Enduro European Championship: Lorenzo Macoritto and Pietro Scardina win at season opener in Italy The 2023 Borilli Enduro European Championship kicked off in Fabriano, Italy, offering a stunning backdrop to the racing at round one. Providing typically Italian terrain, the special tests ensured challenging trails, with a 7 km long Enduro Test, a slippery Cross Test and a stony Extreme Test. Day 1 Italian rider Lorenzo Macoritto (Fantic) ruled the whole day getting the overall win with a 20-second gap on Matej Skuta (Beta), second, and the young Pietro Scardina (Fantic), third. Scardinia also won the Youth class, tying in second position the French Romain Dagna and in third compatriot Luca Colorio (Husqvarna). The Junior 1 winner was Riccardo Fabris (Husqvarna), while Skuta won the Junior 2. German flag waved on E1 podium: Andreas Beier (Beta) got the best class time ahead of Aleksander Bracik (Rieju) and Riccardo Celesti (Fantic).

Bajas European Championship: the first event gets under way in Spain Round one of the Bajas European Championship got under way together with the FIM Bajas World Cup, the Spanish National Championship and FIA European Cup for Cross-Country Bajas. Three days event through magnificent Badajoz, Alconchel, Santa Marta, Cheles and Zahinos cities, surrounded by Gwadiana river, natural border between Portugal and Spain. The schedule saw Friday’s Prologue of 5,90 km along Gwadiana River, Saturday two Selective Section (SS) of 133 km and 201 km, Sunday two Selective Section (SS) of 79 km and 76 km. Total length of the race: 495 km of SS and additional 487 km. Portuguese rider David Megre won ahead of Spanish Juan Jesús Sánchez and Freud González. EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship: the season gets underway With the first race of the South East zone and Central Europe zone during the Easter weekend the EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship officially kicked off. Pictures copyright: Toma Nedelea The 2023 South East zone was up and run with the first race of the season kicking things off in the quaint town of Krinides, close to the tourist Kavala, in Greece. Lighting up round one in exciting style, the first seasonal race out of six saw 20 riders fought in harsh weather conditions, with cold, clouds and strong wind. More than 1500 spectators were present during the weekend to enjoy the races, which were held in a friendly atmosphere. Aron Katona (KTM) of Hungary ruled the EMX85 class without big contest, managing to win in style every outing on the track. Second in both races was Sami Dumitru

EMX 125 European Championship: first for Mathis Valin The first round of the EMX125 presented by FMF took place in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and it was 737 Performers GASGAS’s Mathis Valin who clinched the victory with a strong performance throughout the whole round. Race1 MJC Yamaha Team’s Janis Martin Reisulis took the lead from the first lap in front of Mathis Valin as the youngsters found themselves making a good gap with the rest of the riders. Valin managed to stay in touching distance with race Reisulis for few laps but the leader increased the gap to 5 seconds to keep his distance and not get under pressure by Valin until the end. Reisulis won the race while Valin settled for a solid 2nd place after showing very good speed over the race. Behind them we thought that the 3rd place was promised to Fantic Maddii Factory Racing‘s Maximilian Werner as he was 3rd from lap 1 until 2 laps to

European Handy Bridgestone Cup: the season got underway in Spain The European Handy Bridgestone Cup raced the first round of the season in perfect conditions in the sunny Angel Nieto Circuit at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The event took place together with ESBK, the Superbike Spanish Championship, with the perfect organization of RFME, the Real Federación Motociclista Española. The Qualifying Practice was scheduled for Saturday morning and 10 riders reached the Qualification criteria for the races. Race 1 took place on Saturday afternoon in sunny and warm weather conditions. During the first laps Italian riders Lorenzo Picasso, Emiliano Malagoli and Ivo Arnoldi fired up a very close battle for the first position in class 1000. At the end of ten laps of challenges, Picasso took the win ahead of Malagoli and Jacopo Gullà. Arnoldi was first in Lesser Impaired category. Italian domination in class 600 too, with Maximilian Sontacchi first,
