Dragbike European Championship: Santa Pod opens the 2024 season The first round of the Dragbike European Championship and Dragbike Junior Cup took place from May 24th to 27th at Santa Pod Raceway, in Great Britain. An eventful event with tough weather conditions, after a sunny qualifying first day. The heavy rain of Sunday and Monday did not allow to race regular sessions and in order to finish the race for most classes the organizer had to reduce the distance to a shorter 1/8 mile, where the top speeds are at a safer level to get to a stop. In SuperTwin TopFuel won Marcus Christiansen from Denmark and runner-up Chris van Nimmen from Belgium. In ProStockBike P1 for Jörg Lymant from Germany and runner-up Bertrand Maurice from France. EMX65 / EMX85 and EMX Women' European Championship: the last rounds set the game for the Semi-Final challenges Triple action for the EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship with exciting races for the South East, South West and North Europe zone.   After the races in Bulgaria and Türkiye, the third and last round of the EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship South East zone took place in Bosnia Herzegovina, in the town of Kreševo, about 40 km from the capital Sarajevo. A weekend with heavy rain put the very young riders to the test with mud and cold weather. EMX85 Zone leader Sami Alexandru Dumitru (KTM) put into place another masterpiece with a double perfect win. The young Romanian rider outclassed the concurrence under the rain of the first heat, completing the weekend winning also Race 2 despite a crash during the first lap. Mini Enduro Cup: the season got underway in Italy The Mini Enduro Cup season kicked off in great style in Aviano, Italy, with two intense days of fighting. In mixed weather conditions the weekend started with a parade from the paddock to the main square of the town, escorted by the reigning European Champion Maurizio Micheluz. Nation by nation riders took to the stage, thus giving the official start to the event. The route: four laps each day with one Enduro Test of about six minutes and one Cross Test. Day 1 Italian rider Gioele Scibilia (Beta) won the Overall by just 10 seconds over French rider Emerick Vergote (Beta) at the end of a thrilling day. TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024 Wild Cards announced Picture copyright: Jarek Pabijan The FIM Europe and One Sport are glad to announce the riders who have received the permanent “wild cards” to compete in the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024. The first of them is Timo Lahti. The Finn with a Swedish passport was close to earning a promotion to the main series through the SEC Challenge, but in the extra race, after a solid battle, he had to acknowledge the superiority of Jevgenijs Kostigovs. It is worth mentioning that in 2020, Lahti stood on the podium of the TAURON SEC rounds held in Gniezno and Toruń (final). Anders Thomsen returns to the line-up of the Individual European Championship. For the past three seasons, the Dane has been a regular participant in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, in which, in 2022, he claimed victory during the round in Gorzów

EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship: Central Europe Zone and South East zone Thrilling weekend for the EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship with the third round of the Central Europe Zone and the second of the South East zone. After the first event in Denmark and the second in the Netherlands, the city of Reutlingen, Germany, hosted the third and last round of the Central Europe Zone. On Sunday, more than 60 riders were at the start for the final round of this zone, after a heavy-rainy Saturday. EMX65 / EMX85 European EMX85 Absent in the Netherlands, Victor Leppala (KTM) was back in action and set an amazing double win. In Race 1 the Belgian rider ruled from the start to the end, while current leader Hyden Statt (KTM) had to settle with P3. Second position for Danish rider Bertram Thorius (Yamaha). Race 2 saw an intense battle for the first positions.

Dani Muñoz (Gas Up Racing Team) did the double in the Moto2™ European Championship. In the European Talent Cup, Marco Morelli continued to show what a future talent he is with victory, while Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Yamaha GV Racing) cemented his position atop the title standings in the Stock™ European Championship. Moto2 In the Moto2 European Championship Casadei struggling at the start and Muñoz, Navarro and Garcia breaking away, however, this time they were joined by Eric Fernandez (FAU55 TEY Racing) and Surra. All five led the race at some point before Muñoz assumed control ahead of Navarro, and the two left the rest of the field in their wake and, in a repeat of Race 1, that’s how they finished. Supersport 300 Cup Supersport 600 Cup Superstock 1000 Cup: the season got underway in Croatia The first event of the Supersport 300 Cup, Supersport 600 Cup and Superstock 1000 Cup took place together with the Alpe Adria Championship at Automotodrom Grobnik in Rijeka, Croatia. SSP300 and SSP600 After 11 hard-fought laps, the chequered flag of Race 1 declared the win of Daniel Turecek. The Czech rider took the victory of the SSP300 ahead of the young Turkish rider Koruk Mert and Patrycia Sowa, who started from the pole positions after an amazing qualifying session. Turecek won also Race 2, this time ahead of Sowa and the young Hungarian rider Kristian Szilagyi. EMX125 and EMX250 European Championship: perfect win and red plate for Valin on home soil in EMX250, while Mancini set two in a row in EMX125 The fourth round of the EMX250 and fifth of EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing went to St Jean D'Angely during the Monster Energy MXGP of France. As we are now used to witness, the French fans show so much passion and enthusiasm for motocross and came in numbers, braving the changing weather conditions over the weekend which made this round another exceptional event.
