsen and Woryna were on the lead. The Dane showed a fantastic form and made up for his loss to the leaders. The only one to beat Madsen was Janusz Kołodziej. Thanks to his great performance, the Dane was promoted directly to the final and, equally important, moved to the first place in the interim classification already after the main round in Łódź. European U19 Speedway Championship: QR2 in Czech Republic QR2 of the European U19 Speedway Championship was raced in a sunny Plzen, Czech Republic, about 90 kilometres west of Prague in western Bohemia and fourth most populous city in the country. Wiktor Przyjemski (Poland) was the best winning ahead of Francis Gusts (Latvia), second after an additional run-off heat, and Norick Blodorn (Germany). Dragbike European Championship: Hockenheim race Third and penultimate round of the Dragbike European Championship at the Nitrolympx in Hockenheim, Germany. Not only the temperatures on the track were a record, breaking with highs of 36 degrees, but also the ticket sale was the highest ever in the long history of this event. FIM-E Top Fuel Bike Rikard Gustafsson prevailed over the four bike field continuing his low six second consistency over the weekend to the very last and easily covering final round opponent Rene van den Berg with a 6.089/246.53 to a wayward 6.586. With the event win the Swede adds a fourth NitrOlympX title in a row to the expanding trophy cabinet at RG Engineering in Falkenberg and will be looking to head off van den Berg in the points chase at Santa Pod in a couple of weeks’ time. European Sidecar Championship: Markus Venus and Markus Eibl victorious in the Netherlands After the first event of mid-August in Germany, the last round of the European Sidecar Championship was raced in Eenrum, the Netherlands. A very competitive event with close racing. After the first heat, the teams placed 10th to 5th competed in the B Final, with the winner Wilfred Detz (KNMV) and second place Guillaume Comblon (FFM) joining the team placed 1st to 4th in the A Final. Vintage Road Racing European Championship: third and final round in Croatia The third and final round of the 2022 Vintage Road Race European Championship took place at Croatia’s picturesque former Grand Prix circuit Rijeka. The number of competitors was especially affected by the late change of date from September to August, but those that were there enjoyed one beautiful sunny day on Saturday and one wet day on when rain showers developed during the afternoon on Sunday to complete the season on a wet track. There was strong support from HMS and Italian riders, who dominated both the two races. Zoran Salopek won class 9a and the race outright whilst fellow HMS riders Franco Usmiani, Luciano Garlassi, Bert Heider and Felix Weizierl took the wins in classes 3, 6 and 7a respectively.
