Team Speedway U21 EC Semi-Final 1 in Plzen (Czech Republic)

Yesterday the semifinal for the Team Speedway U21 European Championship was held at the track of Plzen (CZE). Unfortunately the nominated team of Russia had withdrawn and had to be replaced by a mixed European squad. Together with teams coming from Finland, Sweden and the host nation Czech Republic they were racing for the last qualification place for the final. During the whole meeting a close fight was going on between Czech Republic and Sweden which saw the team of Czech Republic win on 45 points, just 2 points ahead of 2nd placed team Sweden on 43 points. Team Finland finished 3rd on 26 points and Team Euro with 4 points on 4th place. The spectators could see ambitious speedway youngsters fighting for their team and country against each other. This caused some accidents but without any injuries to the riders concerned. The team of Czech Repulic will now complete

Semi-Final 3 Individual Speedway EC in Zarnovica (Slovakia)

The Semi-Final 3 of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held today in Zarnovica (Slovakia). More than 3 000 spectators watched an impressive meeting with very good line up. Unfortunately meeting was finished after heat 20 before run-offs after heavy rain falls. Top five riders qualified for Challenge :Janusz Kolodziej,Peter Kildemand, Joonas Davidsson,Adrian Miedzinski and Tomas Suchanek. Cancellation of the Road Racing event in Albacete

The FIME has received the communication from the Circuit of Albacete cancelling the Road Race event envisaged for October the 5th. The reason for the annulation of the event, as well as the impossibility for it to be held for the years 2015-16-17, is due to the decision of the consortium of the Albacete Road Racing Circuit, which has approved its financial scheme in the following years. EMX65 and EMX85 SE zone and EMX Open in Mladina (Croatia)

The second event of the SE zone in classes EMX65, EMX85 and EMX OPEN was held in Croatian track Mladina in Jastrebarsko. Mladina track is known for very hard weather conditions and this time was the same as expected. On Saturday practices must be canceled because the track was so muddy that riding was impossible. Therefore Warm ups must be used as qualifications. Because of muddy conditions the track must be shortened. In first races the track was still muddy. In class EMX65 first race won Moldavian rider TIMUS Nikolai folowed home rider PISKOR Dominik on second and SAGMALIS Antonis from Greece on third. In second race SAGMALIS Antonis von in front of TIMUS Nikolai. Third finished home ridir PISKOR Dominik. Supermoto European Championship returns in Arad (Romania)

The second round of the European SuperMoto Championship was organized on the circuit of Arad, Romania, after ten year of absence in the calendar. The previous event was organized in 2004. In class SM2, Devon Vermulen (NED) with TM won both heats and kept the red plate of the Championship leader with fourth consecutive win since the beginning of the series this year. In Romania, Devon was followed by Yuri Guardala (ITA) with Honda, who saw the chequered flag in both heats at the second positions. The third place on the podium was occupied by Toni Klem (FIN) with KTM. In class SM85, Hakan Halmi (BUL) with KTM won both heats in the opening event of the season for the Junior riders Hakan was followed on the second place of the podium by the rider Simon Winter (DEN) with Honda who shared the same amount of points with Can Oncu

Semi-Final 2 Individual Speedway EC in Krsko (Slovenia)

The Semi-Final 2 of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held today in Krsko (Slovenia). 1500 spectators watched an impressive meeting., with 2 additional heats for reserve place and for 1st , 2nd and 3rd place. The unhappy man of the night was a home hero Aleksander Conda who broke a collarbone after winning his first heat. Qualified riders are: Maksims Bogdanovs, Przemyslav Pawlicki, Andriy Karpov, Jurica Pavlic, Hans Andersen, and the reserve is Daniel Nermark. Semi-Final 1 Individual Speedway EC in Dougavpils (Latvia)

The first Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held today in Dougavpils (Latvia). Michael Jepsen Jensen was flying to the victory in the semifinal 1 in Daugavpils, finishing on 14 points, the victory was almost secured before his last heat, only needing 1 point to take first place. More exciting was the result for the next places, before the last 4 heats, 8 riders was in play for the last 4 qualification places. After finishing the last 4 heats it was clear that 4 riders was equal on 11 point, but all riders was through to the ECC. Two riders was also equal on 10 points for reserve place. In first run-off Russian Renat Gafurov took a victory against Josef Franc and securing the reserve place. Final heat was a run off for 2-3-4 and 5 position. EMX250 and EMX300 in Talavera de la Reina (Spain)

The second round of the EMX250 and of the EMX300 Motocross European Championships were held today in the Spanish track of Talavera de la Reina (Spain). In the EMX250 class the overall winner were two riders British Steven Clarke (KTM) and French Sullivan Jaulin (Kawasaki) who both got one first and second position. In the provisional rankings Clarke leads with 83 points in front of British Ben Watson with 63 points. In the EMX300 class overall winner was also British Lewis Gregory (Yamaha) who won the first heat and was second in the second heat. Second overall position went to Italian Marco Maddii (KTM), who won the second heat and was third in the first round. The leader of the provisional rankings is Italian Samuele Bernardini with 88 points, closely followed by Marco Maddi with 85 points. The next round of both Championship will be held on the 25th of

EMX65 and EMX85 NW Qualification round in Aufenau (Germany)

The second round of the North West qualification leg of the EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc was held in Wächtersbach / Aufenau (Germany). On a very difficult track the four races was run, and in the first race EMX 85cc number one was Roan van de Moosdijk The Netherlands, with Jorge Prado Garcia (Spain) on the second place and number three was Adam Einarsson (Sweden). Honda Junior Cup in Imola (Italy)

The 3rd round of the FIM European Honda Junior Cup took place this weekend on the Imola circuit. 22 riders from 14 nations went to the start. The race developed into a very exciting competition. A group of 11 riders battled lap after lap for the podium. In round 6, there were still 10 and in the last lap it was only 7. The winner was Augusto FERNANDEZ in front of Javier ORELLANA and Josh HARLAND all Spanish riders. Augusto Fernandez (WIL Sport) has come out victorious at the end of an exciting battle for the victory in the Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda race at Imola.
