European Motocross 65cc and 85cc SE Second round in Bulgaria – 2nd day

Today the city of Troyan in Bulgaria hosted the final races of the second round of EMX 65cc and 85cc South East Championships. It was a sunny day and the races were spectacular. EMX 85cc - 1st race  After qualifying second, Croatien Hranic took the holeshot. Yesterday’s winner and homerider Dimitrov finished in second position and Bulgarian Georgiev in third. Qualification was respected during the race. Hranic and Dimitrov made a good show: close racing during the 20 minutes plus 2 laps, swapping positions a few times. The final winnerz of the race was Hranic followed at 3” by Dimitrov and by Georgiev. EMX 85cc - 2nd race On a dry and fast track, 7.000 spectators were witnesses of the holeshot of homerider Dimitrov before Hranic and Georgiev. Motocross European SE 65 cc and 85 cc Championship in Bulgaria

On the 2nd of May the Bulgarian city of Troyan hosted the qualifying sessions of the 2nd round of the SE European MX65 and MX85 Championship. On this beautiful, perfect prepared track, fifteen 65cc and eighteen 85cc boys met for a fighting weekend. The qualifying heats of EMX65 showed in the first positions three riders from different nationalities: Moldavian Cuharciuc, Roumenian Popovici and Bulgarian Grozdanov. In EMX85 the Bulgarians Dimitrov and Georgiev were followed by the Croatien Hranic.The qualifying race in EMX85 started with slight rain. At the start Georgiev crashed, while he was second. Hranic and Dimitrov were fighting for two laps, changing position all the time. Dimitrov was leading the pack untill the end although Hranic was closing up at the end and finished only 2 seconds later. The unlucky Georgiev managed to finish in 3th position. 2015 Edition of Motocross of European Nations in Italy

The start of the 2014 Motocross of European Nations, in Pacov (Czech Republic) FIM Europe is very pleased to announce the date and venue of the 2015 edition of the Motocross of European Nations, which will see young riders from all over Europe compete for their Nation. The 2015 edition will be held in Pietramurata, Italy, during the 10-11th October weekend. The riders taking part in the event will be divided in three different categories, 85cc, 125cc and 250cc, and besides racing for their Nation’s victory, they will also fight for an individual result. During the same race weekend, the women will compete in the third edition of the Women’s Motocross of European Nations.

European Individual Grass Track Semi Final 1 – Swingfield (England)

Spectators and fans were promised thrilling and exciting racing at Swing- field (England) over the weekend and that’s exactly what they got. Despite an overcast and drizzly day, the spectators who braved the weather were treated to excellent racing at the FIM Europe Individual Grass Track 1st Semi Final event.The eighteen competitors quickly adapted to the slick conditions, which produced some very fast and furious racing.As the meeting progressed, the track conditions improved, and it became extremely difficult to forecast who would be the eventual winner.With nine qualifying places (+ one reserve) being available to progress onto the European Final at Staphorst (Netherlands) in July, it was Dutchman Theo Pijper who won the ‘A’ Final and climbed onto the number 1 step on the winners rostrum. 2nd place went to Germany’s previous multi European champion – Stephan Katt, with 3rd place going to England’s Paul Cooper.The 2nd Semi Final with

European Motocross NW Championships EMX65, EMX85 and EMX Open in Slovakia

The third round of European Motocross NW Zone Championships was held this weekend in Senkvice, Slovakia. In the EMX65, in race 1 Constantin Piller from Germany won in front of Czech Radek Vetrovski and Dutch Kay Karssemakers. In race2, Constantin Piller managed to win again, this time in front of Karssemakers and of Czech Martin Venhoda. In the EMX85 class the winner of the first race was Mikkel Haarup from Denmark, with a large gap on Czech Petr Polak and English Christopher Mills. In race 2 Haruup won again, in front of Dutch Rick Elzinga and Czech Petr Polak.In the EMXOpen, Czech Martin Michek won race 1 beating his compratiots Marek Sukup and Petr Bartos. European Motocross Championship 2nd round in Holland - Day 2

The second round of the European Championships EMX250 and EMX125 took place along side the MXGP of Europe on the rugged sand circuit of Valkenswaard, The Netherlands. The opening round of the European Championship EMX300 added more than thirty super rad 300cc two-strokes to the venue, which along with the ninety plus 125cc’s in EMX125 championship left that sweet smell of pre-mixed fuel in the air.The conditions in Valkenswaard were extremely demanding which worked in favor of Wilvo Forkrent KTM’s Adam Sterry who dominated the EMX250, while Finnish star on the rise, Diga Racing KTM’s Miro Sihvonen took his first ever EMX125 overall and Wilvo Nestaan Husqvarna Racing’s son of a former world champion, Yentel Martens dominated the EMX300.EMX 300When the gates dropped for race two it was the 2014 vice EMX300 champion Marco Maddi who got off to the early lead but was passed almost immediately by Yamaha’s Mike

European Enduro Extreme in Valongo (Portugal)

The entry list of Extreme Valongo 2015 clearly shows the popularity of Extreme Enduro in Portugal. With the organization in charge of the club Melícias Team, this weekend Extreme Valongo was held, new evidence in the international calendar, which counts for the first European Cup. The Spanish Alfredo Gomez and Mario Roman were the biggest stars of the event and serious contenders to win this first edition of the race, together with the German Marcus Kehr, a rider who also has international experience. Also Portuguese riders are were able to race for the top positions, especially Henrique Nogueira, fast and experienced enough to bother best rated international drivers. European Moto2 and Superbike Championships in Algarve (Portugal) - Day 2

Under the attentive eyes of eight thousand five hundred fans, the European Moto2 and Superbike Championship season began with the meeting held at the Algarve International Circuit, in Portugal. With a strong headwind the first Moto2 European Championship race set off, with the leading positions being settled in the first few corners. While Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex), Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex), Xavi Vierge (SPA-Tech3, in the photo) and Luca Marini (ITA-Kalex) lapped relatively calmly up front, a fierce struggle for fourth slot was taking place just behind them between Tetsuta Nagashima (JAP-Kalex) and Eric Granados (BRA-Kalex). Five laps from the end, Alan Techer (FRA-Tech3) joined in the battle. In the second round of European Supermoto Championship, in Ottobiano (Italy), Marc Reiner Schmidt once again rode immaculately in S2 to extend his lead. Before the start of the season you would have been hard pressed to pick a potential winner in S2, but after the first round of the European Championship in Spain, and after his dominant performance in timed training, there was no mistaking the intent of Marc Reiner Schmidt who once again proved why he will be the man to beat in 2015.
