125cc Youth Track Racing European Cup at Torun (Poland)

The 125cc Youth Track Racing European Cup was held in the big stadium of Torun, in Poland. 24 riders took part to the event, which as run on a perfect track after a sunny day with rain shower at the end of the practice. The meeting was held with the excellent work of the club staff and it was a great event for the future talents. The heats were interesting and in the whole day there were 3 crashes with no physical injuries for the riders. Filip Sifalda from Czech Republic claimed his victory after he won the start of the A final. He was the rider who did dominate all the heats as he did win all his races. There was a close fight for place 2-4 and Daniel Klima, from Czech Republic, too, gained the second position in front of Bartosz Tyburski from Poland.

EMX 65 and 85 and Open at Kovel (Ukraine)

The 3rd round in EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc in the NE Zone and the 7th round in EMX Open were carried out in Kovel, Ukraine. On a well prepared track, with rainy weather the free Practice, pre qualifying practice and qualifying races were held on Saturday. In the EMX 65cc qualifying race the winner was Maksymilian Chwalik from Poland who the pole position for the Sunday races, in front of Richard Paat from Estonia and Janis Kubulins from Latvia. In the EMX 85cc class in qualifying the fastest rider was Romeo Karu from Estonia in front of Mairis Pumpurs from Latvia and Edvards Bidzans from Latvia. In the Open class the first rider over the finish line of the qualifying race was Dmytro Asmanov from Ukraine followed by Kristers Drewinskis from Latvia and Volodyyr Tarasov fromUkraine. FIM Europe Road Safety Conference – Live Streaming

fiAfter the successful live-streaming of last year, this year the live-streaming will begin already today at 16.30 with the Road Safety Conference at the following link: https://youtu.be/4906hEmM3jc. Tomorrow at 14.00 there will be the live-streaming of the General Assembly. Both the videos of the Road Safety Conference and of the General Assembly will be then available for free on demand on FIM Europe website. As usual, particular attention will be given to Safety and today the 11th edition of the Road Safety Conference will be held, which traditionally takes place yearly during the FIM Europe Congress. The topic of this year’s conference will be: “Sharing the road with Robots: when Motorcycling Meets Automation”, dealing with the development of electronics and technology. FIM Europe Congress in Rome (Italy) – Day1

The FIM Europe Congress kicked off today in Rome, Italy, with the scheduled meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Commissions. In the Sporting Commission relevant issues were discussed with the Chairmen of the various Commissions. The reports of the latest activities of all disciplines were analysed at the presence of FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb, of FIM Europe 1st Deputy President and Chairman of Sporting Council Martin de Graaff, of Michal Sikora, FIM Europe Treasurer. Today a meeting with the Non Sporting Commissions was held, to analyse the activities of the latest period in order to share the same level of know­ledge of the various issues. It was a good occasion to arouse a brainstorming, so that every chairman could bring his knowhow and enrich the discussion with his point of view. FIM Europe Congress in Rome (Italy) – Preview

Italy is going to host the 2017 FIM Europe Congress and Road Safety Conference, which will be held from Friday June 29th to Saturday July 1st in Rome, at the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel (in the photo). The meeting is to host FIM Europe delegates from European Federations to discuss and approve decisions regarding FIM Europe management and 360° issues in the field of Motorcycling: from Sport to Safety, to Touring. The program of the Congress foresees the meeting of the Sporting Council and of the Non-Sporting Council on Thursday, of the Management Council and of the Secretaries General on Friday, and again the Sporting and Non-Sporting Council meeting on Saturday, followed by the Management Council and by the General Assembly, with the Official Dinner to conclude the Congress on Saturday evening. European Stocksport 300 at Slovakiaring – Day2

The track of Slovakiaring, in Slovakia, hosted the Day 2 of European Stocksport 300 championship. Daniel Blin won race2 in front of Renzo Ferreira: the winner of race1 was fighting for the win until the last corner but he finished second. Third position for Vojtech Schwartz ahead of Peter Kacaba was fourth. The race was interrupted because of the heavy crash of Tarik Van Der Merwe, without consequences for the rider.

European ITP Quad championship at Vellahn (Germany)

This weekend the second round of the EMX ITP Quad Championship was held at Vellahn, in Germany, in front of around 3000 spectators. There were 15 riders taking part to the event, representing 9 countries. On Saturday it was cloudy, with about 18 degrees. On Sunday morning it rained heavily, which made the track very soft. The weather was bad all day long. In both races there was the same podium - the winner was Kevin Saar from Estonia in front of Janis Tanhuanppa from Finland and third was Roman Gwiazda from Poland. Kevin Saar won also the overall in front of Tanhuanppa and Gwiazda. The next round will be in Latvia, on 12-13th August.

European Under 21 Individual Speedway at Macon (France)

The track of Macon, in France, hosted the U21 Speedway Individual Championship. It offered spectacular racing. The track was in very good conditions, and provided the riders a perfect stage, with around 2000 spectators, in a fine, sunny day. The riders really fought hard to reach the top 5 to qualify for the final. The winner of the event was Polish rider Dominik Kubera who dropped only 1 point in his second race to his rival who finished second in the overall, Robert Lambert for Great Britain. There was a run-off to solve the third position: 3 riders finished with 11 points. The surprise of the night Daniel Bewley, from Great Britain, won the run-off after a really hard fight with Rafal Karczmarz, from Poland, who finished fourth in the overall. The last rider in the run-off was Davis Kurmis, Latvia, who will be ready for the final on home

European Stocksport 300 at Slovakiaring (Slovakia) - Day1

Renzo Ferreira from Brasil won race1 in European Stocksport 300 at Slovakiaring, in Slovakia. At the beginning of the race it was a pack of five riders and in lap 3 there was a contact between Daniel Blin and Peter Kacaba on the start/finish straight. Kacaba crashed and the race for him was over. Daniel Blin and Renzo Ferreira switched their positions during the race and the final fight was up the last lap when Ferreira overtook Blin, but Daniel Blin was the fastest at last corner and he crossed finish line in front of Ferreira. Immediately after the race direction decided to disqualify Daniel Blin for dangerous riding, so at the end Renzo Ferreira is the winner of the race in front of Vojtech Schwarz and Taric Van Der Merwe.
