2020 FIM Motocross European Championship Provisional Calendar Now that the 2019 MXGP Season is running into the second half, FIM Europe and Youthstream are proud to release the 2020 FIM Motocross European Championships Provisional Calendar for classes EMX125, EMX250, EMX2T and EMX Open. From 2020 the EMX Open Championship will be combined with MXGP/MX2 events within Europe. There will be 6 events counting towards the championship standings in the EMX Open Championship, all at MXGP/MX2 events similar to and in the same format as the EMX125, EMX250 and EMX2T championships. From 2020 and onwards the EMX Open championship will be open to riders from 16 years old up to 50 years old on motorcycles from 175cc up to 450cc, for both 2strokes and 4strokes. “I’m extremely happy with this initiative from Youthstream”, - stated the Motocross Commission chairman, Mr. Eddie Herd, – “I believe that this is a major step forward

Dragbike Europen Championship: the race in Finland First event for the Dragbike on Kauhava track, Finland. The entry fields in three of the four classes was very good with a nice mix of international teams and national. The winners of the different classes showed this mix perfectly: TFB was won by Filippos Papafilippou from Greece, STB was won by Harri Piensalmi from Finland, PSB was won by Fredrik Fredlund from Aland and SSB by Vesa Ruhanen from Finland.

Vintage Endurance Cup - Bikers Classic: the third round in Belgium Photo credit: DG Sport The 3rd round of the FIM Europe 4h Endurance Classic Cup in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, was raced on 06th-07th July. The event was held at the Bikers Classic weekend, one of the biggest gatherings of classic racing motorcycles in Europe, with more than 800 riders. 63 teams (151 rider) qualified for the race and a new class joined the race: Evo class with bikes from ‘83 to ’91, joined the competition together with the Cup’s 4 usual classes: Classic, Maxi, Classic, Formula, Open. Even if on the race day some rain felt down on Spa Circuit, the dry track allowed the riders to improve their lap times with a hard-fought battle for the victory in each class. European U21 Individual Speedway Championship Qualifying Round 1 - Poland Polish Gdansk track hosted the European U21 Speedway Qualifying Round 1 with riders from 8 different countries. The meeting was run on a wet track following some rain in the first part of the day.  Top five final classification: Roman Lakhbaum, Russia Jakub Miśkowiak, Poland Daniel Bewley, Great Britain Mateusz Cierniak, Poland Michał Curzytek, Poland   Qualifying Round 2 - Hungary The Qualifying Round 2 was raced in Nagyhalasz, Hungary, in front of 2 thousand spectators with good weather conditions. The fight for the qualifications to the final was so tigh with several crashes. After 4 series, 8 riders had a chance to get a promotion. The best was Jan Kvech (14 points), second position for Petr Chlupac (12 points) and third for Artjom Trofimows (11 points). Favourite Nick Skorja had an unlucky race with a crash in heat 17.
