German Franz Kadlec, Gas Gas, and British Emma Bristow, Sherco, are the two 2013 champions in respectively Youth and Women class in the UEM FIM Europe Trial Championship. This last round was held at Boras, Sweden. A two day-event where as tradition on Saturday all the stage was for the very young riders and for the women. One of the reasons for interest was to watch the duel among the two riders who shared the provisional standings before this race: Kadlec and British Jack Price, Gas Gas. Preparations for the 2014 FIM Europe Congress in Krakow (Poland)

On the 10th and 11th August, the FIM Europe Secretary General, Mr Alessandro Sambuco visited Warsaw and Krakow in order to start the organization of the 2014 FIM Europe Congress. Together with the PZM President, Mr Andrzej Witkowski, and with the PZM Vice-President and FIM Europe Treasurer, Mr Michal Sikora, it has been prepared the planning of the next important FIM Europe event, represented by its Congress, which will lead to the election of the new President and of all elective posts for the next four years. The Congress will take place in the beautiful city of Krakow, from the 3rd to the 6th of July 2014. The meetings as well as the General Assembly will be held at the Sheraton Krakow Hotel and, moreover, it has been foreseen also another possibility of accommodation at the Hotel Kossak, distant only 200mt. from the Sheraton. Presentation of the last round of Trial EC in Sweden

The European Trial circus is moving 300 km south from Oslo to Boras in Sweden, town famous for textile industry, not far from Goteborg for the last round of all its championships and cups. It will be again a whole week-end dense of trial. On Saturday in the two laps with 12 sections each the competition consist of, it will be up for grabs the Youth and the Women trophies. If between the women, British Emma Bristow, Sherco, with the help of her two previous convincing success, would clinch the title with the minimum effort, completely different is the situation in the Youth class, where two riders are sharing the top place in the overall standings: German Franz Kadlec and British Jack Price, both riding Gas Gas. Trial EC in Hvervenbutka (Norway)

Sweden Eddie Karlsson (JTG) after a hard-fought duel with Luca Cotone (Gas Gas), topped the podium, collecting his third win in a row in these series at the UEM FIM Europe Trial Championship, held at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway. Norwegian Ivar Norum (Beta) triumphed in the Junior and Dutch John Van Veelen (Ossa) was the best between the Over 40's. Being the odds-on favorite made Karlsson suffering for too much pressure. He fived soon a couple of sections in the first part of the lap, yielding the leadership to Cotone, almost unwilling to believe to have the chance to beat him on his land. One mistake at section 13 done by the Italian one, let the game still open at the turning point: 9 marks on the Cotone's card against the 11 of Karlsson, temporary tied with Norwegian Vegard Ib Andersen (Beta). The FIM Europe 80cc Youth Speedway European Championship was held this weekend in Elgane (Norway). After the two Semi-Finals, which saw the victory of Danish Patrick Hansen (followed by Danish Mad Hansen and Norwegian Lasse Fredriksen) in the first and Danish Fredrik Jakobsen )followed by Danish Jonas Jeppsen and Danish Jason Jorgensen) in the second, was held the final round that saw again the dominance of Danish riders with the victory of Jason Jorgensen, followed by Fredrik Jakobsen and Sam Jensen.   (FIM Europe Press Release 120/2013)

Fifth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Kegums (Latvia)

On the beautiful track Zelat Zirgs in Kegums (Latvia) was held fifth round of European Quad Motocross Championship. After heavy rain over the night the conditions on the track were very hard. In first heat won Dutch rider No.11 Mike VAN GRINSVEN in front of Championship leader Jeremie WARNIA No. 62, who crashed on the start race and started to ride on last place. Over the end of the race he managed to the second place, third finished rider No.92 Olli KOSKELA from Finland. In second heat Jeremie WARNIA lead from the start to the end of the race, second finished No.11 Mike VAN GRINSVEN and third again No.92 Olli KOSKELA from Finland. The provisional rankings with two rounds to go see the strong leadership of Warnia with 242 points in front of Koskela with 167 points. Women and Youth Trial EC in Hvervenbutka (Norway)

German Franz Kadlec (Gas Gas) and British Emma Bristow (Sherco) got two convincing victories in the second round of the FIM UEM Youth and Women championship respectively, held at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway. Both dominated in their classes making all their rivals to fight just for the runner up position. Kadlec, now finally sixteen years old , is the European Junior former champion and in his country nevertheless he is riding a 125 cc machine, he climbed the podium the week before in the top class. So he arrived here in great shape. He started soon very well scoring the best result in the first lap: just 8 points. But Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta, was not distant: only 4 marks more. Second final of Individual Speedway EC in Togliatti (Russia)

The Speedway European Championship - SEC Final 2 was organized in Togliatti, Russia in the beautiful "Anatoly Stepanov Stadion" of Mega Lada club. The meeting was perfectly organized and surrounded by sunny weather as well as ideal track conditions. The stadion was completely "sold out" and more than 15.000 spectateurs have been part of an unforgettable speedway night. After 22 exciting and dramatic heats, victory was taken by the local hero Emil Sayfutdinov and runner up was Nicki Pedersen, Denmark. On the third place was Grigory Laguta, Russia who had a very strong meeting as well. The whole event was broadcasted live in Eurosport all over the world and was a massive advertising for the speedway sport. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Sayfutdinov with 27 points, closely followed by Pedersen with 24 points. Presentation of the Norway round of Trial EC in Hvervenbukta

The FIM Europe UEM Trial Championship enters its final phase with two Nordic events in the next two week-ends. First appointment is at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway, exactly where in 1998 it was held a world championship round , in August, too. But none of the young generation engaged in disputing the current series was present at that time, for sure. There will be a whole week-end of competitions and the weather forecasts are not encouraging because rain is expected rain in both days. On Saturday again in the haunt the very young riders and the best European women to fight in their second round -out of three. It took more than two months since they met each other in the very wet round run at Tanvald in Czech Republic. Superstock 600cc European Championship and Junior Cup in Silverstone (Great Britain)

The sixth round of the Superstock 600cc and the 5th round of the Junior Cup were held this weekend in Silverstone (Great Britain). A shortened Superstock 600 Race 1 at Silverstone was won by Alessandro Nocco (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) as the Italian rider leading when the red flag came out on lap number seven, after the collision that involved Swiss Bastien Chesaux (EAB Ten Kate Junior Honda) and Gauthier Duwelz (MTM-MVR Racing Yamaha), causing the Belgian to crash on the main straight. As the final results were based on the positioning at the end of lap six, Christian Gamarino (Team Goeleven Kawasaki) scored an incredible podium finish - and best career result so far - ahead of Chesaux and Franco Morbidelli (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki).
