20161029 ECS Aragon Race-32 low
The European Classic Series ended with great success yesterday at Motorland Aragon in Spain.Good weather, a fabulous track, perfect organization and an exciting race, were the ingredients that made this event a perfect finish for the DG Sports promoted cup. After 4 hours of intensive and exciting racing, with only minor accidents without any problems for the riders, the winners were Hubin and Fastre from Team Force for the Maxi Classic class; Hollands and Schoens from Team 4Q Racing in Classic 1000, and Maestrini, Gabellini and Catani from Team Amici Miei in the 750TT class. But the race was dramatic as an endurance race should be. Team Force, Team Taurus, Roadrunner Team and Neate Racing were all trying to beat Sweatshop Phase One II who was leading the championship after the first two races of the ECS. But Mertens and Simpson were strong and not willing to lose their lead.

Because of an injured shoulder the Brit could not take part to the round in Latvia, and probably this is why he missed the title on the Junior E2/E3 class, where he finished second behind the new champion Nicolas Pellegrinelli from Italy. For another Italian rider, Guido Conforti, the third place was enough to clinch the title in the senior E1 class in front of Jonathan Rosse from Switzerland.A real thriller happened in the E2 class, where the defending champion Tom Sagar quitted the race at the first day. On the morning of the Day2 the bike of the new leader Jaromir Romancik did not start in time – and the Czech had to start with 10 seconds

European Supercross at Arnhem (The Netherlands)

FPPH7095
A great success for the first edition of Arnhem Supercross, in front of a great public who saw the exciting races comfortably seated on the steps of Gelredome. The major contenders in the finals were the two world champions Tim Gajser on Honda HRC and Factory Yamaha rider Romain Febvre, but the American Malcolm Stewart (Honda Geico) certainly was not watching the two Europeans, and won the second final of the Supercross category.
