European Supermoto S3 and Junior at Pleven (Bulgaria)

The track of Pleven, in Bulgaria, hosted the European round of Supermoto S3 and Junior in front of 1000 spectators and with arounf 12 degrees and rainy weather. S3 Qualification was won by Hakan Halmi (KTM, BUL) with a time of 1:29:310, who made a gap of 2.2 secs to the runner up Alex Dimitrov (KTM, BUL) with 1:31:588. Third was the rookie for the class Dimitar Petrov (KTM, BUL) with 1:33:316. The Qualifying practice for S3 was red flagged 12 minutes after its start due to thunderstorm and very heavy rain. Sunday's weather was cold (10-12 degrees) with rain through the whole day which resulted in more complicated racing conditions. European Enduro Championship at Gouveia (Portugal) - Day2

After heavy rain the conditions of the first round of the European Enduro Championship at Gouveia, in Portugal, changed over the night and the track switched into a good shape today. Without the dust, senior E3 class Italian Oscar Balletti took the overall win in front of the reigning champion, his compatriot Maurizio Micheluz. In the first day, the Swedish rider had big disadvantages through the dust. European Superstock 1000 at Assen – Medical Update

Following an incident during today’s European Superstock 1000 Race at the TT Circuit Assen, Marvin Fritz (Bayer-Bikerbox Yamaichi) is in a stable condition at a local hospital in The Netherlands. The session was red flagged on the opening lap after the German rider was involved in a crash with four riders at turn 16. Two medical cars and then two ambulances were immediately on the scene to treat the 24 year-old, where every possible procedure was undergone in order to stabilize and assist Fritz by TT Assen Circuit. Due to the severity of his condition, the decision was taken to transfer Fritz by road to the nearby Hospital, Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen. After further examination, Fritz is now in a stable condition and has regained consciousness. European Moto2 at Albacete (Spain)

A new FIM CEV Repsol season got under way this weekend at the Circuito de Albacete. After a few days of bad weather the sun finally came out allowing 11,000 spectators to enjoy the intense racing on display. In the Moto2 European Championship, World Championship rider Hafizh Syahrin (Petronas Raceline, in the photo) fulfilled pre-race predictions by leading from start to finish. Behind the Malaysian rider came Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS), taking a well-deserved podium in his debut in the category. Augusto Fernández (Easyrace Moto2 Team) ended up in third position in his debut on the Suter after racing last season with Tech3. Augusto Fernández ended up snatching the third position on the last lap from defending champion Steven Odendaal (NTS Sportscode T. Pro), who finished fourth ahead of Eric Granado (Promoracing). The first race in EMX 65 class was lead by Italians Ferruccio Zanchi and Alessandro Gaspari. Third place went to French rider Mathis Valin. The second holeshot went to Italian Alessandro Gaspari but Ferruccio Zanchi lead again 7,37 sec ahead of Alessandro Gaspari and 9.09 sec of Slovenian Jaka Peklaj. The overall winner of the event was Italian Ferruccio Zanchi in front of Alessandro Gaspari and of French Mathis Valin. Race1 in EMX 85 was lead by Spanish David Braceras. Yesterday’s  qualification winner  Eddie Jay Wade from Spain was out due the technical problems. Second and third place to Italian riders Andrea Rossi and Pietro Razzini. European Trial at Bilstain (Belgium) – Day 2

Spanish Arnau Farrè (Gas Gas) put all British riders behind in Day2 at Bilstain, in Belgium, for the third round of  the European Championship. Italians won in the other classes: Manuel Copetti (Vertigo) and Valter Feltrinelli (Beta). Soon the first two riders in the overall standing Farré and British Toby Martyn (Vertigo) justified their positions presenting their first lap cards with 15 marks each, tied at the top of the provisional standing Iwan Roberts (Beta) was leading the group of chasers with 22 mistakes. Behind him his compatriot Jack Peace (Gas Gas) with 23 and Italian Pietro Petrangeli (Sherco) on 24. The first round of  EMX SW Zone EMX65/85 European Championship started today in sunny Gazzane di Preseglie, in Italy with 77 riders in EMX 65 and 49 in EMX 85. The weather conditions early in the morning were really good but the ground was still muddy. After few hours it was sunny and windy. The track was well prepared. In EMX 65 qualification race the first position went to the young Italian rider Alessandro Gaspari  6,72 sec ahead of his compatriot Andrea Valetti and 12,11 sec in front of Spanish rider Alejandro Perez. In EMX 85 group A the first position went to young Spanish rider Eddie Jay Wade, almost 11 sec ahead of Italian rider Matteo Luigi Russi. Third position for Spanish Guillem Farres. European Enduro Championship at Gouveia (Portugal) - Day1

The first round of the European Enduro Championship started today at Gouveia, in Portugal. On the demanding track, among rocks and stones and a lot of dust, the French junior rider Theophile Espinasse took the first victory. The Sherco rider won all the first five tests and finished 25,6 seconds in front of Italian Oscar Balletti. The latter had an advantage from the technical problems of Anthony Geslin – the French was second until but he had technical problems at the last timecheck and dropped down to 14th position. European Trial at Bilstain (Belgium) – Day 1

British Iwan Roberts (Beta), French Kieran Touly (Sherco) and German Markus Kipp (TRS) are the winners in the first day of the event held in the historic venue of Bilstain, Belgium, second round of the FIM Europe Championship and Cup. The schedule foresaw 15 sections to be repeated twice, all in the famous Domain Trial and Enduro, a private area belonged to Crosset family. And more or less the obstacles chosen were the same as those faced for years by the world top riders in the seventies and eighties. Many big rocks, sometimes quite difficult because covered by mud. This time, with the sun shining almost all day long, all the sections were easily overcome by any competitor and in any class.
