More than 100 registered riders to the RR European Championship

102 riders, representing 23 countries also from outside Europe, are now registered to the final of the Road Racing European Championship scheduled on the 4th, 5th and 6th of October in the Spanish track of Albacete. In the Moto 3 class, 4 riders are registered as reserves. It is possible that more riders could be added to the attached entry lists, considering that not all related national championships are finished yet and that wild cards should also be released at the incontestable discretion of RFME, Dorna and FIM Europe. FIM Europe President declared to be pleased for the number of registration requests arrived to the organisers, “this demonstrates furthermore the interest among riders of this championship, despite the many financial difficulties, which limit long travel and are a relevant hurdle for the participation of many young riders from Eastern Europe.” Here follows the updated (up to 20/09/2013) lists of the

Last round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Rudersberg (Germany)

The seventh, and final round in the Maxis European Quad Motocross Championship, was this weekend held on the track in Rudersberg (Germany). On a very wet track the Saturday’s training and qualifying, was done the Riders have difficult conditions to ride this. The pole position for the races on Sunday went to the already 2013 Champion Jérémie Warnia. In the first race Sunday, was the fastest rider Joe Maessen (Yamaha) followed by Manfred Zienecker (KTM), and on the third place came Olli Koskela. The second race started in heavy rain and after 20 minutes the race was canceled, Joe Maessen (Yamaha) was the first who passed the line and number two, Marc de Vries (VLS) and on the third place Oliver Vandendeijk (KTM). 6th Round of Supermoto EC in Triscina (Italy)

Sunny Triscina in Sicily welcomed the riders of the European SuperMoto Championship on the circuit Kartodrome Castelvetrano for the sixth round of the series this year. Having no big difference in the points of the top five riders the question for the weekend was who will be the new leader? So the first race saw the two KTMs of Devon Vermeulen (NED) and Toni Klem (FIN) finishing first and second with a minimal gap of 0.4 sec. Edgardo Borella (Yamaha) from Italy finished third. Malachi Mithchel Thomas (GBR, TM) made a mistake in the beginning of the race but that gave a chance to Aseri Kingelin (FIN, Honda) to show his skills and finish at the fourth place, four seconds after Borella. Dragbike European Cup Super Street Bike in Santa Pod (Great Britain)

The last round of the Dragbike European Super Street Bike (SSB) Cup was held this weekend in Santa Pod (Great Britain). We salute 18 year old Elvira Karlsson for being the first Pro Stock Bike racer outside North America for her less than 7 second run with her 6,998. This year’s championship as usual had the finals at Santa Pod Raceway in England. Unusual was that none of the classes had a champion before the race so the championship was still open and there was a battle for the points. 2013 European Champions were: • Super Street Bike: Garry Bowe (UK, Suzuki) • Pro Stock Bike: Fredrik Fredlund (FIN, Suzuki) for the second year in a row. • Super Twin Bike: Ronny Aasen (NOR, Zodiac) • Top Fuel Bike: Ian King (UK, Puma) for the second year in a row.   (FIM Europe Press Release 141/2013)

Sixth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad EC in Dardon Gueugnon (France)

The sixth round of the MAXXIS EMX Quadcross European Championship was held this weekend in Dardon Gueugnon (France). The dominance of French Jeremie Warnia for the whole championship was confirmed also in this round, with the French rider winning both heats. Thanks to these victories he became 2013 European Champion with one round in advance. In the first heat second position went to French Florent Ramel and third to French Yoann Gillouin. In the second heat second position went to Yoann Gillouin and third position to Dutch rider Mike Van Grinsven. Final round for EMX125 and EMX250 EC in Lierop (The Netherlands)

The final rounds of the European EMX125 and EMX250 championships took place today at the demanding circuit of Lierop, The Netherlands. Despite the treacherous conditions due to a substantial amount of overnight and early morning rain, the races were very spectacular. EMX125 class was left wide open this weekend when the 2013 champion Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass opted to make his debut in the EMX250 instead. It’s no secret the Dutch riders love the sand and it was even more evident when both Dutch riders Red Bull KTM Racing’s Davy Pootjes and Kemea Reytec V/d Laar Racing Team’s Frederik Van der Vlist led the way around turn one. As the battle between Pootjes and Van der Vlist began to heat up, Van der Vlist took the lead but crashed half a lap later allowing Pootjes to ride away with a fifteen second advantage. European Junior Cup and Cup of Nations in Nürburgring (Germany)

The 6th race of the PATA European Junior Cup, powered by Honda provided another thrilling climax to a race that nobody could predict the winner as the race entered its final lap. As the pack reached the final turn it was Bo Bendsneijder (RT Racing Support), at his second wildcard appearance in the series, who took the lead, holding a slender advantage to claim his 2nd win of the year. Kevin Manfredi (Newton Trasformatori Srl) and Robin Anne (Anne Formation) completed the podium. Sebastian Zielinski has won the Cup of Nations final race of the year at the Nurburgring. The wildcard from Poland led the entire race to finish ahead of Tommaso Lorenzetti and Daniel Tibaldo, both riders of the Nuova F.C.C. Corse Yamaha Team. Superstock 600cc European Championship in Nürburgring (Germany)

The seventh round of the Superstock 600cc European Championship was held yesterday in the German track of Nürburgring. The race was a classic of the Superstock 600 European Championship, made of close racing and incredible performances by the riders fighting for the top positions. Franco Morbidelli (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) came out on top at the end of a thrilling 3-way battle with team mate Alessandro Nocco and Christian Gamarino (Team Go Eleven Kawasaki), who completed the podium in second and third place respectively. The two Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI) representatives got a good start of the race and they look like they could pull away in the early stages, but halfway through the race Gamarino and Gauthier Duwelz (MTM-MVR Racing Yamaha) closed the gap with the leaders to get in the mix for the win. Second day of the Enduro European Championship in Uhlirske Janovice (Czech Republic)

At the second day at the European Enduro-Championship in Uhlirske Janovice you have had nearly the same winners in the overall. The Italian Maurizio Micheluz won – but this time in front of his countryman Andrea Beconi, who was third on Saturday. Now on position three a totally unknown rider: The German Andreas Beier, who is only a guest and this for had to start in the back of the field.
