Supermoto S4 and SM Junior European Championship: Alex Ruiz is the new S4 European Champion The track of Castelletto di Branduzzo hosted an intense racing day which was full of emotions. Alex Ruiz Jemenez (L30 Racing TM Factory) was crowned Supermoto S4 European Champion, while in SM Junior Mathias Vetkin won the next to last event. S4 Race 1 Alessandro Morosi (Gazza Racing Honda) stretched away at the front as the red lights blinked off and was followed by Kevin Vandi (L30 Racing TM Factory), who was not able to get the best out of his third position. Tough start also for Alex Ruiz Jemenez (L30 Racing TM Factory), who lost several positions after the start. There was a coup de théâtre after the second lap when the race directors awarded a 20-second time penalty to Morosi because of his disallowed start. SEC - Final 4: Leon Madsen is the new champion! In the Final 4 of the SEC – the Speedway European Championship, held in Pardubice, Czech Republic, the Dane Leon Madsen made up the loss to Janusz Kołodziej and grabbed the gold medal of the Individual European Championship. Silver went to Kołodziej, while bronze to Mikkel Michelsen. Before the start of the meeting, Kołodziej was on the lead of the interim classification, and already in the first series he increased the advantage over Madsen. Both were scoring well, and ended the regular phase with 11 points each. That result meant, they compete in the 'last chance' heat, in which Madsen crossed the finish line as first, while Kołodziej was fourth. Yamaha R7 Super Final: Michael Girotti Crowned 2022 Winner at Montmeló After taking victory in the second of two thrilling races at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Italy’s Michael Girotti was crowned the 2022 Yamaha R7 Super Final winner, earning him a brand-new Yamaha R7 bike. Girotti’s 34 points across the two races was enough to see him win the FIM Superbike World Championship supporting event by four points from Spain’s Eric Molina, while Argentina’s Matias Perez completed the first overall R7 SuperFinale podium. Following earlier showers, the track dried out in Barcelona for the first race of the weekend, and pole-sitter Fabio Starnone led the field away. It’s back to Kramolin in the Czech Republic this coming weekend for the annual Sidecar and Quadcross of Nations tournament, and there is a real sense of excitement ahead of the event. The EMX Quad regulars are welcoming the all-conquering USA team back to do battle, whilst the FIM Sidecar Cross field includes the newly crowned 2022 Champions Etienne Bax and Ondrej Cermak. There will be a warm homecoming for the Czech passenger, celebrating his first world title. Women's European SS 300 Cup: sweet 3 for Neila Santos Beatriz Double round for the Women's European SS 300 Cup, hosted in Italy at Mugello Circuit, for the grand finale of this 2022 season. A great show with the presence of 9 Nations and 4 CONUs for a series that next year will officially become a Championship. Race 1 Fast start for Spanish Neila Santos Beatriz and Sara Sanchez, followed by home-rider Roberta Ponziani. At the end of an amazing trio challenge, Sanchez won race 1 and thanks to the best lap grab the leadership of the standing, leaving everybody breathless for Sunday’s final race. Race 2 Once more the challenge was a fight between Neila Santos Beatriz, Sara Sanchez and Roberta Ponziani. European U19 Individual Speedway Championship: Jesper Knudsen crowned Champion! Final round for the European Under 19 Individual Speedway Championship in Nagyhalász, Hungary. A thrilling open-doors event, even more challenging due to the weather conditions, with a huge audience of over 2.000 spectators. After Heat 12 two riders could be the new Champion: Jesper Knudsen from Denmark and Mathias Pollestad from Norway. In Heat 15 the two riders met face to face: after the second lap the Danish could get a bit of gap on the Norwegian, winning the heat. In Heat 14 Casper Henriksson from Sweden secured with a race win the third overall position. Due to the bad weather conditions, the Jury decided to stop the meeting after Heat 16.
