European Cross Country Cup at Tofta Skjutfalt Gotland (Sweden)

The Swedish round of the European Cross Country Cup took place at Tofta Skjutfalt Gotland and saw the participation of 3085 riders from 19 Countries. The weather conditions were not pleasant - only 2 degrees and a strong wind (20 meter per second), plus rain. The race could be held regularly thanks to the work of 200 volonteers. Photo credit: Kalle Lundstedt/Race Magazine All the riders had to face 3 hours ride. The winner was Albin Elowson, the only rider who started the 7th lap (in photo3). All the other riders made 6 laps or less (the track was 22 km long). Albin Elowson took home this year's Gotland Grand National. It was the first Swedish victory since 2010 at Tofta. "I do not know what to say. It's unreal, it's like a dream. At last I showed what I can do», stated Elowson, who was really nervous in the brutal conditions.

1st session of the FIM Europe Sporting Commissions in Fiumicino

The FIM Europe Commission Meetings started today with the first session of Sporting Commissions, which will be followed by the second session in November and then by the Non-Sporting Commissions next January. The 1st session of the FIM Europe Sporting Commissions in Fiumicino (Italy) The meeting, with new members taking their place along-side reappointed members, is being held, as usual, at the Tiber Hotel in Fiumicino, near Rome (Italy). In this first session there were the meetings of the Road Racing, Motocross & Snowcross, Enduro & Rally and Vintage Commissions. The meetings saw the implementation of the proposals by the various Commissions for the upcoming 2019 Sporting Season. FIM Europe meets the Moldovian President and the FMRM

This week FIM Vice President Andrzej Witkowski and FIM Europe 1st Deputy President Martin de Graaff visited the Moldovian Federation FMRM. The first meeting was held with Victor Golovicichin, President of the Federation and Secretary General Anastasia Sitnic. The Federation is ambitious and would like to organise international motocross events. Motorsport is developing fast, mainly in enduro and motocross. 2019 FIM Europe Congress in Zagreb (Croatia)

Yesterday the first organizational meeting took place in Zagreb in sight of the 2019 FIM Europe Congress. The FIM Europe delegation composed of the Treasurer Mr. Michal Sikora and Secretary General Mr. Alessandro Sambuco was welcomed by HMS President Mr. Stjepan Peršin, Secretary General Mr. Ivan Lafter and Secretary Mrs. Renata Stamicar. The Congress will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in the Center of Zagreb but other alternative solutions for the accommodation at walking distance will be provided. During the morning a visit to the Croatian Olympic Committee was held to introduce the Congress to the Secretary General Mr. Josip Čop. 2019 European Motocross Championship Calendar Updated

With the conclusion of the 2018 season Youthstream and FIM Europe announce the calendar for the 2019 European Motocross Championship, in the context of World Motocross Championship. As previously announced there will be MXGP’s return to Great Britain at the Matterley Basin circuit, Valkenswaard for the MXGP of the Netherlands, and the MXGP of Trentino at Pietramurata. The series will then return to the MXGP of Lombardia in Italy, as the MXGP of Russia will be held in June. Between the rounds of Italy and Russia MXGP will return to Agueda, Portugal for a third year in a row along with a second consecutive year at the MXGP of France in Saint Jean d’Angély. The MXGP of Latvia and the MXGP of Germany will follow Russia. The familiar track of Loket in the Czech Republic is scheduled before the testing sands of Lommel, Belgium. The season will go on for

FIM Europe and Youthstream explain the changes to the Regulations for the 2019 FIM Europe Motocross European Championships Youthstream and FIM Europe work for the overall interest of the sport, therefore some slight adjustments will be made to the some of the 2019 European Championship Regulations as explained below. The European Championships were mainly created to help youth grow and help them prepare for MX2 and then MXGP and be competitive in these classes. This pyramid system is working well because together with this fact and by having the youth race on the same tracks and same weekends as MXGP and on tracks which are very technically demanding it has permitted all these riders to grow and implement their skills. Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) was proclaimed champion of the Moto2™ European Championship in the penultimate round of the FIM CEV Repsol this Sunday at the Circuit de Albacete. On a day marked by heavy rain, Alex Millán (Aro Racing) won from pole position in the European Talent Cup. Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) won the first Moto2™ race; the second race was stopped on the tenth lap due to weather conditions and Luis Pomares (Pinamoto RS) adjudged the winner. In the second day of the European Tout Terrain-Rally Cup in Sicily Jacopo Cerutti (photo1) becomes champion of the Italian Motorally. Four titles in sequence fulfill him and his CF Racing Team. 310 the kilometers faced by the 125 competitors and 2 selective sectors of 62 and 26 kilometers. Fifth position for Luigi Martelozzo, Team Solarys, before Loic Minaudieur (photo2) and Maurizio Gerini. For what concerns the European TT Championship, Jacopo Cerutti has repeated the great performance of the previous day gaining the best result on both Selective Sectors, while the best achievement has gone to Emilio Procaccini, Beta Dirt Racing.
