HMS Prize Giving ceremony in Croatia

Last weekend, the Croatian Federation HMS organised the yearly Prize Giving Ceremony in Jastrebarsko. A total of 250 invited people joined the Ceremony with many trophies, plates, cups and awards. HMS can be proud of the presence and nice words of many important sponsors, partners and representatives of all kind of authorities. FIM Europe Non-Sporting Council in Rome Fiumicino (Italy)

On Saturday 19th January, the FIM Europe Non-Sporting Council was held in Rome/Fiumicino (Italy), following  the Non-Sporting Commission Meetings: the Environment Commission chaired by Mr. Adamo Leonzio,  the Touring Commission  chaired by Mr. Nils Freivalds, the Public Affairs Commission chaired by Mr. Dimitris Margaritis and the Marketing, Promotion & Industry Commission chaired by Mr. Blagoja Petrovski. The work has progressed smoothly and the results were shared and discussed together with the 2nd Deputy President,  Mr. Silvio Manicardi. Mr. Manicardi quote: “Some of the points discussed during the Commission meetings have a high interest for the  good and smooth progress of our activities. I hope that all our world will follow closely the changes that are occurring, in order to be ready to tackle new possible challenges”. FIM Europe Sporting Activities in 2018 – The analysis of Mr Martin de Graaff

At the end of 2018 we have asked for analysis of the European Championships and Cups to Martin de Graaff, FIM Europe Acting President and Chairman of the Sporting Council (in the photo aside). Here are his reflections. As Autumn kicked in across Europe, the Sporting Commissions joined their final meetings thereby asserting their commitment to advance the engagements in the various disciplines. This addition marked a great year for the FIM Europe Sporting Commissions with 3 new chairmen joining our family cooperating to promote the sports and the exchange valuable knowledge: Road Racing, Drag Racing and Trial. The Management Council received the usual list of proposals for the various motorsport disciplines and in the meeting in December everything was discussed and almost approved. New Updates to the 2019 MXGP and EMX Calendar

With the 2019 MXGP Season on the horizon Youthstream announces a revised calendar for the FIM Motocross World Championship which involves also EMX 2T, EMX 125 and EMX250. The calendar which will start on March the 2nd and the 3rd at the beautiful Patagonia-Argentina Circuit of Neuquen. Firstly, the MXGP of Switzerland anticipated for August has been cancelled and is instead working to return to the calendar in the 2020 season. Following the removal of Switzerland, the MXGP of Italy in Imola will now be held on the 17th and 18th of August instead of the 21st and 22nd of September. Meanwhile the MXGP of Hong Kong will move from the 20th and 21st of April to the now available 21st and 22nd of September as per the local organization request. 2019 updates to FIM CEV Repsol regulations

The FIM CEV Repsol Committee has decided to introduce the following changes and updates to the regulations: • Practising during the week of the FIM CEV Repsol is allowed, but only if it is immediately after a MotoGP™ Grand Prix on the same circuit. Note: this is only applicable to the final event of the season • The maximum number of days of free practice allowed will count from January 1st of the season. • It is mandatory to use a back and chest protector. • The maximum number of riders admitted will be 44 in practice and qualifying and 38 in the race, in all circuits on the FIM CEV Repsol calendar. • It is forbidden to install rear fenders in the European Talent Cup. FIM Europe Management Council at Fiumicino (Rome)

The meeting of the FIM Europe Management Council was held today in Fiumicino (Rome), Italy. The agenda of the meeting was full of topics and decisions to be taken. In particular, the Management Council approved the changes to the sporting rules for the different disciplines, the sporting calendar, the license validities and calendar fees for 2019. The 1st Deputy President, now also Acting President, Mr. Martin de Graaff, presented his report, concerning the news after the FIM General Assembly in Andorra and he submitted in particular all a series of ideas, projects and proposals coming from the Sporting Commission Meetings held, in two groups, in October and November. Mr. De Graaff, now in his double role of Chairman of the Sporting Council and Acting President will have to follow several matters and, for this reason, he asked also for the support of the other Management Council Members. 25 years jubilee of the Slovakian Federation

On November 8th FIM Europe Deputy/Acting President Martin de Graaff visited the Slovakian Motorcycling Federation (SMF) in Puchov for the celebration of the 25 years jubilee, combined with the Award Ceremony. In all categories the champions filled the podium, and the event was completed by music and dancing shows. The responsible Vice Presidents of all disciplines handed over the trophies together with the President of the Federation Peter Lazar. Above, the MX champions. Martin de Graaff pointed out the role of this very active Federation in the latest 25 years. At the start in Povazka Bystrica in 1993 the SMF had 260 sporting members, this year it has 1.300, to confirm how successful the Federation is. Motocross an Enduro are the most represented disciplines, but also Road Racing, Trial and Speedway are popular in Slovakia. Besides Motorsport, attention for Touring Activities and Road Safety are on the SMF agenda. Above

Alpe Adria Motorcycle Union General Assembly at Prague

The Alpe Adria Motorcycle Union elective General Assembly was held on Saturday 8 December 2018, at Autoclub of the Czech Republic at Prague. Representatives of six AA federations ACCR, AMF, AMZS, MAMS, HMS, SMF, plus two guest federations PZM and MS BiH were present at the General Assembly and Commissions meetings. In the first part of the meeting Mr. Attila Nagy, president of AAMU gave information about AAMU new registration in Croatia. After the first part of the meeting, elections have been held: Mr. Attila Nagy was elected as new AAMU president, the appointment of the Vice President Mr. Martin Suchy, the appointment of the General Secretary Mr. Dean Grbac. Also the appointment of the Commission Chairmans was held, the appointment of the Circuit Racing Commission Mr. Martin Hejduk, the appointment of the Enduro Commission Mr. Sandor Sasvari and Vice president of the Enduro Commission responsible for Extreme Enduro Mr.
