EMX65 and 85 NW and ITP Quad at Moorgrund, Germany – Day2

EMX65 and 85 NW and Quad were held today at Moorgrund-Gumpelstadt, in Germany.

This morning during the warm up a light rain started followed by strong rain with hail and during the day some showers continued.
EMX 85 – The first heat saw an interesting race of the young Spanish rider Eric Tomas. Second place for German Maximilian Spies followed by the the leader of the championship, Emil Jönrup, from Sweden.
In the second heat, Spies was the leader for the first laps, then Mathias Vesterinen, from Finland, overtook him and won in front of Danish Rasmus Pedersen and Spies, winner of the overall.
EMX 65 – The first heat in EMX65 was dominated by Liam Everts, from Belgium, who won ahead of Danish Mads Fredsoe and of Czech Adam Maj. In the second heat Mads Fredsoe was the leader for the first seven laps, than Liam Everts from Belgium took the head of the race and won in front of Fredsoe and of Ivano van Erp, from The Netherlands. Liam Everts is the winner of the overall.

ITP EMX Quad – The first heat started after heavy rain. Dutch Joe Maassen was the unexpected  start-finish leader. The 2015 champion Edgars Mengelis and French Adrian Mangieu were disqualified, being too late in the waiting zone. Mike van Grinsven from The Netherlands gained the second place in front of Italian Andrea jr Cesari.
In the second heat Edgars Mengelis was the first leader, but in the last lap he had to slow down because of a flat tire and the win went to French Adrian Mangieu, in front of Mengelis and of Kevin Saar, from Estonia. With the fourth place Andrea Jr Cesari is the winner of the overall.
