Dragbike European Championship and Dragbike Junior Cup: Santa Pod event crowns the champions Fourth and final round of the Dragbike European Championship and third for the Dragbike Junior Cup in Santa Pod, Great Britain. An exciting weekend, despite the very hard weather conditions. FIM-E Top Fuel Bike Dragbike European Championship After qualifying all eyes were on the opening round match-up between Rene van den Berg and Neil Midgley with the former needing a win to keep his championship hopes alive but the SharkAttack rider’s troubled weekend continued with the drivebelt departing barely turning a wheel in the burnout box. This meant that Rikard Gustafsson wrapped up his third European title thanks to qualifying points and a competition solo in the quarter finals. With that out of the way, the event win was the main focus. Gustafsson earned his final spot with a 5.8623/252.25mph to up his own European speed record

Trial European Championship: Italian round crows the champions European Championship Class event podium The Trial European Championship raced round five, the last of this 2022 season, in Piazzatorre, a small mountain village in the north of Italy and it hasn’t disappointed with a huge turn-out of fans ensuring an incredible atmosphere across the weekend. In the super-competitive Women’s Championship, a fourth position behind the podium was enough for Naomi Monnier (Gas Gas) from France to claim the title. In Piazzatorre the best was Huldeborg Barkved (Gas Gas) from Norway, who won ahead of British Kaytlyn Adshead (TRRS), second in the standings. Third step of the podium for Alice Minta (Scorpa), from Italy, while the bronze medal went to German Vivian Wachs (TRS). Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup: Enzo Valentim claims 2022 title In a dramatic final round of the 2022 Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup, raced at Magny Cours Circuit, France, Enzo Valentim was crowned European Champion. Fellow Brazilian Kevin Fontainha edged out Devis Bergamini in the battle for second in the standings, while Gustavo Manso closed the season with a double victory. Valentim’s title win means he will contest the 2023 FIM Supersport 300 World Championship with full support from Yamaha, while Fontainha earns a wildcard ride and, alongside Bergamini, a 50 percent discount for the next Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup campaign. Having qualified on pole position this weekend, Valentim led the 22 young riders away in Race 1, holding his advantage as they filed through the first corner. FIM Europe will join the 2022 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations! All is set! The 2022 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations will soon take place on September 24th and 25th in the United States. This year the iconic event will return to America’s legendary track of RedBud in Michigan, the host of the 2018 edition of the Monster Energy FIM MXoN that saw Team France win their fifth title on the bounce. Among the 34 different teams, this year there will also be a new team entering representing the FIM Europe with Bence Pergel, Julius Mikula and Pavlo Kizlyak. EMX250 European Championship: Rule Change The FIM-Europe and Infront Moto Racing wish to announce a rule change that will become effective in the EMX250 Championship from the 2023 season and onwards. Over the last several years, the pyramid scheme has seen great success with increasing number of entries in the European classes. Many of the current top stars in MXGP and MX2 have gone through the EMX ranks to become the front runners in the FIM Motocross World Championship which is exactly what the pyramid scheme aims to achieve, in order to have the best riders in the world competing on the biggest stage of motocross racing. The change in the EMX250 will be the age rule which looks to follow the natural evolution of the riding experience in the European Championship. EMX Quad European Championship: the title stays with Saar Last round for the EMX Quad European Championship in Kaplice, Czech Republic. A short four-round season with twelve races was nonetheless a good enough platform to deliver outstanding racing between the top two protagonists. Behind them there were equally tight finishes as several top quad exponents threatened their supremacy. The Kaplice track lent itself to the Quad brigade very well, and speeds were high. A good crowd watched both days, with qualifying and three races to entertain them. Qualifying The timed session to determine the gate was initially a four-way scrap between Kevin Saar, Christopher Tveraen, Joakim Granli and Rick Haverdil. The Dutchman sat out the final six minutes, giving the Polish rider Roman Gwiazda the chance to squeeze into fourth fastest. EMX Open European Championship: Butron celebrates the title with overall win in Turkiye The final round of the EMX Open European Championship in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, saw JD Gunnex KTM Racing’s Jose Butron celebrating the title from the top step of the podium as the Spaniard secured his second overall victory of the season! The Turkiye podium was the same as the championship top three, with Tomas Kohut of Osicka MX Team and Michael Sandner of Raths Motorsports joining the winner on the podium as they collected their second and third place trophies and silver and bronze FIM-Europe medals. In the first EMX Open race, it was Butron who led the way ahead of Sandner and Michael Ivanov. Though Sandner took away the lead from Butron on the opening lap.
