European Vintage Regularity Cup at Slovakiaring (Slovakia)

The circuit of Slovakia hosted the European Vintage Regularity Cup, which saw 74 riders in five different classes. The day started with a temperature of 4 degrees above zero for the practice, but in the afternoon the races were held with an Autumn sun that allowed the execution without any problems. The participants praised the excellent work of Peter Balaz, who once again created an event able to catch the interest of riders coming from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany and Hungary. Class A1 (Motorcycles up to year 1949, 125cc up to year 1975 and 50cc up to year 1988) was won by Frank Seidl in front of Lubomir Kamenar and Karel Kupra;   Class A2 (175cc, 250 cc up to year 1975) was won by Bernd Pollmann in front of Frank Seidl and Stefan Vacula;       Class B (350cc, 500cc up to year 1975) was won by Jan Cizek (in the

Meeting of the Nordic Motorsport Council in Copenhagen (Denmark)

The traditional meeting of NMC (Nordic Motorsport Council, one of the six Regional Associations of FIM Europe) took place from 10-11 October in the Scandic Hotel Sydhavnen in Copenhagen. The venue of the meeting changes on a yearly basis; in 2015 the "Denmarks Motor Union - DMU" was the host, while next years meeting will take place in Finland. DMU President Jorgen Bitsch welcomed some 80 participants from the five member Federations Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and - as a guest - the representative from Estonia.Meetings were held in the following disciplines, discussing the 2015 season as well as the activities in the Nordic Championships in 2016: Classic Road Racing, Drag Racing, Enduro, Motocross, Snowcross, Road Racing/Minimoto, Track Racing/Speedway, Trial and Supermoto.Meetings of the Presidents and Secretary Generals completed the agenda.In the framework of the weekend an important meeting on the subject "Road Safety for Motorcyclists" took place,

Motocross of European Nations in Pietramurata (Italy) – Day 2

PIETRAMURATA (Italy), 11 October 2015 – It was an epic end to the season for the Italian Federation as their young guns, Ivo Monticelli, Morgan Lesiardo, Emilio Scuteri and Gioele Palance wrapped up the 2015 Motocross of European Nations title. Meanwhile the female Italian team added to the hype of the Italian crowd as Kiara Fontanesi and Francesca Nocera dominated the Women’s Motocross of European Nations to make this weekend, at the picturesque circuit of Pietramurata in Italy, an all-Italian affair. 125cc & 250ccWhen the gates dropped it was the Frenchman Alexis Verhaeghe who took the holeshot but was passed almost immediately by Team Sweden’s Alvin Ostlund. FIM Europe Supermono Cup in Assen (The Netherlands)

The European Supermono Cup was held at Assen, NL together with the BeNeCup under the name Battle of Nations. The event had many nations competing in the different classes and 21 riders participated. The weather was slightly cold but it was a good race weekend. Race 1 (Saturday): Lukas Wimmer, the championship leader, took the lead before Josef Frauenschuh and Jerry van de Bunt on third place. Jerry overtook Josef on lap 6 and Lukas had a comfortable ride to the win, before Jerry van de Bunt and Josef Frauenschuh. Ari Voss who started from third place on the grid crashed at the first lap. Race 2 (Sunday): in the morning it was cold, just below zero, but the race was at 13.10 and the temperature was slightly better, approx 10 degrees. On the Moto Cross Track of Schwedt, in the North Eastern Part of Germany, called ‘Uckermark’ this year’s combined Moto Cross Team event for Side Cars (Open SCXoEN) and for Quads (QXoEN) was held. 14 Side Car Teams entered and 13 are present with 3 Sidecars in each national Team. For the first time a team from Australia participates in this Top Team event of World Sidecar Sport, together with the leading European Nations Netherlands, France, Belgium and the fast followers. 16 Quad Teams entered and 15 are present with as well 3 Quads in each national Team. This is the first time ever that more Quad Teams participate than Sidecar Teams. PIETRAMURATA (Italy), 10 October 2015 – After somewhat of a gloomy day yesterday, the weather gods were onside today, delivering decent temperatures and sunshine, which left the circuit of Pietramurata in prime condition for the Motocross of European Nations qualifying races where Team France went pole. It was a double whammy for the Italians today as their women’s team of Kiara Fontanesi and Francesca Nocera also dominated their qualifier to go pole in the Women’s Motocross of European Nations category.125cc & 250ccRight from the drop of the gate the Italians were quick to stamp their authority. European Indoor Super Enduro in Lodz (Poland)

The European Indoor Super Enduro is back with the race at Lodz, in Poland, the next December 5th. It will be the Atlas Arena in Lodz, under the direction of Lódzki Klub Motorowy, to host the FIM Europe Super Enduro Cup, a single race of indoor enduro open to riders from European Federations, who will compete in a race with the best world specialists. The event, in fact, is valid for the FIM World Championship Super Enduro, too. The final 13 lap race in the 2015 FIM Europe Superstock 600cc Championship was won in style by Augusto Fernandez (Pata Honda Junior Team). Axel Bassani (Berclaz Racing Team) took the lead on lap 2 and was never headed, until a heart stopping moment on lap 7 saw him relinquish a 1.5s lead to Augusto Fernandez, the Spanish rider claiming an emotional first victory in the series ahead of podium debutant who clung on for 2nd at the flag.In wet and slippery conditions following an earlier downpour, the race saw many of the leading protagonists fall out of contention including the riders fighting for 2nd in the overall standings.The final podium position went to Turkish rider Toprak Razgatliogliu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing), the 2015 champion riding a sensible race to claim another podium finish.The top 6 was completed by Luca Vitali (G.A.S Racing Team), Ilya Mikhalchik (DS Junior Team) and Hugo
