Sidecarcross and Quadcross of European Nations at Gueugnon (France)

The track of Gueugnon Dardon in France hosted the Sidecarcross and Quadcross of European Nations. In Sidecarcross, thanks  also to the good weather, 13 motivated teams showed a magnificent racing day. The Belgian team with Hendrickx–Van den Bogaart won the  last race and with their team mates Adriaenssen Daiders and Vanluchene–Kurpnieks they won the overall. The team from the Netherlands Bax–Bax managed to score a personal win and a second place in the overall. With two second places the Czech Cermak brothers placed the team in the third place of the overall.   Twelve Quadcross teams took part to the race. After two of the three races everything was still possible. France, Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia and Great Britain were fighting for the win in race three. The race was stopped after 2 laps because of a false start. All possible winners changed positions several times during the race. At the end,

The opening of the new building of KTM Motorsport in Munderfing was celebrated in style. The brand new futuristic building contains all the departments of KTM, off-road as well as on-road. KTM CEO Stefan Pierer and Head of Motorsport Pit Beirer welcomed a big number of factory riders, KTM legends like Heinz Kinigadner and Marc Coma, team managers, business partners as well as Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo and FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb. Moto Tour Assistant

   The first Professional Level Moto-Tour Assistant Training Course was held on September 3rd at Honda Safety Center in Barcelona, Spain. After theoretical training provided by FIM Europe Touring Commission members - Nils Freivalds, Laurynas Baltrunas and Panagiotis – Panos - Kalaitzis on tour organization, all the attendees warmed up for motorcycle practice training, which was split in 3 groups. The Honda Safety Institute instructors are also experienced off- and on-road riders and kept an eye on all trainees - Moto-Tour Assistants to make sure they improved their riding performance. According to Honda instructors, the skill level of trainees was unusually high, compared to overall public, including many riding test instructors. There was a positive remark on the initiative to provide such a training and improve the riding skills, techniques and pass various exercises that should be a “must” for individuals who are planning to run - or are already running

European Moto2 and Superbike at Jerez (Spain) Day 2

More than 12,000 spectators came to the Circuito de Jerez to witness Carmelo Morales (SPA-Yamaha) holding on to the Superbike European Championship title after winning both today’s races. In Moto2™ Alan Techer (FRA-T Pro NTS) achieved his first victory of the season and the first for the NTS T Pro bike. Alan Techer (FRA-NTS T Pro, photo1) gave the NTS T Pro manufacturer their first win in the Moto2™ European Championship after beating Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex) in an intense duel. Techer established himself as race leader in the first few laps followed by Steven Odendaal, Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex), Dimas Ekky (INA-Kalex) and Augusto Fernández (SPA-Tech 3).The reigning Moto2™ European Championship champion Odendaal passed Alan Techer to lead the race on the eighth lap while behind Augusto Fernández took Dimas Ekky, and Eric Granado (BRA-Kalex) joined the chasing group. European Moto2 and Superbike at Jerez (Spain) Day 1

Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex) in Moto2™ and Maximilian Scheib (CHI- BMW) in Superbike will head tomorrow’s grids in their respective categories in the sixth round of the FIM CEV Repsol this weekend at the Circuito de Jerez. In Moto2™, Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex, photo1) earned his third pole of the season. The reigning champion of the Moto2™ European Championship put up the best time in QP1 of 1:44.194 to head the grid along with Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex) and Alan Techer (FRA-NTS T Pro). This process, which has already seen the positive contribution of SVEMO and of the same FFM, certainly will go ahead and FIM Europe has set itself the goal of developing initiatives to promote better administrative organization, especially in favour of the developing Federations.At the end of the meeting, Alessandro Sambuco declared: "The success of this project is definitely linked to the contribution that the more structured Federations will

European Baja Championship at Samokov (Bulgaria)

Samokov, in Bulgaria, hosted the final round of the European Baja Championship. Day 1 - Due to safety reasons in day one of Baja Bulgaria only the prologue was done and SS2 had to be cancelled due to safety reasons -  it was not possible to start in time to avoid darkness.Quad 1 - Georgi Gochev BUG/BMF Honda TRX 450 Quad 2 - Emil Komarovski BUG/BMF Yamaha Raptor 700 UTV-T3 - Nikolay Gochev BUG/BMF Polaris  RZR 1000 Day 2 - The winners of the various categories were:Quad 1 - Georgi Gochev BUG/BMF Honda TRX 450 Quad 2 - Bogdan Zyrin UKR/FMU RENEGADE 1000UTV-T3 - Nikolay Gochev BUG/BMF Polaris  RZR 1000 Day 3 - In Quad 1 Krasimir Kolev was the fastest rider, but the the title was already assigned to   Pawel Otwinowski.In Quad 2 Iaroslav Tovstyk was the fastest rider of the day but thewinner of the  title is Bogdan Zyrin.

Supermono European Cup at Hockenheim (Germany)

The circuit of Hockenheim, in Germany, hosted the last round of the Supermono European Cup.In race one at the start the pole position rider Lukas Wimmer (AUT) took the lead before Jerry van de Bunt (NED). A good position at the end of race one this weekend would guarantee van de Bunt the European Cup title, so everybody expected he would ride safely, even if among the top riders. Which he did not do. Ezequiel Iturrioz (ARG) started from the 3rd place on the grid and during lap 7, when Josef Frauenschuh (AUT) had to retire, due to technical problems when he was second, Iturrioz gained one position and after overtaking Lukas Wimmer won the race, with Jerry van de Bunt in 2nd and David Legalle (FRA) in 3rd place.
